Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Calvados

From the beginning a warm welcome from Julie, and a warm feeling when entering the house. A beautiful, cozily furnished house, with all amenities. Located in a quiet, green area. Plenty of privacy, large garden where the children could play. The location of the house is convenient, to combine with trips in Normandy. Such as the landing beaches, Honfleur. We thoroughly enjoyed the house, an experience not to forget!!

We were pleasantly surprised by the little community there and especially the restaurant when we arrived rather late. Our hosts were very accommodating and pleasant. We would definitely rebook.

We had an amazing stay with our young baby at Samuelle's place. The converted farmhouse building has a lot of character but was also modern and comfortable. The lake and ducks outside the door was very relaxing. The location is very quiet and peaceful. A car is essential for getting to local amenities but a large supermarket and a bakery are only a 5 minute drive away. The D Day landing beaches, museums and historic town of Bayeux can be reached within an easy 20 minute drive. Samuelle was a great host, she was very friendly and always able to help with any questions.

We had a great week at this place. The whole place matched the photos, whether it was the interior or the relaxing view of the sea. The bedding is good quality and the accommodation is worth the asking price. The host was discreet throughout the stay (unless we needed her by message), we just met her for the key handover before our departure. She is kind and smiling. We highly recommend this accommodation and we will come back if we have the opportunity to visit Normandy.

Awesome stay in this cute house! So so clean with lovely linens. Great kitchen set up- we loved the juicer for orange pressé! Amazing having the gym and used badminton rackets for some evening fun. Really easy to get to a little town for bread and croissants, vegetables and even a mini market. We visited Bayeux, Deauville and Honfleur really easily and it was lovely to come out of the towns and back to this house! Thank you- we loved it!!

What a perfect stay we have had, truely outstanding. The cottage was so pretty, clean and beautifully furnished. The location was excellent for exploring the vast history and beautiful Normandy countryside. Rodolphe and his family were extremely welcoming, friendly and on hand to offer any help or recommendations. We really enjoyed every minute and would love to return next year. Highly recommend. Wonderful stay! Fanny and Julien are lovely hosts, very kind, welcoming and always responsive. When I arrived, the accommodation was impeccable: clean, tidy and perfectly in line with the description. Everything you need is in the apartment, which makes it very convenient and comfortable. The location is ideal, with many activities and restaurants nearby, not to mention the beach close 🏖️ by! Fanny and Julien are available if needed, which is really reassuring. Once again, thank you for everything! I would definitely stay again. 🥰

As others have mentioned this is an excellent holiday flat and superb base from which to explore Normandy and the beautiful city of Caen. The flat is clean, comfortable and is very well equipped for self-catering though the nearby town center bars and restaurants may tempt you out at little more that you planned. Highlights include secure and convenient parking, excellent bathroom and shower, comfortable bed and the bonus of a lovely private garden to kick back while sampling the local calvados in the evening. As mentioned the flat is very central with a five minute walk into the center for fresh bread and croissants in the morning. Caen itself is full of surprises with beautiful churches and abbeys combined with a very laid back atmosphere. Though we did not meet Christine her ongoing communication was both discrete and charming. Book you wont regret it. 5 stars all round

We had a great weekend at Frédéric's, the accommodation is perfect for a short stay by the sea. The immediate proximity to the beach and the outdoor terrace are real pluses for this accommodation, Everything was impeccable, we only used the large bed and the mattresses were very comfortable. Frédéric is a very accommodating and friendly host, we will return to his accommodation on occasion.

An apartment that allows complete disconnection. We felt so rested... Getting up with the sea view is just amazing. We never tire of it and have chosen the apartment as our second home in Cabourg! We can't wait to come back! Thank you to Karine for her flexibility, and the welcome.

Very nice accommodation, particularly well located since it is almost on the seafront. Particularly large bed, which is a plus for very tall people. Very cozy and nice accommodation. It was easy for us to park our vehicle for free. Stephanie is very friendly and responsive. Thank you very much

We had a great weekend at Frédéric's, the apartment is modern, well laid out, well stocked, nothing was missing! And what about the exceptional location with this balcony and its sea view. All this just a stone's throw from the center. Frédéric always responded very quickly and was very accommodating. We were greeted by Michel on arrival who was very welcoming. We'll be happy to go back!

My husband and I have just spent two wonderful weeks at Miguel and Karine's. The apartment is very functional and warm, and of exemplary cleanliness. They are very attentive hosts and really concerned with making their nice accommodation as hospitable as possible. Nothing is missing: there are even some very well-chosen books and indoor and outdoor games! The location with sea view is really very nice: very quiet and in a nice residence. Impossible to get bored even if you want to forget the car: just a few steps away, there is the nautical club and the beautiful promenade along the beach (for pedestrians and bikes) that goes from the resorts of Lion sur Mer to the center of Ouistreham with a maritime port and various museums... and nearby: a very good restaurant and a small beach bar for ice cream and pancakes: very nice! It was a beautiful discovery and we hope to return!

We had a very good stay in Quentin's apartment, located in a nice, quiet residence, less than 8 minutes' walk from the beach. We recommend this address if you want to spend a few days in Cabourg and visit its surroundings!

Beautiful views and well-catered. Check in was easy with Katrin who spoke very good English, which was good because our French isn't great! Cabourg itself is lovely and only a 5-10 min walk away.

We had a fantastic stay and communication was great! Would definitely return!

The apartment is superb. It's well equipped. Olivier was very attentive and answered our questions. The place is very nice and is an ideal starting point to visit the beaches of Desembarco and the part of L'Havre. Very close to the beach. I recommend it 100%
