Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Bywater, New Orleans

The apartment is in a great location and was perfect for our needs. It’s a well appointed space and it felt like home for our brief 2 night visit. Will definitely try to stay here again for one of our many visits to New Orleans.

The host Jeffery sent me the site information before my arrival, and answered my few questions quickly. The duplex was a haven in the quiet Bywater neighborhood, very clean, charming, quiet and roomy, with interesting art and comfortable furnishings. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed, handy for me as I had breakfast there regularly. Both bedrooms were very comfy and several fans and three window air conditioners kept the whole place a pleasant temperature. BTW shotgun house so both bedrooms are walk-through, not private, though not a problem for my sister and me. The neighborhood is mostly residential with interesting multicolored homes, happily there are several cafes and restaurants within a few blocks. Very walkable. We loved both the home and the area. Highly recommended!

Mandie’s place was just as described,it was very clean and the bed was comfortable.She was very responsive, one of the best places I’ve stayed definitely would come back again.

This was a great place. It’s small, but the host had described that in both the Airbnb listing as well as in an email to me. It’s in an amazing neighborhood, beautiful homes and tree-lined streets. Convenient to all of New Orleans! I will definitely be going back there again.

The house was beautiful - if anything, I feel like it *exceeded* my expectations. Super spacious, lovingly decorated, all that good stuff. And the location was perfect, too; close to everything you want to be close to, but with enough privacy to get a good night's sleep. But that's just the house itself. Jason & Michelle were INCREDIBLE hosts. Just extraordinarily accommodating/communicative. I had a kinda wacky shipping request (due to my line of work/reason for being there), and Michelle wasn't just "okay with it", she was my dang partner in the whole ordeal. Simply above and beyond. I wouldn't just recommend this spot to a pal; I would chastise them for going elsewhere. 6 stars!!! <3

This place is amazing— great location, wonderful balcony to enjoy a coffee and catch some views, fun bars and restaurants nearby and easy to get to other neighborhoods. We’ve stayed here before and would absolutely stay here again/recommend to friends!

If you want to experience authentic New Orleans vibes in a 100+ year old shotgun, this is the place. The location is near plenty of bars and restaurants without being in the middle of the quarter. The owner was fantastic, and you can tell he put some love into this house. We got in late and had a minor issue, thinking he might respond the following day. Not only did he respond immediately, he fixed it within 15 minutes. We would absolutely stay here again.

We absolutely loved this place. It‘s spacious, calm, beautifully furnished comfortable and we always felt safe in the area. It’s in walking distance to the Frenchman Street and the French quarter and the neighborhood to the accommodation is well worth exploring too. Absolutely recommended! This studio, just around the corner from Frenchman Street is a great choice for a stay in New Orleans. Just steps away from the bars and music on Frenchman Street, this place offers a surprising level of privacy. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is spacious, with an antique tile, step-in shower. No steps anywhere! We enjoyed our stay with Lauren.

The pictures provided look’s just as good in person, very homey vibe, and doesn’t smell bad at all. Ronell communicated very well and didn’t give me a hard time, also sent me a list of food recommendations which were very helpful. Just be mindful because I’m pretty sure he stays under the 2 bedroom. (Definitely would book again) .

We felt welcomed even before we arrived. Ethelyn showed us true Southern hospitality from the very beginning. There was nothing lacking for us at her home—she had everything we needed and more!

Stayed here as we were passing through the state and looking for a quick but potent New Orleans experience. Adam’s home was the perfect combination of comfortable amount of space for three people, a location with plenty of options for food and entertainment, within walking distance or a short drive, and relaxation with a relatively quiet neighborhood feel. We felt safe and the parking was available right out the front door which were big pluses for us. The home was well stocked and the communication with the hosts was the cherry on top. Exceptional!

Spacious and well appointed apartment in a secure building in a really interesting neighbourhood with excellent cafes and bakery - conveniently located for walking or short drive to restaurants and tourist areas. Excellent and responsive host and would definitely stay here again!

A really great place to stay. So much attention to the little details like providing extra towels , paper towels , kitchen sponge . There was even aloe Vera gel in the fridge. Very thoughtful considerate items provided throughout the stay . Even in a blackout torches and laterns were in the property. We felt really cared for, and eased into the holiday so comfortably. Beds were really good too. I will definitely book again. A great stay in a very convenient location. Christina was very responsive and accommodating ! Awesome neighborhood with lots of great food/drink options. Extremely walkable to all popular locations. Loved the high ceilings inside as well as the sliding doors to separate the sleeping area. Very attentive host.

We enjoyed. Everything looked really good place was def as described. We needed more towels and she got someone to come right over.

I had a family emergency and had to fly into the area (30miles out of N.O.). My last night I decided to stay close to MSY due to projected higher than normal TSA wait times (7am flight). Stayed here for 1-night and I will return whenever I’m in N.O. Roughly less than 10mins from the airport. The unit was clean, private, and safe!

This was our second time staying in Joseph's place, and we would definitely stay there again. We love the location on Esplanade, which is an easy walk to either the French Quarter or Frenchman Street. There's a 24-hour bodega right next door that is well-stocked and friendly. Joseph offers a parking pass which makes all the difference for people like us who love the option of having a car to explore other parts of the City. The condo was comfortable and pretty, with the extra bonus of a balcony overlooking Esplanade. This is a second-floor unit so there are stairs to the entrance; there are also stairs to the bedroom and bathroom, but there's a half bath on the main floor which is very convenient. We're both used to stairs so it didn't bother us a bit. In all, we highly recommend Joseph as a host and his condo as an excellent choice for an Airbnb.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful condo! The space was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated—everything we needed for a relaxing visit. One of the highlights was definitely the balcony—it was the perfect spot to unwind in the evenings with a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. Another big plus was the secure parking, which gave us peace of mind and made coming and going super convenient. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to shops, restaurants, and local attractions. And when we wanted to explore further, a quick Uber ride got us to all the best spots downtown New Orleans has to offer. Highly recommend this condo for anyone looking for a safe, stylish, and convenient place to stay in NOLA!
