Monthly Rentals in Boisse

Catherine’s place is fantastic value. Edith greeted us warmly and helpfully went through all the things we needed to know. The house is as pictured with all we needed for our stay. The grounds are beautiful, with lovely views of the sunset from the outside area. My children loved the pool and toys.

This is a 5 star stay. Absolutely lovely hosts. Beautifully renovated ancient stone house inside the heart of a medieval village just dripping with charm and authenticity. Brand new fridge loads of space, kitchen is spotless and has every gadget imaginable. Well thought out space with living / dining area, bathroom with rainwater shower, washing machine, pantry all downstairs. Upstairs is another living area, another bathroom with bathtub, double sided bookshelf separates living space from lovely queen bedroom with huge stained glass window. Lots of natural light, objets d’arr, great bedding plush pillows, ample towels, lots of spices and cooking supplies. Margo and John are attendant to every and any need and are fabulous people - they know where anything you’d want to do, shop for, see, eat, experience is located and when it is open. That front patio full of plants and beauty and sunshine is amazing.Parking, shops, restaurants, narrow ancient charming streets, just stunning. 5*!!

We’ve stayed in many lovely Airbnb properties in the Uk and abroad but La Barat was the loveliest. The gite itself is wonderful. We stayed during an intense heatwave but the gite was so cool. It contained everything we needed from basic cooking ingredients ( oil,salt,pepper, foil etc) to beach towels to great books ( French and English) It was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. We haven’t slept as well in a long time. The plethora of birds singing in the trees that surround the garden, the croaking of the frogs and the sight of a red squirrel all added to the feeling of being at one with nature. Issigeac is beautiful. It has a lovely boulangerie/patisserie where we bought our breakfast baguettes and a Spar which stocks all essentials.The Sunday market is wonderful. The nearest large supermarket is about 10 minutes away. We can highly recommend a walk to,and around La Nette lac around a 10 minutes walk away. Again,so peaceful. Very good accommodation for a family, each with their own room🙂. Quiet, at the foot of the big Sunday market. A big thank you to Gwenaëlle and Nicolas for their kindness in letting us have the accommodation before the arrival time to be able to prepare before a wedding next door. We recommend this very cozy accommodation. 🙂
