Holiday rentals with beach access in City of Colchester

Beautiful apartment and well thought out. Shared garden space is huge and again beautifully designed and well thought out and importantly for us secure. Our doggies loved it too. So near to the beach we could swim and dry off back at the apartment. A short walk and you have all the great bars and restaurants Mersea offers. Kelly is a great host ,very responsive and accommodating.

We had a very good stay here. Good facilities and lots to do.

The apartment is lovely - the beds are comfortable, it feels spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. It’s in a great location and has a beautiful view of the Estuary which really made the stay special. Trevor was very helpful, the welcome information gave us everything we needed to know and there was a kind touch of leaving biscuits and milk for us when we arrived, along with there being coffee and tea, etc available. A super Airbnb, would highly recommend and I’m sure we’ll be back. Many thanks Trevor!

Excellent stay at Judith's apartment. I've stayed on a number of occasions and the apartment is always presented in immaculate condition. Central location is very beneficial. Guaranteed I'll be returning.

A gem of an appartement in a great location despite the fact that the glorious past of the building is, well... in the past! The appartement is light and well appointed and has fascinating views of the industrial port and the town below.

Stayed in this lovely loft for a few days on a trip to Southend. Felt very homely and had everything we could have needed. Great that the tv was all set up with the apps and easy to watch all the streaming services, and games and books available if we fancied a night in. Cupboard was stocked with essentials for cooking and the coffee and biscuits were a nice touch. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Robert and Lorraine's house. The flat is right opposite the beach which is amazing. The flat was very clean. Beds were comfortable. There were plenty of clean towels which was very handy. overall a very positive experience.

We had a lovely stay. Small but spacious if that makes sense. We loved the view from the living room and the walk around the area as it was just so close to the sea. All the needed equipment were provided, the apartment was aesthetically decorated. We will definitly go back if we are heading that way. And the hosts were very responsive and was quick to answer queries and help out. Great stay!

We absolutely loved this home and would love to stay again! It was immaculately clean, well equipped, and has a fab garden, which we were able to use a lot due to the gorgeous weather. Close to shops, great cafes and the beach. Really quick and helpful responses from hosts. We really appreciated the lovely welcome gift and the bucket and spade got a lot of use - thank you! We will definitely recommend to friends and family and will be back.

Ria's 'wedge' house was great place for a stay in Southend. Right next to the beach and amusements with a fantastic icecream parlour at the end of the road. The house was spotless, cosy and a lovely quirky shape. Ria was also really helpful and easy to reach.

A lovely place to stay and a friendly and helpful host. We felt very welcome and the place was very well kitted out for a family holiday by the sea. Would love to come back another time.

Comfortable home in peaceful location but near to the beach, very pet friendly. Mersea island is a lovely location. Plenty of lovely pubs within 10min walking distance. Mel is a fantastic host, very friendly and goes out of her way to make your holiday special.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home. From the moment we arrived, it felt incredibly welcoming, with a peaceful vibe that flowed throughout the house and its lovely decor. The garden was a standout feature which was beautifully designed, filled with the scent of blooming flowers, and offering a relaxing view in every direction. It was the perfect place to unwind. The house was also fantastic for my daughter and our dog, with plenty of space both inside and out for them to enjoy and feel at home. The bathroom was great too - it was spotless and stylish, with thoughtful touches like a soothing pillow spray and wonderfully fresh-smelling towels that made it feel like a boutique stay. Overall, this home was the perfect retreat for our little family. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed and already planning a return visit. Highly recommend.

3friends stayed in the house as going to a party at the golf club which was very near. It was all very nice and Kay was most helpful. We were close to the beach and all very nice and thank you Kay. Would highly recommend this property. Lin.

We had a lively stay at Helen's, the garden is huge and is fenced (which was handy with a toddler), it has a playground and a small house for kids that our daughter loved. It also has a direct access to a field with two horses that were happy to be pet. The house itself is very large, clean, with a play room and lot of books and boardgames, and a very well equipped kitchen. We felt instantly at home. Helen even gave us spices we had forgotten and needed ro cook a dish. And of course, there was the jaccuzzi! It was the perfect gataway for a long week end. Would 100% recommend!

My family and I loved our stay. It was cozy, spacious and the best location. We visit Felixstowe every year from America to see my husband’s family and this was the perfect place and would love to be back next year. Our children especially loved being right in front of the playground and the beach. We highly recommend Ian’s place!

We stayed here for a couple of days whilst visiting family in Frinton. It was peaceful, extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean, well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Carole's garden was very lovely with a friendly dog running around. Carole herself was friendly, relaxed and helpful. Well situated for Frinton and surrounding area. Definitely recommended.

Had a great stay at Katy’s space. Everything was clean, comfortable and matched the description and we enjoyed the goodies Katy stocked the kitchen with to get us going! Great location - very close to everything we needed. If I was ever in Walton or Essex again would be happy to stay again. Communicating with Katy was very easy and she was happy to help with any questions!

I am a heavy travellers . I stayed so many places before. Hotels or flats. Aniesha’s flat is like a five star hotel suite! Very modern and stylish. The building is only 1.5years old. Very clean and the location is very convenient just in front of railway station and near supermarket and shopping center. Lots of restaurants nearby. It makes me feel like home. Thank you Aniesha! Aniesha is a very nice host. I already look forward to coming back again! Wish a merry Christmas and Happy new year.

I met what I wanted, peaceful clean with everything working and easy to get to.

Just returned from a lovely 2 nights at Michaels place. As others have said the location is great as it's on the high street and only a few minutes to the lovely Frinton beach. Check in was easy and there is parking at the rear of the downstairs shop. It was really hot and Michael arranged a fan to try to cool us down, he was available for any queries we had, Michael and his partner were really accommodating hosts. The studio was really clean and is very pared back and stylish, would recommend for a trip to Frinton and would try to get to the downstairs weekend bar next time .

Great place in prime location on the seafront . Place was bigger than expected and had everything you could need and more for a week’s stay . Really clean and tidy . Plenty of treats left for us and the dogs . Overall really happy with apartment and location . Will definitely stay again .

A great weekend away. The flat was exactly as described and had everything we could possibly need - including lots of little extras. Having air-con in both the living area and bedroom was perfect. Communication was excellent.
