Holiday rentals with breakfast in Cumnor

Top marks all round. The house is large and ideal for our needs (a bunch of grey haired old school chums getting together to play board games, chat and drink wine for a weekend). Big kitchen, big lounge, decent bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, just across from a super country pub and in a picture postcard village. The house and kitchen is well equipped and it’s not pristine kitchen ware so you feel you can have fun cooking. All round it was great and we plan to return please.

I came from Vietnam. When Ursula knew that I would go to Cirencester from London by a coach and get to Aldsworth by bus or taxi, not by a private car as other inbound guests, she offered to pick me up at the coach station at Cirencester, 20 mins away from her house. And then when I left Aldsworth she also gave me a ride back to Cirencester coach station. She also prepared milk and fruit juice for me in the fridge and she brought me beautiful peony flowers cut from her garden. She noted down some nice places for me to visit and showed me around where I could get the bus to Bibury, where I could buy bread or enjoy some drink. I really appreciate all the help and care she gave. And i love the annex, where she must have been spending much time and enthusiasm to decorate it in a very nice and cozy style. We had a lovely 6 night stay at Strawtop Cottage 2. We were 4 adults and the accommodations were delightful. The beds were so comfortable. The cottage is beautifully styled and maintained to an impeccable standard. Every detail, from the tasteful decor to the comfortable furnishings, is first class. Josie and Charlie are wonderful hosts that go above and beyond. They welcomed us with generous local goodies that added a lovely personal touch. The amenities throughout are wonderful and the recommendations they gave us for places to visit and dine were on point. We highly recommend Strawtop Cottage to anyone looking for a wonderful experience at a charming cottage in a lovely village easily accessible to all that the Cotswolds has to offer. Thank you again Josie and Charlie for making our first trip to the Cotswolds absolutely perfect! We will be back!

Pleased with where we stayed, We stayed here while having a meal at Le Manoir Restaurant as its only 20 mins drive away. Comfortable and clean.

Julia’s place was a great place to stay for me and my dog. Such an amazing place and really peaceful which was exactly what I was hoping for. The place was fantastic and had anything you could want, Julia was on hand to help and made sure I had everything I needed to use the BBQ. Thanks for a great stay!

Fabulous location for walking the Ridgeway. It was very comfy and cosy, especially after a wet day walking. Everything dried really quickly. We had a great 2 nights there and found it difficult to leave.

Lovely studio apartment. Very well equipped and the addition of provisions on arrival was very much appreciated. The apartment was spotless and very well maintained. James was a great host - welcoming and responsive. And even picked us up from the station as it was such a hot day. We hope to return at some point and would definitely recommend.

had a truly lovely 2-night stay at Rachel’s place in the Cotswolds. From the moment I arrived, Rachel was incredibly welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home. The accommodation was spotless, beautifully maintained, and located in a charming village, an ideal spot for a peaceful getaway. Rachel went above and beyond by leaving fresh fruit and croissants for me, which was such a thoughtful touch and really appreciated. Everything was just as described (if not better), and I couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!

Tidy little flat in a great location within easy walking distance to Cowley road and central Oxford. It was perfect for our short stay in the city. Billy was very communicative and made things straightforward. Would stay again!

Host was very flexible regarding our check in time, as we was unable to provide an exact time of arrival until an hour before. The apartment was nice, clean and lovely and warm on arrival and the location was very peaceful Would have been nice to stay for longer than one night.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Burford at Gabi and Manfred’s beautiful, historic home. We felt Burdord is the perfect spot to stay while seeing other countryside towns/villages. Gabi serves a wonderful breakfast on a the patio (weather permitting) with a crackling fire for warmth and ambiance. The room has a wonderful view of the town, is both immaculate and private plus has a feel of “back-in-time”. You can walk to shops and restaurants within a minute. A truly unique and special experience. We hope to have a reason to visit again.

Christine was very hospitable, attentive and helpful :) she helped us make reservations at a local pub, she gave us a phone number for the local cab that helped us when we couldn’t find a ride to the train station, she greeted us and offered us tea and had non dairy milk which was awesome, her breakfast in the morning was delicious and I felt very comfortable and at home here. Beautiful garden that was nice to walk around. Cute town that is walkable and peaceful. I would stay here again everything was lovely.

It was a great stay. Super clean and cosy bedroom with lovely little touches. Very grateful for the hairdryer. Easy walk into town - would recommend going along the towpath by the river. Really nice hot shower too. Quiet and comfortable stay overall.

Hands down the nicest and most welcoming place I have ever stayed. I booked for my girlfriend’s birthday, just one night away in Burford. Michael’s photos sold the place for me, very well furnished and stylish. When we arrived we were not disappointed, we were welcomed in by Michael and he gave us a tour of the house and gardens which were like something from a magazine. Our room was wonderful, well furnished, well stocked with coffees, milk, chocolates, fresh fruit, the lot. There was nothing to complain about. We went out in Burford for dinner and some drinks and then back to the house to sleep. Breakfast was served between 8 and 9 where a full continental spread was on offer, fresh fruits, breads, smoked salmon, cured meats, the lot. Michael looked after us very well. We went for one last walk around the gardens and then checked out after a very enjoyable stay. We’ll be sure to come back again, thanks to Michael for welcoming us into his wonderful home

I couldn’t recommend Kathryn’s place more. She is an incredibly kind, generous and thoughtful host. The place is really beautiful and I felt so at home for 2.5 months.

Lovely stay at Walnut Tree Cottage. Fab location in a pretty village with a decent pub just a few steps away. Excellent breakfast supplies - Gilly and James are great hosts.

The Dovecote is unique and beautiful with a luxurious spa bath, the building was cool during the hot summer days & nights, we loved hearing the morning chorus of birds (we recorded over 20 species) the manicured country garden is colorful and full of wildlife, and the fresh baked breakfast pastries delivered in a cute wicker basket were a delight. The village of Bibury is a 5 minute walk and we drove to other pretty villages in under 30 minutes. Wendy provided exceptional recommendations for dinner and garden shopping. We are looking forward to returning to this magical place in the Cotswolds.

We were very impressed from beginning to end. Nothing was too much trouble. I'd asked for restaurant/pub recommendations before arriving, both we chose from David's suggestions were perfect and easy to find. The accommodation was lovely, comfortable bed and great shower. The full English breakfast each morning was delicious with lots of options to choose from. Cannot fault, if we're ever that way again we would definitely return to Glebe Farm. Thank you David & Mary
