Set in a beautiful Glen, within walking distance of local amenities: including cafes and local shop . Local hotels also serve food in the evenings if you don't feel like cooking. The quite scenic side of Loch but half way between Inverness and Fort Augustus, so lots to see and do. Visit the Falls of Foyers and access the South Loch Ness Trail. Own transport advisable.

Rowanberry Bothy Retreat - At one with nature

Beautiful stone built bothy dating back to 19th century. Lovingly restored with original stonework around a cosy wood burner. We offer outstanding views across the Kyle of Sutherland and are situated in quiet countryside. The Bothy has a small kitchen (with limited cooking e.g. Airfryer ), bathroom with shower and use of laundry facilities if required. . We are situated 1 hour North of Inverness and only 1 hour from Ullapool on the stunning NC500 route. BBQ and charcoal provided.

The kitchen wing flat at Balintore Castle (1860) was restored in 2019 and has proven very popular. Full self-catering facilities are available. The Knockie Cottage is a 2-bedroom cottage with bathroom and private access. Enjoy the views of the Highlands (approx 27 miles from Inverness) with its beautiful open countryside and mountains. Just outside you have Loch Knockie that attracts a variety of wildlife and is great for trout fly fishing. Enjoy fishing in the private Loch nan Lann. The Cottage is perfectly situated for explore Loch Ness and enjoy hiking the beautiful hills.
