Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn

Even though NYC has a law stating all Air BNB hosts need to be on premises--which could probably be awkward in other parts of NYC in an apartment setting--this is a large, historical home with a great deal of space and seperate areas for guests. It was very clean. The bathroom for guests has a claw foot tub, beautiful tilework, and a very spacious walk in shower. Laura is super cool and nice and obviously has spent some time on this property. I planned on using it as a place to stay when I wasn't out wandering the city and it was perfectly ideal for that. Finding a hotel in NYC that would have as much space and privacy would be difficult.

This is a comfortable, well-equipped 2-bedroom apartment. It’s not far from the Grand Army Plaza subway stop, which makes it quite easy to get into Manhattan as well as around Brooklyn. Lovely street and neighborhood. The frontroom has one double-bed so it might not be the right layout for a group or family, say, but it worked for me. And there is a private bedroom with a double-bed as well. The small bathroom also might not work for a group of 3 or 4, but was fine for me. I appreciated the responsiveness of Asha’s manager. Everything was done with care.

Roberto was kind and communicative. The place was perfect for a weekend in Brooklyn.

Jessica’s place was a great fit for our little family! We especially appreciated that they had a packnplay and blackout curtains in the bedroom so our little one could nap with ease. Definitely agree with others that despite being by Barclays, it was quiet and cute in their block!

Easy and near to subway lot of shops nearby

Excellent home in a fabulous neighborhood! Sara was incredibly responsive and friendly throughout our stay. There wasn't any air-conditioning to ease the heat of the really hot days, but the location and cleanliness of the unit was worth the steamy moments. Also - it is very easy to find parking on this street! What an unexpected surprise!

Had a fantastic stay at Michael's place. Michael was great with check-in and out, flexible with times and even helped us with our luggage. He provided a really handy sheet of local recs which we made great use of. Michael's place is a beautiful period house in Brooklyn with walkable access to the Q train to Manhattan or Coney Island and a short walk from Prospect Park. The apartment is on one private floor with its own balcony space. The apartment is beautifully decorated and includes more amenities than you could need. There is one very spacious double bedroom with an en-suite toilet, and a sofa bed in the back half of the lounge which converts to a second bedroom. Huge kitchen with excellent cooking facilities and a beautiful bathroom with a walk-in shower and period features.

Carla's place was beautiful, bright, spotless and felt very peaceful. It was a wonderful place to come back to at the end of busy days and evenings. I had the pleasure of meeting Carla a couple of times outside as we were coming and going. She is very warm and friendly. I didn't need anything during my stay but I appreciated how she made me feel that she would be easy to reach out to if I needed her. Carla's communicated quickly from start to finish. I will look forward to returning to Carla's place on my next visit to Brooklyn!

I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The space was spotless, stylish, and exactly as described. The host was incredibly responsive, welcoming, and made sure everything was smooth from check-in to checkout. The neighborhood was peaceful, and I felt completely at home. I’d definitely stay here again highly recommended to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and great hospitality!

Cathy’s place is in a great location. I was visiting my daughter and her family and it was walkable and I felt safe at night. Many wonderful restaurants and bakeries in the area. The back patio is lovely. I’m a light sleeper so the subway noise was a problem…. bring a noise-canceling device if you have the same issue. Other than that, I highly recommend.

I loved my stay at Jamal’s. The apartment was spacious, classy, and comfortable — a pleasing mix of vintage charm and modern convenience. There was plenty to explore in the neighborhood including a second-hand bookstore, park, and gourmet herb and spice market. I highly recommend Macosa Trattoria on Tompkins Ave for its fresh Italian fare and cozy, no-fuss vibe. Convenient access to DUMBO and Manhattan via subway a short walk from apartment. Jamal and Davis were responsive and helpful. I’d definitely stay again.

Classic, classy parlor flat in a lovely (but not hyper-gentrified) brownstone neighborhood. Easy access to Brooklyn Botanical Garden, subway, and abundance of nearby eating/drinking options. Comfortable bed, great natural light, and great overall vibes. Hosts are welcoming and communicative.

