Family-friendly holiday rentals in Davidson

We have not used AirBnB many times, but this one stands out as the best experience yet! What a lovely, clean, tidy, quaint, attractive, simple, elegant, and comfortable lakeside property this is. We enjoyed cooking meals, grilling, soaking in the hot tub, sunset cocktails on the dock. Planning to return in the future for another stay!

We had a lovely weekend getaway at the Tini House in Concord! The space is definitely tiny but so well distributed, every corner is thoughtfully used. The bed was super comfy, and little details like the rain boots and wood logs for the firepit made the experience extra special. The eco-shower was surprisingly refreshing and added to the charm of the place. It was incredibly peaceful and the perfect spot to disconnect. The only thing we weren’t crazy about was the shared eco-restroom, but overall, it was a wonderful stay. Thank you for the peaceful escape!

Not enough good things to say about my stay here! Location was excellent, house was nice, beds comfy, host responsive and helpful. Don’t over think the complaints about noise, it’s not bad at all and to be expected when you’re 5 minutes from a major city. Plenty of driveway but it’s a little narrow for larger vehicles, that being said there’s also off street parking right out front. Loved the place!

The house is amazing. Extremely well equipped. Amazing decks, docks etc. Great gas grill. Amazing lower level with bar and game room. All three bathrooms and showers are really nice, including outdoor shower. 😀 All of the wall hangings and niknacs are very nice and make it feel like a real home and not just a rental. I could go on and on but I only have so much space. Thanks for sharing your fabulous home. It made our sons wedding week very special!

Overall this was an amazing property to stay at. Shari was able to accommodate us for a last minute check in, I’m talking within hours. She was even able to get us a boat for our stay even with it being Fathers Day weekend. The house was very clean with clear and easy instructions for check in/check out procedures. I would definitely stay again in the future! Our only issue wasn’t about the property or host, rather the next door neighbors. They kept their 2 small dogs outside all day and through the evening. They were barking non stop and it was difficult to fall asleep or enjoy a peaceful time outside. It was noted that quiet time was after 10pm and the dogs were barking well past that. We had to file a noise complaint due to the excessive barking and we honestly felt bad for the dogs seeing that they were caged up outside. We are dog lovers as we have one of our own but the neighbors could have been a little more respectful.

The house was great and the beds were very comfortable. The backyard was peaceful, especially at night with the lights and the hot tub. We had our adult sons with us and we could not hear them moving around and watching TV while we were sleeping, the house is sound proof! I did have to sweep off the back patio furniture when we arrived, it didn't look like that had been done in a while, or it might have just been from a storm - no big deal, the broom was easy to find. The house is older, with a nice mid-century modern vibe - very cozy. I would stay there again.

The house was in a wonderful, more established neighborhood. It was close to the venue we were in town to attend. Even though the pool and hot tub were older, they were in good shape and we really enjoyed them. The kitchen was totally updated and very easy to maneuver. The bedrooms were nice, but the bathrooms were older and could use some updating, especially the one in the master bedroom. The checkout instructions could be updated - it referred to baskets in bedroom closets for used linens, towels, etc., but weren't there. The garbage was to be taken outside and put in a receptacle, but here wasn't one. There was a garbage receptacle in the garage. All in all, I think this would be a great place for anyone looking for a place to stay in Charlotte.

A group of my friends and I stayed here for a weekend. I am from the area originally and the location cannot be beat. It a gorgeous lakefront property and we rented a boat/captain for dinner on Friday to take us down the river to a waterfront restaurant. We heated the pool but ended up using the hot tub instead. The furnishings and house itself are not new or “modern” but it looked exactly as described/and in the photos, and the house is even bigger overall. For the price, this was a great deal. We spent our time hanging out in the kitchen which had enormous windows looking outside, and on the deck, and it was super comfortable for all 11 of us there. Robert was incredibly communicative and always available to answer questions. We wished we could move in! I’d definitely stay there again. Great for large groups.

Kathrine was amazing! There was a slight hiccup when checking in, which was not her fault, and she responded quickly and handled the issue immediately. The surroundings were peaceful and we loved staying there.

Wonderful and beautiful place to stay! Many wonderful amenities that make the place just that much better! Check-in was easy and fast with clear instructions. 10/10 would recommend staying here if you want to be in a beautiful neighborhood surrounded by wonderful places to eat and fun things to do!

The place was exactly what my family needed. I really appreciated the quality of the sheets and blankets in the rooms. Slept really well. kitchen and dining areas served our needs. Great, responsive host and comfortable, safe place to stay if you need to be close to the University. We would definitely stay again.

Private and just around the corner from the city. Host went above and beyond. Good choice to stay🙂

Great location. Laura is a great communicator and I should have paid more attention about the parking, but she handled it and I greatly appreciated it.

We rented this first floor condo unit for two weeks to be near our son and his family after the birth of their baby. It was perfectly located. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. It was clean and comfortable. The pool is a quick walk away and quite nice. There are close restaurants and stores. Lake Norman is a very short drive away, and there are lovely greenways easily accessible for walks. There is some noise from people walking upstairs at times, but it’s not excessive and to be expected in a first floor unit. It made a comfortable and affordable “home away from home” during our stay.

My family and I loved our stay at Erin's place. The house was nice and had a big fenced in backyard which was great for our dog. Erin was very responsive and gave clear instructions for check-in and check-out. The area is great and just a few minutes down the street from downtown Matthews. I highly recommend Erin's home to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area!

Very private, safe, and quiet. Could barely hear a thunderstorm which was great as our dog is scared. Rachel's communication is on point. She was very responsive and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay! The unit had anything you could possibly need. Was great not having to run to the store to get this or that as they already had everything available. Very clean!

We loved staying at Laurie’s home and had an incredible weekend. The space was perfect for our 20-person baby shower and the home was a cozy place to relax before and after. I was a little concerned if the A/C would be sufficient in an older home, but it worked great along with the updated appliances. You are about 12 minutes from town but feel like you’re miles away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This property is the perfect place to make special memories with loved ones and we hope to stay here again someday!

We loved our stay at the lake! The home was beautiful and had everything we needed for our large group to spend a few days here comfortably! The pool and the lake view was a huge bonus. We loved kayaking and paddleboaring as well. Very thankful that an abundance of life jackets in all sizes were available. The house was very clean and the neighbors were nice. What I also found interesting was the full size and unlimited supplies of things like soap, dish detergent, trash bags, paper towels, etc no starter kits here! Highly recommend!
