Kid-friendly holiday rentals in De Fryske Marren

We were four at Aukje (two adults, two children) and had a very nice time from the first moment! The house is very tastefully decorated and nothing is missing. The location as a terraced house with a view of the water is optimal. Playground, small shop/bakery, restaurant and boat rental are in the neighborhood. A place to feel good and come back!

We got excellent instructions from Steffen about check in, besides this house is nice, cosy, we got there everything what we need. I highly recommended that place to stay! Thank you!

This is our second time staying at this lovely cottage in Airling, which says a lot — we rarely return to the same place twice, but our first stay here was so wonderful that we just had to come back. The area is incredibly peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to truly relax and unwind. The cottage may be small, but it has absolutely everything you might need — every little thing is thoughtfully provided, and somehow, whatever you're looking for, you always find it right there. Evenings by the canal are absolutely priceless — calm, beautiful, and unforgettable. Thank you Gisela & Frank!

We had a great time in Sneek and the accommodation was just perfect for us. Plenty of space, everything you need was available and really tasteful and yet practical. The terrace and the whirlpool are special highlights and Petra spoiled us with small snacks and cold drinks on arrival. The location of the house is great, you can walk very quickly to the city center with many restaurants as well as the supermarket and yet it is quiet and we were able to sleep relaxed. We were also allowed to use the bicycles and took a small tour. All around beautiful!

Great apartment, very nicely decorated. It was not one of the usual very clean anonymous apartments, but simply a home.

Beautiful, home, tastefully decorated with modern bathrooms for each bedroom 1. Great beds and cool bedrooms despite the heat. Our granddaughter immediately borrowed a children's tractor to ride around the garden, which she loved. Very friendly, helpful (but certainly not intrusive) hostesses. And what a pleasure to be outside without the noise of car traffic. Really outside!! Gerard and Rikie, it was great, thank you. Keep it up, and many more people can enjoy your hospitality!!

We had a good stay in Susanna's apartment. The apartment is spacious and perfect for 6 people. The apartment was clean and clear. The center is about 15 minutes walking.

Very nice base to explore Sneek and its surroundings. Quiet neighborhood with a nice terrace and you are in the center in no time. The cottage was very clean and equipped with every comfort. Gea is a nice, friendly host. In short: recommended!

We had a wonderful time staying at Wietske's place! The apartment had everything we needed for ourselves and even things we'd forgotten about but ended up needing for our toddler (like a high chair)! The apartment is tastefully designed, everything feels modern and high-end, and the beds were super comfy. It is centrally located, right in the middle of the Midstraat and super walkable to everything, yet it is very quiet - we never heard anything from neighbors our outside. Wietske was very responsive and checked in on us a couple of time to ensure we had what we needed. She also notified us that there were games in the dresser in the kitchen, including lots of toys and puzzles that our son enjoyed. Thank you Wietske - we would happily stay at your place again! :)

We had great days in Lemmer. The apartment is clean and tidy and located right in the center! We will be happy to come back.

Jan-Warner's apartment in one word: magnificent! A bright, light-flooded, tasteful, modern, furnished apartment. Of course, everything was clean and functional. For example, we have never found such a well-equipped kitchen in a vacation apartment. The whole apartment is furnished with attention to detail. But the location is unbeatable! Directly on the Sneeker Meer, at the corner of Princess Margret Canal and Starter Eiland. And in the apartment or on the terrace, an unobstructed view of the colorful hustle and bustle of the sailing and motor boats, as well as the commercial shipping. Even in bad weather, it was never boring with this view. Beautiful tours through the Frisian villages and lakes are possible by bike in the immediate vicinity. It is just 15-20 minutes by bike to Sneek itself.

The place is very nice and clean. We were very pleased with everything. Above all, the dike and the lock are only a few steps away, as is the old town of Makkum. We will certainly be back.

We felt very comfortable in Hester's accommodation. She always responded immediately to inquiries, warmly welcomed us and gave us tips for our stay. The place is very idyllic and an ideal starting point for bike tours.

Jannie and Arnold were great hosts, Arnold met us when we drove in and showed us the house. They gave us tips for restaurants in the area and supplied is with everything we needed for our night stay. The place is beautiful and peaceful, 10 minutes drive from Groningen. Would recommend for a peaceful weekend away.

It was super nice. The accommodation is beautifully located with a unique view of the IJsselmeer. This also means constant fresh air, wind, and the sound of the water. We loved that. There is also a beach on the dike for swimming. Good beds, great kitchen and shower, nice living room to relax. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday is there. We have also thought of the dog. We'd love to come back.

Very nice accommodation. It was amazingly clean and it smelled good. Internet speed is ~200 Mbits, more than sufficient. Johanna was very friendly and was already waiting for us at the property. She always tried to make our stay as nice as possible. Beautiful quiet location. What should possibly be considered for the stay: The bedroom is open. There is no door or similar between the rest of the accommodation.

I had a wonderful stay! The host was polite, very responsive, and maintained great communication throughout. The location is excellent—close to everything I needed—and the apartment was spotless, well-organized, and incredibly comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home. I would definitely book again and highly recommend both the host and the apartment.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay in Lily’s place. Tastefully decorated in blue and white, new bathroom, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, good welcome and instruction leaflet in several languages, great balcony and view of the IJsselmeer and your own parking spot in the back. If you don’t have children I wouldn’t stay in this area during the school holidays as it will be busy and noisy. Now it was perfect, quiet and peaceful and would definetely recommend staying in this lovely apartment.

What an oasis! The small house is modern and lovingly furnished. The kitchen is flooded with light. It's nice that the heating also works on cool June days. In addition, a large covered terrace. And chickens run in the meadow. The location is wonderful: By car we were quickly in the beautiful towns of Medemblik, Enkhuizen and Hoorn. Cycling is fun. Björn is very nice and uncomplicated. He surprised us with delicious apple cake and we were allowed to try the farm's own honey. Great that we had time until 11 am to check out. We enjoyed it very much.

Jolanda's place was perfect for our 1 month stay. The patio was great for sunny breakfasts. Small town with everything you need. We made some great friends in town. Lively on weekends and quieter during the week. Centrally located to other fun towns. There is about a 10 min walk to the train station. Highly recommend this Airbnb and town.

Very nice hosts, accommodating and helpful. Great, clean room with balcony in which we felt very comfortable. Beautiful and interesting location. We can only recommend the place and the host.