This place is hands down, one of the best Airbnbs that I’ve ever stayed in. The apartment was easy to find and looked just like the pictures. The unit is ground level however it is very quiet and you feel very safe. Everything was spotless and you can tell that Elgha takes great care of her property. Elgha is extremely responsive and very friendly. I highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to come back.

Vanessa was responsive and kind. Jersey City has a nice laid-back vibe and is super close via train to New York City. This is a great place, clean and modern, and located very near the center of town. Plenty of windows and natural light with blinds for privacy, although some of them were perhaps not operating perfectly. It’s a three floor walk up so maybe not great for anyone with mobility issues, but we enjoyed the extra exercise. It’s a residential neighborhood, but as a light sleeper, I always travel with earplugs, and I definitely needed to use them here just for vehicle traffic and the occasional loud passer by. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The bed is quite comfortable, but more of a double than a queen, not atypical for urban areas. I am really used to that when it comes to Airbnb stays. If you feel too cramped, you can always send your partner out to the comfortable couch. Check out the Archer, Ani Ramen and Wurstbar.

Brian's place was exactly as described, and a perfect home base for our family of 3. Very clean, comfortable, and in a wonderful part of Brooklyn. Felt at home -- we would stay again!

Great place to stay, location is good and this studio is really nice. The space is larger than I expected and really comfortable. The gym and the rooftops space are also plus . It is managed by a professional team and they respond fast to my request. I would stay here again if I come to Jersey city again.

Amazing spot in BedStuy! The apartment is on a lovely, quiet street that is very close to transportation. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay while visiting family. As I grew up in the area I know my way around, but easy to get around for anyone! The bay is a beautiful site when you walk up the block. There are many places to visit in walking distance as well as plenty of transportation choices withing walking distance. Plenty of places to eat as well, with many different choices of food. Nice private quite apartment, I will be staying again in the Fall.

This BnB was awesome! My husband and I visited from out of state for an event and this place was in a perfect location. A short walk from Liberty State Park, it was exactly as described. The place itself was beautiful, and the bed was so comfortable. We would absolutely stay again! (:

There was a lovely welcome package with a note, cookies and water awaiting us. They texted through Airbnb to make sure our stay was going well and we didn't need anything. Staying here was honestly such a dream! I felt right at home the second I stepped in. The place was comfortable, clean and super spacious! Such a wonderful stay will definitely come again! Anthony was an amazing host with fantastic communication.

Our family of 4 stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to the path in 5 min to connect to the NYC subways. On the walk, you pass multiple cafes and coffee shops. Great craft beer and wine shop on the corner. Pizza shop, Basile’s, right next to the PATH is perfect for a late night snack. The beds were comfortable, and even though there was some street noise heard at night, a sound machine was provided to help lull you to sleep. The only thing you have to be aware of is the unit is located on the 2nd floor, and you have to go up a narrow set of stairs which can be hard with multiple suitcases. Other than that, a comfortable and convenient place to stay with everything within walking distance!

We had a great time in the apartment, it was clean and everything we needed was there. Just like in the description. Comfortable bed and couch, great appliances, nice bathroom and everything was in good condition. Really close to public transportation and many restaurants. The ac was great after a hot and busy das in the city, it felt like coming home every evening. Thanks!

Great apartment in a nice area of Hoboken. We used this as a base for our trip to New York so did not spend much time at the place but the location is great, you are close to the station (10-15 minute walk) which takes you to Manhattan Midtown or the Financial District at World Trade Centre. The area in Hoboken is also very nice, you are nearby the Hoboken waterfront which offers great views of Manhattan and an opportunity to slow down from fast pace of Manhattan. Further you are next to Washington Street, which has lots of restaurants and bars, we particularly enjoyed starting the day with Bagels on the Hudson. The apartment itself is spacious, clean and had everything we needed. AJ was always quick to respond for any questions we had. Overall, would recommend.
