This was our second time at this beautiful cabin, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered! Every moment was enjoyable, from the peaceful surroundings to the well-equipped space that had everything we needed. The hot tub was a highlight—perfect for unwinding while taking in the gorgeous scenery. The location is quiet and calm, making it the ideal getaway from the city. We truly appreciate the attention to detail and can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend!

My wife and I had a fantastic two-night stay at this property. The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as shown in the photos. It had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable getaway. Nancy and Catherine were wonderful hosts—kind, welcoming, and responsive from the start. They made sure we felt at home and were always available to answer any questions. Their warm hospitality really added a personal touch to the stay, and we truly appreciated how easy they made the whole process. We rented the Manoir as a large group of friends (8) who were in the area for an adventure race. What a fantastic spot! Enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. The large kitchen/dining/living area was perfect and we never felt cramped. Highly recommend!

An incredible getaway—thoughtfully curated and beautifully designed. Every detail of these cabins feels intentional and well-considered, from the architecture to the cozy interiors. It’s a peaceful retreat that perfectly balances comfort and nature. We loved relaxing in the hot tub under the stars, grilling on the BBQ, and exploring the nearby trails during the day. There’s no shortage of things to do in and around the property—whether you're after adventure or just want to unwind. I can’t wait to come back!

The cottage was as described. There was plenty of equipment at our disposal whether indoors (kitchen) or outdoors (pedal boat, inflatable boat, paddleboard, etc.). The lake view is superb! The hosts responded quickly to all our questions and made sure we didn't miss anything. Very nice stay.

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay. Two of us and a dog went up to Pakenham for the new year and I can think of a better way to have done it. Unfortunately everything was closed for the week so we didn’t get to experience the brewery, but maybe next time! Everything was great. Clean, beautiful scenery and the creek going by the fire pit was serene. We’ve been to similar bunkies in the past and we actually found this one to be quite spacious. Only things I’d change: We knew going in that there would be no running water for the winter, but a shower would have been ideal - but again clearly mentioned that it would not be available. Using the washroom also wasn’t ideal as the smell could stick around. As long as the door was closed it was fine, however. I will be recommending this place to friends and family.

We had a great time! Cabin was just as described and very clean, outhouse was also really well maintained. There was lots of wood for the campfire and their dock had everything you would need for a fun day on the water. Thank you!

We had a great weekend at the cottage! It was clean and had everything we needed. Eric was clear with instructions and easy to get in touch with. Just know that you’ll have no service all weekend but there is fast and reliable wifi.

Pretty view of the Rideau River. Quiet spot to relax, take a stroll around the neighborhood. The kitchen had everything that was needed to cook. Comfy bed with a great view.

This cabin was exactly what I needed—a peaceful escape from the city without feeling too remote. It’s exceptionally clean with a beautiful aesthetic, and you can tell the hosts put a lot of thought into every detail to make it feel like home. Surrounded by forest, the setting is truly special—quiet, grounding, and unique. I felt safe, cozy, and cared for throughout my stay. Highly recommend for anyone needing a restorative retreat.

Jan Properties was great at giving clear instructions on where to go and a seamless check in. I was arriving in the evening and Jan was able to accommodate such a late arrival. The cabin was very clean and supplied the nessisities in the kitchen and bathroom. I was presently surprised that they supplied coffee, sugar and clean drinking water. Bathroom amenities was also supplied. The barbecue/stove was a great addition as I was able to cook for myself while I was there for a week. The bed was the second best part of my stay as it was very comfortable with clean sheets. I fell asleep very fast. But the best part, was the view from the cabin of the Lake. Three steps away and you get a clear view of a beautiful sunset every night. There was a lot more I could say about how cute and comfortable this cabin was, including the excellent WiFi. Will be staying again 100%.

This was the second stay at this cabin, lovely setting with all the amenities needed as well as prompt communication. I would recommend this cabin for those who like a restful stay in a quiet place. Loved watching the ducks and geese on the lake!

This is the fifth time staying at the property! We love the location, less than an hour from Ottawa, and simple directions off hwy 7. Just beautiful looking out over the lake from the property. Highly recommended, especially to quickly escape the rat race in the city. Hosts very friendly and accommodating. Will go back

It was perfect and definitly will go back

I recently had the pleasure of staying in a truly beautiful yurt, and it was one of the most memorable and relaxing experiences I’ve had in a long time. The yurt itself was stunning — thoughtfully designed, clean, and incredibly cozy. Surrounded by nature, it offered the perfect balance of comfort and rustic charm. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease. What really made the stay exceptional, though, was the owner. I ran into a minor issue during my trip, and they went above and beyond to help resolve it quickly and graciously. Their kindness and attentiveness genuinely made me feel cared for and welcome — it’s rare to find that level of hospitality. I’d absolutely go back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this yurt to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-kept, and beautifully managed retreat. Five stars all around.

Michel and Hélène were very nice and welcoming, and they responded quickly to our questions. We rented their cottage for our wedding and the place was even better than expected, especially since there was an arch where we celebrated the ceremony and we hadn't seen it in the photos, so it was a pleasant surprise! The hosts even met us before our stay to show us around the site. They also lent us several pieces of furniture and decorations, which was greatly appreciated. In short, we enjoyed our stay immensely and highly recommend choosing Michel and Hélène as hosts!
