Beach house holiday rentals in Donegal

Mary and Barry made us very welcome into their well appointed home, and gave us lots of helpful suggestions of places to visit and where to shop and eat out. The house was immaculate, with all the ameneties we needed. We had a lovely time in the area and would defiinitely recommend this house for a comfortable stay in this corner of Donegal.

Beautiful house. Great peaceful location with a wonderful secluded almost private beach. Centra and Petrol stations are only source of provisions locally apart from Donegal Town.

Dave’s place was absolutely lovely — clean, cozy, and incredibly welcoming. It truly felt like a home away from home. Every little detail was thoughtfully arranged, and the space had a warm, personal touch that made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Communication with Dave was easy and smooth; he was friendly, responsive, and genuinely hospitable. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended!

Jill and Alistair could not have been better hosts. From initial booking inquiry through checkout, they were incredibly helpful, responsive, friendly, and went the extra mile without any prompt. Directions to the stay were crystal clear, the property is immaculate, beautiful, private, and well located for the exploration of Finad and all of Donegal. Rathmullan is a wonderful town, and I can not recommend enough a stay with Jill, and Alistair, and especially their wonderful dogs. Alistair was extra helpful in navigating the area, providing recommendations, asking for feedback, and saving a few strokes up at Portsalon Golf Club. If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay well within reach of some of Ireland's most beautiful drives, landmarks, and scenery, this is the place to be. We have travelled quite a bit over the last few years, and this stay was the best we have experienced due to not only location, but the hospitality of Jill and Alistair. A review of 5 stars is too few.

Just spent an incredible week at this stunning Donegal gem, perfectly situated right beside the breathtaking Dooey Beach. The house itself is a dream – beautifully designed, impeccably clean, and with every comfort thoughtfully provided. Waking up to the sound of the waves and being able to stroll onto the beach in moments was pure bliss. A truly magical and restorative escape, and easily a 5-star experience!

We stayed at Pamela’s for my mum’s 70th birthday and it was a beautiful place to call home for our short stay! The house had everything we needed and the views were absolutely stunning. The nearby beach was also beautiful. Would highly recommend.

What an incredible place!! The location was perfect, short walk to the beach and stunning views of the ocean. Perfect for watching the sunset and it was so peaceful. Kathleen was very accommodating and the home was absolutely beautiful. It had a big back garden and plenty of space inside for larger families. A truly unique house in one of the most beautiful surroundings. It was magical. I can’t wait to rebook!

This place was gorgeous. Exactly as it looks in the pictures – clean, beautifully furnished, and comfortable. The location was perfect for us. Right by the sea with lots of lovely walks to take and many interesting nearby sites and locations to drive to. Highly recommend.

My family and I loved the house and the setting close to the beach! The house was lovely with all of the amenities we needed and just a few miles from Killybegs, where we ate dinner a few times. It's also in a great location close to the beautiful Sliabh Liag and other coastal locations.

We had a fabulous stay at The Cope, from the moment we arrived we felt at home (particularly with home made scones waiting for us)! The location is great, a short walk to the stunning beach at Narin/Portnoo but still feels very private. The joining instructions and all the local recommendations were also really helpful and meant we were able to keep all everyone (Including our dog) very happy with our stay.

I recently stayed at this incredible Airbnb and can’t recommend it enough! The views were absolutely breathtaking, with panoramic landscapes that felt like something out of a dream. The location was perfect, just a short drive to nearby towns with fantastic bars, restaurants, and stunning beaches. The home itself was spotless and beautifully maintained. If you're looking for a peaceful escape with easy access to everything, this is the place to be! We will 100% be booking again!

Aiden’s chalet was in a great location- just a few minutes drive from the Downings. He left lots of useful local information and instructions on how to work everything in the house. There was lots of space and everything was immaculate! We had a lovely time and would definitely stay again and recommend to friends!

This home is worth any price they ask! The magnificent view made us want to simply sit at the huge window and watch the days go by. But there were many other things to do in the area. Meeting the host was an enjoyable experience. Every possible convenience was available. The bedding was comfortable and exactly as described. We fully intend to go back again.

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights and the house was excellent. It was exactly as described and even more beautiful than the photographs! We will definitely return the next time we are in the area.

Perfect location for easy access to the promenade, the strand and everything in between. Gorgeous views, lovely period home which retains its character but is warm and homely. We really appreciated the clean linen, well kitted out kitchen, washer and dryer and big back garden. The living room is a standout - really comfy sofa and armchairs, beautiful bay window and fab views. Also very grateful for Sean’s support in accommodating our needs at the end of our stay. Would happily stay again.

My brother and myself were paying a visit to relatives who live in the area..we found Sheila’s air B&B to be very accommodating..very homely ..warm ..private ..as my brother described it to being like “ home from home “.accommodation was very clean and well equipped .We could not find fault at all . We met Sheila before departing and had a lovely friendly chat and discovered she knew our relatives . We would definitely use this accommodation again if it met our requirement dates .

We had a lovely May Bank Holiday weekend at Christine's place. Everything you need is in. Spacious living room with beautiful view, well equipped kitchen to prep meals for us and kids. Firepit outside to enjoy smores in the evening. House was clean and well prepared for group of 3 families with kids. Highly recommended!

Amazing few days in Donegal, I wanted to move in and keep that view for ever! Lovely house and plenty of space. So much to do in the area, we'll have to come back! Brilliant communication about location and check in etc, thanks for everything!

We had a lovely stay at Claire's place. We appericated our welcome basket and being able to check in a few hours early. The house is in a great location making everything in Portstewart walkable.
