House holiday rentals in Chartham

This is the second time we have stayed at Corrina’s holiday home and once again we found it to be squeaky clean, very well equipped, peaceful and a great location. The garden is home to a family of foxes, who were so confident, that they sunbathed on the lawn whilst we were sitting on the veranda. Corrina made us aware of check in details in very good time and left a number just in case we needed assistance, which I’m happy to say we didn’t need. The surrounding area is so lush and green, this time of year, and there is always plenty of interesting things to do nearby. We will visit again next year, but hopefully for longer this time. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay here, Nick was an excellent host, greeted us on arrival and very helpful with local info. Nick responded almost immediately to messages and had the pool ready for us to use as and when we requested. The kids had so much fun in the pool, the floats and toys left out to use were an added bonus! House was spotless and perfectly equipped. Would definitely Recommend and would happily return. We had a fantastic time at Dormestone House. It is an amazing property with so much space so perfect for visiting with family or friends. It was the perfect place to celebrate Christmas. Would love to go in summer when we could use all of the facilities.

We absolutely loved our stay and will be booking again. The space was clean, warm and very spacious up and downstairs. The design and decor was on another level. We couldn’t get over the beautiful chandelier. We were greeted with fruits and milk on arrival in the large kitchen. Ahead of our journey we were given clear directions to the property. Access was easy and there were clear instructions for the sauna, pool etc. We used the sauna daily. It’s was huge and looked brand new. We were be able to watch the kids swim in the pool from the sauna. The kids absolutely loved the pool and took every opportunity day and night to swim. It really was a bonus to have our own pool. 5 of us stayed for a week and there was enough space in the fridge and freezer for all of our food. I have already recommended the space to my friends.

Absolutely lovely place to spend a night - from feeding the fish to a quick round of pool, and of course the brilliant facilities on the patio, which couldn't be simpler to use thanks to the helpful instructions. Everything is set up to provide optimum convenience and a warm welcome (like the plentiful fire/BBQ supplies and the eggs and marmalade from Jane's hens, which were both fantastic, so kind!) Jane herself is a wonderful host, and my partner and I highly recommend this listing. Thank you!

I stayed for my 30th birthday celebrations and had the best time ever. This place was perfect! the decor, the location, the surroundings and most importantly Karen and her husband was so friendly and lovely and ensured I had a special birthday. I’ve stayed at Airbnb’s before and I’ve never had a host as lovely as Karen was, the perfect host we could have wish for. The swimming pool was amazing and me and my family had a wonderful time enjoying it in the sun with a BBQ. The cottage was spotless and a welcome hamper was provided and every little detail was perfect. The garden area was beautiful through out the day and so peaceful and relaxing. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough, it was truly perfect and I will definitely be staying again and recommending to everyone I know! Thank you again for making it such a special birthday x

This was our second visit to the Lighthouse and it still is an amazing place, from the panoramic sea views to a lovely warm inviting home. A dip in the pool before breakfast, sitting with a coffee watching the seascape, as far as Essex and beyond, sunsets and so much more. I will make the same comment as I did last, this goes for the whole of our party across 3 generations and the dogs, the only bad thing about the Lighthouse is having to leave. Hopefully this will not be our last visit.

This house has absolutely everything you could ever want or need. Swimming pool is great and heated to a perfect temp for the kids. House is enormous and every little thing seems to have been thought of by the hosts including extras such as dressing gowns for all guests, soap, shampoo and a hairdryer in every room. Location is right on the coast with great views out the front of the sea. Garden is lovely. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks Alan and Bill

Our large family loved staying at Euan’s place! My kids loved the locations—they could go get food themselves. Super easy to get what you need with a butcher, baker, grocers (and prob a candle stick maker) close. Great place to have as home base in Kent with train and bus so close. And the city gate is right there! We enjoyed Canterbury a lot.

