What an amazing place to stay and relax. Dee & Billy gave us a warm welcome as well as Graham & Ted (the family dogs). Everything was exceptional, a beautifully restored cottage and clearly a labour of love, the attention to detail and the decor was fabulous. Only a 15 min drive into Kilkenny town centre this place has it all, so quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend and will definitely be back at some stage. Nestled in the beautiful Kilkenny countryside is Highbank Orchard. The singing of the birds and the peace and quiet make Rod and Julie’s farm a perfect escape to the country. I stayed with three girl pals for an evening of chatter by the fire. We had a fabulous time. The apartment was beautiful and well equipped. Lots of info for people staying longer so they can explore. We just wanted a girls night in and enjoyed it immensely. The beds were very comfortable and the little touches such as the shot of brandy on arrival was so generous. Top marks. I would imagine it’s also an ideal spot for a couple or family who plan on enjoying all Kilkenny has to offer but after a busy day sightseeing, it would be the right place to unwind and have a food night sleep. Nothing like waking up to the country air and hearing the birds chirping outside your window. Excellent value for money and plenty of space here with all modern amenities yet charm and old worldly feel to the site.

Mags made her place so welcoming and comfortable. There was plenty of room and the kitchen was so well equipped if you wanted to cook. She was there to greet you and to give information about many of the attractions in Kilkenny and recommendations on where to eat. It was in a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood just a short distance from town and we wouldn't hesitate to return if visiting the area again. Judy & Paul, Australia.

We had a wonderful stay! Andrea is a really friendly and attentive host and provided clear communication throughout our stay. The space itself was clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed. The location was calm and a 10 minute ride away from the city centre. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy accommodation.
