Family-friendly holiday rentals in Doolin

Catherine’s accommodation is extremely homely and in beautiful surroundings. Not too close to the town but not too far either. Catherine is very friendly and welcoming and attentive to her guests. We enjoyed our stay from start to finish, we even stayed an extra night.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grattan Holiday Apartments, car parking out the back, spacious rooms, well-equipped kitchen and within walking distance to the beach, local pubs and restaurants. It's about a 20 minute walk into Galway city and taxi back is around €10. Highly recommend a stay here. Sean and Cathal are on hand if you need them and will recommend places to visit and eat

This was our second stay at Mark’s Eden Retreat Cottage. We stayed there last year and loved it so much we came again this year. The size was perfect for a small group of friends on a combined business and leisure trip. We love the spacious kitchen and especially the little fireplace. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful and just a short trip into town for supplied, pubs, busses, shopping, etc. Last year we used the hottub but this year it was out of service. Mark notified us in advance of this and compensated us for the inconvenience, which I appreciated very much.. Mark is a great communicator! Will stay again. Thank you!

A beautiful building lovingly restored in a great location if you like walks, beautiful countryside while still being near to towns and villages for a nice meal out. John was so helpful and friendly, it just started our break off on the right foot. Ps bring carrots for the donkeys in the paddock next door, the stars of the show

Idyllic spot for a restful holiday in unspoilt nature. Beautiful spacious home, stunning views from all windows, exceptionally confortable beds. Plenty of sofa space and cosy blankets for everyone. We enjoyed reading amd jigsaws by the fire, barbecue dinners on the decking, and relaxining in the jacuzzi in between passing showers. Enjoyed walking to the nearby lakes amd hills, and popping into Cong for afternoon tea and forest walk. Highly recommend this beautiful part of Ireland.

We were more than satisfied with the accommodation. We were greeted by horses and the extremely sweet little dog Minnie, and then by delicious scones in the apartment. The area is beautiful and we went on several day trips to Connemara National Park, Burren National Park, the Aran Islands/Cliffs of Moher and Galway. What's more, the area was just perfect for us and the children. My daughters loved feeding the horses and playing with Minnie the dog. Or, if it rains a little, there is additional room for playing, which is equipped with some toys, table tennis, etc. Maura responded quickly to minor problems and helped us out, and was generally very accommodating. If we ever visit Ireland again, we will definitely stop by here again.

A beautiful location and cottage, the wood burner makes it suitable for all weather conditions, and William was kind enough to restock the wood when we ran out. He also offered recommendations for walks and hikes

Pat and Mary Angela are marvellous hosts. When we arrived the fires were lit, the table was set and there were gorgeous scones made by Mary Angela. They are both so friendly and gave lots of recommendations of places to visit. Their lovely cottage is perfectly situated for exploring Galway. It is definitely a home from home. My husband and I along with our 3 adult children and 2 Jack Russells had a great time there and we had everything we needed. We also loved Pat and Mary Angela's cafe and bookshop in Oughterard Village. Well worth a visit. Couldn't recommend this cottage highly enough!

This house is a gem in the An Spiedal area. The house is super private and in a great location, pretty right on the water with view of Water and Aran islands from the kitchen. I had coffee just staring at the sights every morning. You can walk around there property or take a short walk to the beach front. This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway. The town has just enough stores and restaurants to get by and if needed, Galway is maybe 25 mins away. The hosts communicated well and gave clear instructions, read them all, will be useful on your stay. Whatever you need will be in the instructions they provide. Overall a great place to stay and relax. This was the third Airbnb we stayed in Ireland and by far the best in terms of location and scenery. Do visit Galway and also drive to Kylemore Abbey when you are here, both will not disappoint.

The accommodation is clean, spacious, bright and well-equipped, a separate building. It has a perfect sense of privacy and silence. Parking is inside the property, almost under the living room window. It was a pleasant surprise that the third person also got a full-size bed (in the description it was a pull-out sofa). The host was helpful and friendly, he was waiting for us upon arrival. We arrived at low tide, it was a special experience to walk on the sand of the sea and the rocks that had become dry. The stairs leading there are a 2-minute walk. All three of us were happy that we chose this accommodation. Thank you!

Gwenn’s place is a peaceful retreat with beautiful views of the countryside and glimpses of the ocean. It has a lot of charm and ambiance and we felt like we were really living in the countryside! Reading in the sun room with the quiet fields beyond was a highlight. The house itself has welcoming, warm rooms and Gwenn is a gracious host. We were only sad we couldn’t stay longer. We would definitely stay again!

We felt truly at home here. The peaceful atmosphere gave us space to unwind, connect, and slow down from the usual pace of life. From the cozy corners to the quiet moments, this house helped center us around simple joys and really enjoy our stay on Inishmore.

Great place to stay. It is clean and the location is unbeatable! It was somewhat difficult to find as there are several apartment/condo buildings next to each other, but not too bad. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Galway.

Francis was an excellent host. He responded very promptly and checked in with us to be sure all was well throughout our stay. The place was nice and clean with plenty of room for our group of 7+ baby. It’s close to all you would want to see in Galway for a couple nights and is right next to the beautiful river where you can have a nice stroll and watch a sunset. Loved it!

Stephanie was the best Airbnb host we ever had! We loved staying at her beautiful, peaceful cottage. She thought of everything to make the space as cozy, and usable as possible. Could not reccomend more:)

We had a wonderful stay at Seafield house! Walking distance to town with a walking path. Noel was very friendly and responsive. We hope to be back again!

Justin and Veronica were wonderful hosts! They went above and beyond what I would expect from a host. They were so kind and welcoming and the bnb was clean and peaceful. The bed was so comfortable! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Spiddal or passing though. We would love to visit again in the future :)

We loved our stay at Barry’s! It was clean, quiet, spacious and very comfortable. Barry met us when we arrived and oriented us to everything. It is a great location to walk everywhere in Ennis, and just a short walk from the bus/train station. We would definitely return for our next visit!

Staying at Bari and Fran's home was one of my favorite Airbnb experiences ever. Not only were we greeted by Barry who was incredibly friendly and gracious, we were totally taken with his beautiful home, the grounds, and just how lovely everything was. One of the highlights of our stay, however, has to be the warmest and friendliest greeting by Susie, Barry and Fran's amazing boxer dog. She truly made our stay feel right at home. I couldn't recommend Bari and friends place more. I truly hope one day I'll be back for Susie to greet us again.

This cottage is wonderful and Gary’s hospitality is amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it as an experience in Irish living. This 300 year old cottage is well maintained and immaculate. Gary drove for the portion of our trip to the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula making our travel relaxing and informative. Had a great stay in the Old Stone Barn. Very atmospheric. Beautiful garden. Nice dog Roxy. Nice shower and beds. Atmospheric details. Philip and Patricia are very hospitable and easily accessible. Can give valuable tips about the area. There is also a useful information folder in the cottage. Highly recommended and a very good base for a holiday in Connemara!
