Really helpful host and lovely location!

We stayed at Simon and Belinda's place for a week and it was exactly what we needed. Fantastic location for walks and food. The Wainwright's Inn is only 0.2 miles away. Great food and local ales on your doorstep. The cottage is cosy, the kitchen is well equipped and the information provided was very thorough and useful. There are some books in the house they have prepared to show various walks and local recommendations. We did some of these walks and our 5 year old enjoyed every second! We took advantage of the leisure facilities at The Langdale. This was a great addition to the cottage! Really recommend if you want a place near to town locations, walks and local pubs/cafés/restaurants.

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

Beautiful location for a lovely farm stay, great views from the hot tub! Loved being able to watch the cows and sheep. Claire was lovely and was ready to help at any moment despite us arriving so late at night! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

We all felt incredibly spoilt at tower cottage. The accommodation just had a wonderful, relaxed, comforting playful energy about it. It felt that every ornament or artifact that the cottage held had a story behind it and what a privilege for us. It was joyous. The grounds, well that was something else. Early morning Deer, the call of the chiff chaff, the fast low flight of the sparrow hawk through the woods, the soothing sound of the stream in an evening, a great crested grebe joining us for our Sunday morning dip and the joy of the marble run in the woods reminded us to freely play all weekend as a friendship group. Living next door, Ruth and mark were on hand if we needed help or advice without ever feeling like our time and space was compromised. Relaxed wholesome hosts who love where they live. Their kindness was infectious. We will definitely be back.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place and friendlier helpful host. Kathryn was attentive and was very responsive, always friendly and helpful. This cottage is very spacious, modern and clean. We really enjoyed our time here. We are already planning when to go back. The views from the windows and the hot tub are beautiful. There is so much to do, we needed much longer to explore more areas and go on more walks. We would definitely recommend this place.

Teapot Cottage is a beautiful place to stay. It was very well kitted out, decorated very nicely, and had lots of nice touches to make our stay even better. Lammisa was a great host - very responsive and friendly, and was happy to help whenever needed. There's great local amenities within walking distance, and several local villages and towns within a short drive, including Ennerdale Lake. The place was very comfortable, with plenty of seating indoor and out, with several comfy beds suitable for a group of adults. The only thing to be aware of is that the bedroom with the bunk beds has very little storage space, so if you're staying for a few days and have a large bag/suitcase - you'll need to find somewhere else to put it! Overall - we were all very pleased with this stay and we'd definitely book again in future.

An excellent cottage walking distance to the town centre. Close to pubs and shops. The property was in excellent condition and the welcome pack was very nice. Excellent stay.

Very welcoming hosts and an impressive place to rent. The interior is in stylish, comfortable and in great condition. The location is quieter than others in the lake district but only 15 mins from Bowness. We loved our weekend.

Our stay was home from home fantastic location with great views. The house had plenty of room was comfortable and very relaxing. Mike and Hazel were super hosts all our needs were taken care of. We will most definitely be booking another stay soon.

Alison is a delightful lady. So kind and helpful. Her cottage ( we stayed in Jemima Puddleduck) was very comfortable. Beds and pullows especially and all spotlessly clean. All we needed was provided Alison had thought of everything. We had a fantastic week. Thank you.

Fabulous little find here. Very functional cottage with some fantastic views. Need to be able to drive but that’s not really a big issue. Very responsive and helpful hosts who made the stay very easy.

We absolutely loved our three nights at Jonnty’s place! The place itself is a lovely, spacious barn conversion that is warm, very comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen with range cooker is fab and the living / dining room is huge and has a comfy sofa and big TV. The bedroom is also roomy and has a world class bed that’s perfect after a hard day on the fells. Jonnty, meanwhile, is a great host - knowledgable on the local area, friendly and when my car needed repairing he rang his neighbour who got it fixed the next day, no problems. Overall, this is a superb place with a great host - we couldn’t have asked for more and will be back. Thanks Jonnty!

Rose Cottage is an absolute gem of a residence. The cottage was well thought out beautifully appointed and had everything needed to make a success of our stay. Clear instruction was available on all items we would need to use and everything worked as it should. Rose cottage is a quaint property that welcomes everyone that enters. Natasha was an excellent host with great communication offering lots of local things to do. We cannot recommend her or her cottage highly enough. Thankyou

We were so happy we decided to stay in Braithwaite and were very comfortable in Jayne’s place. The location is very close to Keswick, just an 8 or so minute drive, hiking, and everything anyone would want to do in the area. The accommodation itself was very clean, well appointed, and there was plenty of information about hikes, walks, things to do in the area, all there organized for you. The kitchen had anything you could ever need, we appreciated the sealable food containers for leftovers we had from making our own meals. We immediately felt right at home. Thank you Jayne and Trevor for you hospitality and allowing us to enjoy not only your lovely property, but also your beautiful town.

Had a wonderful week at Crag cottage. Perfect base for lots of fell walks direct from the door. Made use of the really good bus service to walk further afield. Cottage was really well equipped, lovely and clean and in a super spot so close to town, yet still quiet and peaceful. Ariadna was great at communicating with us and text us to say we could arrive earlier than advertised. Many thanks, we will be back!

Jem’s Conga’ was the perfect spot to explore Ambleside and the nearby towns of Bowness, Grasmere and Keswick. Jem was a brilliant host who shared ideas of walks and things to keep us occupied in the rain. A comfortable, homely, cosy cottage in a stunning and peaceful setting.

We had a wonderful stay at Jennies place, beautiful surroundings and private places to sit and enjoy the view. It’s a very cosy cottage, you instantly feel at home when you walk through the door. Plenty of space for everyone(4adults,3 children) and well equipped. We loved the location as you could take a lovely valley walk up to the local pub and also enjoy being away from the hustle and bustle of a town centre. Thank you for sharing your lovely place with us!

This was our second stay at The Haven and it was just as lovely as we remembered! Beautiful surroundings and extremely clean, the property had everything we needed. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning in the future!

I thought the pictures were nice when I booked but the place was beyond my expectations. It had everything you could wish for and looking out at the waterfall was just amazing. I have never seen anything quite as beautiful. The hosts were fab and were very welcoming and the surrounding countryside is just stunning. I had a wonderful stay. I will definitely be back.

The barn was clean, warm and had everything we needed. Great location for day trips to Keswick, Ambleside, Ullswater etc! We had a lovely time and will definitely come back! Thank you :)
