Located on Portage Lake in Chassell, MI, near Houghton with quick access to Michigan Tech University, this rustic family cabin is a great place for either an overnight stay or a longer getaway. It provides a great home base for travel in the Keweenaw peninsula! As a 1930s cabin with a sauna on the lake along with a great view, the focus is on the experience! We find guests who truly enjoy our place are flexible with rustic conditions (not looking for Holiday Inn Express) and young at heart!

This studio apartment is lofted above the detached garage with a private entrance. Within walking distance of bars, restaurants, coffeehouses, bakeries, and local ski and snowmobile trails our guest home is a perfect place to explore all the Keweenaw peninsula has to offer. Guests have 24/7 access to the host, when necessary, as I live in the detached main house.

Nice, clean apartment just 5 minutes from Michigan Tech and a view of Portage Lake (lake access too!). One stall of garage parking available so you can go right from car to apartment without dealing with the snow. The driveway is plowed. Wifi, heat, keurig coffee selection included. Washer and dryer are in the spacious bathroom with a shower. Full kitchen and electric fireplace. Stairlift from garage. Queen sized bed with additional pullout couch (about full sz) and toddler bed.

Entire Back Unit in Lake Linden

Private, cozy, 1 bedroom loft style apartment. We live in the front unit but will give as much privacy as you need. Home located on the main road through Lake Linden, just 20 mins from Michigan Tech, 15 mins from Houghton and 10 mins from Calumet. The best thing about our location is how close we are to so many gorgeous spots, including a beach, playground, campground and Torch Lake. We have a two night minimum stay.

Safe Travels

Welcome to a century old mining house! A Very comfortable home with a large double lot. Located in the middle of paradise with Lake Superior not far from us in any direction. Less than a 1/2 mile from the main snowmobile/Atv trail, close to Mont Ripley, Swedetown, Mont Bohemia. We are centrally located between Houghton (20 miles away), Copper Harbor (25 miles away) and Calumet (5 miles). A great value.

Chassell Bay Cottage #3

Discover our charming Portage Lake cottage for 4–6 guests (double bed, queen pullout, and kids’ bunk room). Just 6 miles from Michigan Tech with unobstructed water views. Clean 2-bedroom just steps from the lake, nestled among two other cottages. Shared amenities include a fire pit, picnic table, and boat dock—perfect for relaxation or adventure on the Keweenaw!

Ski Street House

The Ski Street house is in Calumets Swedetown division. The house is located on ATV, biking, hiking and ski trails for year round recreational fun. The Swedetown ponds and the recreational area are 1/4 mile from the house. Along the trails are apple trees, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and choke cherries for picking during the summer.

Allouez Old Mining House, Heart of the Keweenaw

A basic mining era home. It's certainly not a luxury rental, but we do our best to keep it clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. It's located in the heart of the Keweenaw and plenty of parking space in our vacant lot across the street. There's a large yard and it is dog friendly (fee of $50).
