Welcome to our completely independent guest house at home. Located in Heerhugowaard, a stone's throw from the train station and within walking distance of the shopping center. Here you can enjoy privacy, comfort and a beautifully landscaped garden with two ponds in which colorful koi carp and various species of turtles swim together. Inside, it is cozy and attractively decorated thanks to the fireplace and many decorations. Outside, you can relax under the veranda or on the sun terrace in the evening sun.

We welcome you in our home on the Great North Holland Canal. Our lovely studio has a private entrance and terrace and is situated on the ground floor. Includes use of 2 bicycles and a canoe. You can cycle from our studio to the beach in about 30 min. The historic city of Alkmaar is 15 min. away. Recreational area Geestmerambacht (walking, cycling, swimming, water sports) is within walking distance. Our studio is perfect for couples looking for a nice spot between the outdoors and the city.

Stay in a traditional Dutch Miller’s Cabin beside an authentic 1632 windmill, surrounded by canals and nature in the North Holland countryside. Hand built during the windmill’s restoration, the cabin offers a peaceful and unique stay while still being close to Alkmaar and only 40 minutes from Amsterdam by train. I am a traditional Dutch miller born and raised in Alkmaar, and my American wife, Kelly, and I enjoy sharing this special place with guests from around the world.

The holiday house is located on the North Holland Canal. The house is not very quiet, but cozy and centrally located to Alkmaar, Bergen and Schoorl. Very suitable for girlfriend clubs, bicycle clubs and families, who do not want to be in a holiday park. The house has many original details, which makes it atmospheric and characteristic. The house is connected to the owner's home, but there is plenty of privacy and a spacious private garden.

Beautiful vacation home in a quiet area located on the North Holland Canal. The rustic character of this house fits well in the area. In the front garden, there is a beautiful chestnut tree after which the BnB is named. From under the tree, you have a nice view of the canal and the meadows and dunes behind it.
