Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Bird Rock, San Diego

Studio-sized place with amazingly-well-appointed kitchen (you could actually cook or bake there!). Bedroom mostly taken up with HUGE (California King-sized?) bed; pretty comfortable, but unnecessarily playground-sized (even for 2 good-sized adults). Lighted walk-in closet (nice!); good for out-of-the-way storage of suitcases, cooler, etc.). Beautiful residential neighborhood with ocean views, CVS, restaurants, shops - all only a short half-block away. Thermostat reasonably intuitive, as were all other appliances. Occasionally heard residents upstairs, but of short duration, not particularly intrusive, & only during the day. All in all, would happily book this place again!

This home was amazing! Everything was perfect and just as advertised. The host was very responsive and made everything easy for us. Looking forward to being back in the near future!

We had a wonderful stay in Bird Rock with our two year old. We were able to walk to the grocery store daily (Gelsons) and to Tourmaline beach, plenty of restaurants and shops to see as well! We didn’t struggle with parking but that could be the hours we keep with a toddler :) quiet and peaceful with everything we needed in the kitchen to cook. Both bathrooms are attached to a bedroom, if that matters to anyone while managing a nap/toddler sleep schedule. We loved sitting on the patio with our coffee in the morning and watching the local scene. Would love to return one day.

This is probably one of my favorite Airbnb properties we've ever stayed in!! Ricardo was such an amazing host...great recommendations, checked in with us to see if we needed anything and was responsive the entire stay. The place felt just like home! Located on a beautiful street with gorgeous houses and walking distance to the beach and boardwalk (literally a block away), grocery store (an easy walk) and fantastic restaurants all within walking distance. No car needed. The place is breathtaking...very romantic! Extremely private and so cozy and super clean!! The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was fantastic, especially with the fireplace and TV which we used almost every night. We used the grill and it was perfect for a night in. If your dates are available, book it immediately...I promise you will not be disappointed! We can't wait to come back and stay here again! Ricardo, you're the best! Thank you for everything!!! :))

A fantastic home - Quiet and beautiful neighborhood, great location. The house had everything we need. We travel a lot and my children (10, 12) both said they loved the house and did not want to leave. Would definitely stay again.

This is a great place to stay. While there is not much in quick walking distance it is a very short drive to shops, restaurants, and the beach. The place itself is clean, attractive, and well-equipped. The bed was super comfy and the cute and private outdoor patio is a great place to relax.

My first visit to San Diego and selecting Chad's place worked out great! Ocean Beach is a great neighborhood and was very walkable... so much to do right in the immediate area. Chad was very responsive, friendly and very welcoming! Highly recommend!! Already looking forward to a return trip to explore more.

We absolutely loved our stay at Maria’s home! The house was not only beautiful and spotless but also incredibly comfortable and welcoming. It had everything we needed for a relaxing, family-friendly getaway - from thoughtful amenities to a layout that made traveling with little ones a breeze. The location truly couldn’t be better. We were close to everything we wanted to explore and the neighborhood felt peaceful and safe, which was perfect combination. It instantly felt like home, and we genuinely didn’t want to leave. Maria was a fantastic host, responsive and kind, and made sure we had everything we needed. We’re already dreaming of our next trip back. If you’re looking for the perfect La Jolla stay, this is it!

Prime location, great amenities, place looks exactly like the photos, very very clean.. I have no qualms! Anna is very prompt with her instructions and responds quickly if needed. She goes above and beyond to satisfy and cater to her guests. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need for a short term stay-- all complimentary, as well. The check in and check out process was extremely easy and smooth. My only complaint (which is a personal preference and why I won't dock anything from her rating but figured it would be helpful for those who are light sleepers like me) is that the overhead window that is over the bed does not have any curtains. It makes sleeping soundly for light-sensitive sleepers like me a bit difficult! This was easily fixable by bringing my travel black out curtain. Just a friendly heads up for those alike. I will be on the lookout for her listing any time I'm back in SD!

This was just what we needed for our stay! Easy walk to the bay, and to surrounding restaurants. Quinn gave very clear instructions on where everything was.

Clean place! Note: if you’re going to accommodate 2 people, you should set up for 2 people. Plates, bowls, hand towels, wash cloths. Luis was quick to provide what we needed. Instructions on AC/Heater and TV remotes could be clearer.

I can't say enough great things about this place! I had a family trip come together super last minute and this is one of the only places in the area that was still available in my price range. Well, we got EXTREMELY lucky to get in here. I would've chosen this over other ones that I paid much more for on Mission Beach in the past. Not only is it walkable to the ocean, but there's this fantastic little courtyard with a fireplace, deployable shade, and even a beautiful weeping fig in the back courtyard. The neighbors were all very kind and wanted to be sure we had everything we needed. My kids loved the place, and there was plenty of space for us all to be together at times and also have some private space when we needed it. There's a full grocery store within walking distance as well as plenty of restaurants. My sister came by for a visit and she was able to find street parking nearby, which is much harder further south on Mission Beach. We loved this place! 17 out of 5 stars!

This was perfect spot, walking distance to Mission Bay, restaurants, grocery store, etc. It was clean, quiet and we had a great stay!

Joaquins place was so nice and as pictured. We felt so at home and had everything we needed for a nice stay! We really appreciated the hospitality and the bikes were a plus! The location is great and parking was easy. The bed was comfortable, everything was perfect. Some tips: the place was a little difficult for us to find (a user error Im sure) but we looked at the trash cans for the house number. To adjust the seat on the bikes there are tools attached to one of the pouches on one of the bikes. You won't be disappointed in this rental, would definitely stay again!

What a great location in North PB. Close to restaurants and walkable to the beach. It was great for our little family of 3. The place had all the necessities we needed. Neldia was a great host. Responsive and courteous.

This is hands down one of the best stays my husband and I have ever had! Not only was the place super easy to find, but it was well stocked, clean and comfortable. The host, Connie, was extremely kind and flexible with us when our check in was late. She made us feel right at home and the value of the stay far exceeds the price. I highly recommend their granny flat in La Mesa and hope I can come back again very soon!!

Great time! Really close to the beach and the condo was really clean and equipped with everything needed

This was our second time staying here. The location is quiet, close to the beach, and it is nice that they supply everything you need for the beach and babies. I appreciate the high chair and foldable crib. They supply beach chairs, toys, boogie boards, towels, and a wagon to hold it all. There were even strollers with large wheels that could better access the sandy beach than our umbrella stroller. The outdoor yard area is a nice place to hang out. There were people staying above us and we barely heard them. Not enough to disrupt our stay. We will definitely be back!

location was perfect. peaceful. close to beach and shops. liked the layout of apartment. spacious not cluttered. easy to maintain.. appreciated having free netflix and amazon prime. .Lastly Cassandra, generous host. allowed extra time for checkout.

This IS the place to stay on Mission Beach. We have rented quite a few places there over the years and this one was THE BEST! Perfect location, beautiful interior, clean, modern, convenient. We will definitely be back and will recommend to other Zonies!

Incredible location right on the beach! Great restaurants and eateries all in walking distance, including coffee shops, bakery, and convenience stores. Emmy's welcome book included great tips and recommendations for the area. Both the kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed, both well stocked. Highly recommend.
