From here you can do all kinds of activities in Amsterdam and the rest of the Netherlands. The rural location means that you can completely relax here. It is a green oasis close to the city, with several idyllic villages and small towns around it. On the farm, it is a cozy place with cows, goats, pigs, ponies (in summer they fly:))

Metro station is just next to our appartement The closest metro & train station is “Reigersbos” which is just on half min walk. From there you can reach Amsterdam centre in 20 mins, Schiphol airport in 20 mins, RAI convention centre in 17 mins & AJAX stadium in 5 mins. We also have connectivity via late night buses.

Het Pauwen Huisje – near Amsterdam

On the outskirts of Amsterdam, where the city transitions into the rural area along the Gein River, lies the Pauwenhuisje. The Pauwenhuisje is housed in an old cattle barn over 300 years old, which has been completely renovated with a great deal of love and respect. The centuries-old wooden beams and sturdy details still make the history of this place palpable.

The B&B is located in the village of Abcoude, a charming village just outside Amsterdam and close to Utrecht. Thanks to its central location, venues such as AFAS Live, the Ziggo Dome, and the Johan Cruijff Arena are easily and quickly accessible. On our farm, where the B&Bs are situated, we have cows and sheep, and two lovely Frisian Stabij dogs roam around.
