Cottage holiday rentals in Chalonnes-sur-Loire

Christophe was an extremely pleasant host and very proactive in all his responses. He far exceeded the needs of a host and was always nice to deal with. He gave us ideas on the local area and help around the proerty. We would thoroughly recommend this gite as a place to stay for a relaxing break.

We had booked the cottage for a week with friends and we were not disappointed. The services offered (e.g. pool table, hot tub, etc.) made the experience enjoyable. The owners were friendly, available, and flexible. Nothing to complain about, I recommend!

Awesome clean home. Quiet environment and supermarket a 5-minute walk away. Accommodation particularly suitable for young children.

We had an absolutely perfect stay at Virginie's! Everything was there to make us feel good: a warm welcome, smooth communication, and above all an impeccable accommodation, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. Virginie was very attentive, available while remaining discreet – an exemplary host! The place is quiet, very clean, and perfectly in line with the listing. We loved our time at Orchard cottage. Emma and Tim went above and beyond to welcome us, offer tips on good locations amd even offered to run us up to a local wine tasting. We were able to enjoy some "down time" relaxing in the beautiful garden, using the pool and reading in the hammock. And we also visited 4 local chateaux. We particularly enjoyed our day in Saumur. I highly recommend this venue for a fabulous experience of rural countryside and visits to some of the beautiful chateaux that the Loire region has to offer.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Maison de la Louet! The many authentic details breathe history and ambience into the house. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided (e.g. oven, dish washer, etc.). The owner is very welcoming and friendly. The river Louet is really close and offers many forms of relaxation like walking/ hiking and swimming. Also the towns of Denée and Murs are within easy distance for everyday trips to the bakery and supermarket. Angers is close if you feel like shopping or a broader range of entertainment. Absolutely perfect! Our favorite out of many French Air BnB’s.

Very good welcome even if the key was in a key box, the renter wanted to welcome us in person. Housing that matched the descriptions as well as our expectations.

The accommodation is very pleasant, a beautiful renovation with pretty old doors and a favorite for the tiles of the bathrooms. The two suites are comfortable, the bedding quality.

A stopover allowed us to discover Vincent's place for 1 night. Self check-in with all the necessary information, responsive host. Spacious, pleasant and very well equipped accommodation... A beautiful discovery that could make us come back to the area.

Beautiful location! We stayed in Lavender Cottage which has a private entrance and sunny garden with table, chairs and sun loungers. We took advantage of Susan’s first night meal and breakfast in the morning which made for an easy and stress free arrival and was excellent. We had a fun day out with Martin and 2 other couples wine tasting, we went to 3 very different wineries and enjoyed a 3 course meal which was also included. Susan and Martin are a fountain of knowledge concerning where to visit and eat which was really helpful and made our days out a lot easier to plan. The pool is a lovely place to cool off after a busy days sightseeing and there are also pretty shared gardens with BBQs where you can chill out and eat if you want to. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and nothing was too much trouble to make our stay special. It is very rural so a car is essential, but if you want a truly French experience would highly recommend! Thank you Susan & Martin for a memorable holiday!

Beautiful stay on a lovely farm! we slept there for only one night before moving onto puy de fou but we felt right at home. Everything was clean, Sophie was very welcoming and we had a pleasant stay in the middle of nature, there’s enough space for kids to run around and explore. There’s two things that left a very slight bad aftertaste. We came early for the pool but because the pool is connected to another room we only had acces to it until 19h. With some negotiating we stayed a bit longer, luckily our fellow visitors were very welcoming. And at the very start, Sophie changed the price, she added a fair bit. Mistakes are always possible so this isn’t a real remark. We had a lot of fun either way, thanks for opening your house to us, Joppe

Very clean accommodation, perfectly in line with the description and photos, very functional and convenient. Quiet and very warm welcome from the owners. Highly recommend if you are traveling with a small dog because the courtyard is very well fenced. We treasure contact information for a future trip. Thank you for everything.

We had a lovely time at Nicolas's, the house is perfect for a family of up to 5 people, the accommodation is very well equipped and the kitchen is very functional, the garden is very quiet, we were able to play basketball with the children, they were delighted. Nicolas is very responsive and was very accommodating for a last-minute rental, I highly recommend it.

We had a lovely stay at Bumblebee Manor! Sue and Martin are very welcoming and make you feel completely at home. The accommodation is very cosy and has a nice bed and the garden is a great place to have a drink and relax. 10/10 can recommend and would visit again! PS Martin also offers a great wine tour in the region, do book it when you have the chance! We tasted (and bought) some really nice wines and Martin thaught us a lot during the trip.

We had a great time at Armelle's place... The place invites you to tranquility and it's a great place to stay... The outside is beautiful, the house warm... everything is there! Coming for a floral contest at Château de Brissac, this house was a haven of peace to recharge our batteries...