The Lodge is an amazing place to spend time with family and friends if you really need a break from everything. The area is peaceful and nice for long walks. The house is clean and well equiped and has something for everyone (hot tub, games room, bbq). The garden is big and the kids can enjoy running around while the adults enjoy a drink or two. Also, the house is very big and the rooms are spacious. It's a home from home and we had an incredible time. The hosts were very polite and responsive. There are two local stores one in Barham and one in Elham for essentials but if you want to just relax, bring your shopping (there are three fridges and loads of storage space). I wholeheartedly reccommend the Lodge, our extended family of 8 had an unforgettable time there. Thank you Patrick and Jane for hosting us!

Great cottage with private parking, which is very rare and Canterbury. It was a lovely well appointed place to stay and easy to walk to everything. The host was very responsive and very helpful with recommendations of things to do. I would highly recommend this cottage and this host. We truly appreciated the handwritten welcome card and the lovely cookies they left for us.

What a find. Wonderful helpful and friendly family. We didn't have any issues with anything relating to this location. Clean well equipped and spacious property. Quiet location within walking distance of the local pub. Park and ride to Canterbury within five miles and cost £4. for the two of us. Location was perfect for us. We would definitely choose to stay with Emily and Simon again when we are next in Kent.

The House was perfect for a relaxing weekend of family time. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with all the equipment we needed for a large family that enjoys cooking, eating, and drinking well. We felt right at home and had a very special, relaxing and fun few days.

The most wonderful place to stay! Whitstable is the most wonderful place for a trip or holiday and the house is deservedly iconic. Perfectly situated directly on the beach, spacious with beautiful wrap around gardens, it was the most wonderful holiday spot. Katrina and Rupert were wonderful hosts, friendly, accommodating and informative. The house has everything you could want for the perfect, comfortable stay for a family or group. We cannot wait to return already!

We really enjoyed staying at Amy’s place. The cottage is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Amy was a helpful and responsive host. The location is superb, our first time in Rye but we will be back. We particularly enjoyed brunch at The Fig and dinner at The Union in Rye and The George Hotel has a lovely courtyard for drinks. I have stayed in AirBnBs all around the world, and this one was my favorite! Perfect location, very nice interior and bedding, adorable patio, and personable hosts. Highly recommended!

It’s hard to know where to start… this was such a wonderful place to stay. Myself and my family go away together each year and this was the first year with two little children in tow! And it was perfect. The house was incredibly spacious, so many bedrooms and bathrooms to choose from which made it so convenient with 6 adults and 2 children. There was so much room to socialise and play and the selection of toys was incredible. We needn’t have brought anything with us! Tania had very kindly sourced an extra highchair for us and put up stair gates which was incredibly kind and helpful. The garden is fabulous and we utilised all the different garden games as well as the BBQ. It was so quiet which meant we all got a peaceful night’s sleep, and that went for inside the house as well so the adults could socialise downstairs whilst the children slept without worrying about them being able to hear us. All the amenities were fantastic and I would love to stay here again and 100% recommend.

Wonderful cottage, great location near the nature reserve. Really comfy beds and wonderful hosts who looked after us with welcome milk/bread and all the baby cot and highchair set up for our arrival. We’ll come back for sure!

I had a great stay at Kelly's house and in fact extended by an extra two days!! Very comfortable house and very warm which was handy as the weather was very cold!! All the furniture was comfortable especially the bed and I slept really well I would definitely stay here again when I am next in the area!!

The house was a real home from home, beautifully laid out and very well equipped and comfortable, had everything needed or a multigenerational family. Everything was so well thought out. Our only issue was that the knife draw was blocked shut (apparently during a previous let) and wasn’t fixed before we arrived. Thankfully local family came visiting and brought a knife for us to carve the roast with🤣🤪)crisis averted.. Very comfortable beds and plenty of towels etc…. Thoughtful extras like bread, wine, eggs, toiletries, use of teas & coffees etc if needed. Wonderful place and a fantastic stay was had by all. Would def. Recommend and would be very happy to come again.
