Family-friendly holiday rentals in Carova Beach, Currituck County

This house was perfect for our family and really close to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and then some. Most of all we loved how close it was to the beach!

we had a great stay at this house! the location was perfect and so close to stores and a grocery which was super convenient. The beds were super comfortable and all in all it was a great spot for the family. would definitely stay here again.

We love staying at Donald’s Duck! This was our second stay and we think this place is just so cute and cozy. Our favorite place is the beautifully lit pool area. It’s a short walk to the beach. The indoor space is beautiful and clean. Mark is a very responsive and helpful host! We love the proximity to the shops and restaurants.

George was a wonderful host and the house is in a great location.

Jorge was an excellent host - very proactive and responsive, and just a pleasure to meet and speak with. We thoroughly enjoyed his beach home, and we are very happy it was available to us.

The house was very clean and ready for guests when we arrived. It was also in a great area and very close to the beach. The host was very quick to respond to every message and gave very good recommendations for things to do and places to go. 10/10 would go again.

We stayed here for a week with two families of 4. The house is actually much nicer than the feel the pictures give, it’s bright and very well cared for. The location is close to downtown Duck, walkable, but also felt very private. It’s a short walk (5-10 minutes, depending on how fast you walk) to the beach. It had a cart and everything we needed for some fun on the beach. The house fit us perfectly and I think we could have added one more small family and been perfectly comfortable, the only thing that wouldn’t have worked was the size of the dining room table, which was a little tight for 8. It had everything we needed and the bed were surprisingly comfortable. The house was clean and tidy. This is a GREAT house for kids. It has a nice playroom downstairs and the fact that the pool is fenced from the house made us feel comfortable letting our youngest kiddos run and play freely in the house. The pool is small but perfect and the hot tub was great for unwinding!

We had an amazing time. The house was perfect for us. We really enjoyed the pool and short walk to the beach. We could hear the ocean from the master suite. The upstairs deck had view of the water. Everything about our stay was perfect. The area was nice and was quiet and peaceful. We will definitely go back and stay longer next year. Thank you!!!

Amazing experience. This was the very best Airbnb I have ever stayed. Felt at home. Absolutely above and beyond my dreams Anything and everything you would need from your home, they have. I didn't need to go out and purchase 1 item. The kitchen was completely stocked with all pots, pans, and more. The kindest host. Thank you for the most amazing and 1st Grandkids vacation. The place was perfect for us. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood. It’s about ~2 miles from the shops of Duck. The beach is less than five minutes walk—our dog loved it. We had a great time! The hosts were very responsive and check in and check out were a breeze.

Hands down my favorite stay in the OBX, great location, perfect for my puppy, can walk to the beach, local convenience store/food. Host was amazing gave me great recommendations!

Our stay was fabulous and Chuck was a great host. Communication was fantastic and the cottage was wonderful. Had a nice package of goodies for us. Whenever I had a question he responded quickly. Nice neighborhood and only 13 minutes from my so and daughter-in-laws house and got to see our new granddaughter. I would highly recommend Chuck. When we come to visit the family again I will be contacting Chuck.

I had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage was spotless, very clean, beds were comfortable, it was exactly how it is depicted and described. I needed a place to decompress after my dad’s funeral and this was just the place. I traveled with my German Shepherd and we were able to take long walks on the beach right across the street. The host was very responsive to any questions I had and communicated when the place was ready early. Would totally recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Alison’s place! It was perfect for our group—which included my spouse, our family dog, and my grandmother-in-law. The house was just as advertised: clean, spacious, and in a fantastic location. It’s in a quiet neighborhood but still within walking distance to the beach, a grocery store, local shops, and even an ice cream shop, which we loved. Although the range broke on our first night, Alison and her husband were incredibly responsive and had it replaced within a few days. Their quick action really stood out and made us feel well taken care of. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

This is our second time staying here with our three young children and it was just as great as the first. The house is well equipped with everything you would need and more, including kitchen accessories, beach chairs and toys, pool toys, books, and games. We love the neighborhood and proximity to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone searching.

We stayed a week at Kerri’s place in Virginia. She went above and beyond our expectations, very communicative and organized. She offered a ton of information and insights before and during our stay. Her place offers a delightful and relaxing getaway experience. The resort's picturesque location by the ocean provides stunning views and a serene atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable, ensuring a pleasant stay. The resort amenities such as the pool, spa, and on-site restaurants add to the overall wonderful experience. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and dedicated to providing top-notch service to guests. Whether you're looking to relax by the beach or explore the nearby attractions, Boardwalk Resort is a fantastic choice for a vacation in Virginia. I would definitely recommend and revisit Kerri’s place.

This was perfect for my family of four and dog. We stayed two nights and would have loved to been able to stay longer. Ron was an excellent host. This felt like a private spa trip with the massive pool, hot tub, dry sauna, and steam room. We are local to the area and would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home, super clean, comfortable beds, plenty of extras like soap, garbage bags, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, towels, cookware, seasonings ect. Kati was an awesome host and was very attentive and responsive. The pool was fabulous and we spent a lot of time there. We wish check out was a little later and suggest doing extras as if it were your own such as throw in some towels, make sure the beds and pillowcases are stripped, take out the trash, run the dishwasher and just leave it as much as you can as it was when you arrived. We loved this place and will certainly use Kati again. She is a super host for sure!! Thank you Kati!

Sue’s house was perfect for our family of 10! A 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach. A fabulous pool for all of us to enjoy. A lovely decorated home with plenty of bedrooms and new bathrooms. Loved the outdoor showers. Well equipped kitchen for all our meals. And a porch to watch magnificent sunsets at night! Sue was quick to answer all my questions.

Great place. For its size and value, it literally has a ton of great features . The theatre room is amazing, especially with having kids. Has a beach volleyball court! The arcade has thousands of games and brought me back 25 years (Pac-Man, Mario, Galaga, Street Fighter, and 1,000’s more). We went when it typically would not be considered swimming weather, however, we had the option to have the pool heated at least a day or so before arriving and it made a huge difference and allowed for my girls and I to swim in early April (and I did jump in the ocean to compare and it was a 25-30 degree difference! Lol). The owner is very quick to respond, has the instructions available prior to arrival, recommendations for food, churches, , and activities. If you don’t mind a 3-5 minute stroll to the beach, it is honestly not that far away. Walmart, Target, Grocery stores, putt putt, dunes, Wings, fishing pier, are very close by. The aquarium was a 20 min drive but was worth it. Fun experience.

It’s a great location and was the perfect size for my friends and I. We loved having a pool table and access to the pool. Everything was super nice and well taken care of and they have the SuperHost title for a reason. 10/10 experience all around
