Holiday rentals with breakfast in Dorchester, Boston

Thomas is a great host. He lives in the house, however he is very quiet. You almost wouldn't know he lived there if he did tell you. This was the second time I stayed here. The first time was a few years back. Thomas had improved the stairs since then. I was pleased to see that he had, as I had mentioned this to him the last time. That was my only complaint then, and now I have no complaints. The house was built around 1905, the interior was redone as some point and electricity has been added (so no worries there ;) ). My room was on the second floor. The stairs like all of the house were wood. The stairs creak when you climb them. It's not a complaint, but it wouldn't hard/expensive to make that stop. He has fresh flowers in every room which is a nice touch. I didn't realize it when I booked the place, but it came with breakfast; Select cereals, organic milk, oats, toasts and bananas. The house was very clean and organized. Additional seating in the living room would be nice and kings beds instead of queen size beds would be better. They left snacks and bottle water for us to have which was appreciated, but we found open gallons of beverages and open food packages in the refrigerator. We also questioned the sign in the kitchen stating no cooking allowed. Honestly, that’s why we stay at Airbnb’s Overall, our stay was comfortable.

Christie’s place exceeded our expectations. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed, plus the free breakfast! The house is in a very peaceful neighborhood with nice restaurants around. It is also a short walk from the Quincy Center train station, so it was easy to travel to downtown Boston as well. Would definitely recommend this place!

Absolutely perfect stay! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described—if not better. The host was incredibly responsive, friendly, and made sure everything was smooth from check-in to check-out. The location was ideal, close to everything we needed but still peaceful and quiet. Would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free experience!

The place was in a great location. Karen was easy to communicate with our needs and concerns and any questions we had. The only request for the future would be to have two keys instead of one.

Hospitable host. Made sure breakfast was available every day. The place is beautiful, well decorated. It made me want to stay longer. Donnell is great to talk to, respectful of your privacy, and available if you need anything. I had a great time.

Carol is a gracious host with a wonderful guest suite. She maintains a tranquil retreat that is surprisingly close to everything. Great for business or leisure travelers alike. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful and felt like home. My bedroom looked out over an enormous formal garden and the bay, with an easy walk to the "T". This will be my go-to place in Boston.

Apartment was clean, comfortable and priced well. It was the perfect size for family of three. Loved the outdoor space and great location. Marblehead is stunning. Host is excellent

Maria is a very thoughtful and proactive host. She was very communicative, especially when there was an unexpected power outage right before check-in. All worked out. The stay was great. Maria truly covered everything you’d want in a little home away from home stay.

I can't say enough about this beautiful apartment. The hostess met us upon our arrival and showed us where everything was located. She left fresh fruit, eggs, butter, bread, drinks, and coffee available. The place was clean and quiet. The best thing is that it is close to the ocean and Boston, as well as Salem, but without the crowds. The apartment itself is adorable and perfect for a romantic getaway—an outstanding value with a very responsive host/hostess. I can't wait to return!

Kevin was very responsive and accommodating which made our experience a great one. His place was perfect to house our 11 family members. The place was clean and spacious.

I used to live in the Boston area, and know what neighborhoods work well when I come back to visit. Watertown is one of them, with the 71 bus to Harvard Square, express bus to downtown Boston, and very nice surroundings reachable by bicycle (Blue Bikes) : Watertown, Belmont, Newton etc. --- so Patrick's location is great. The BnB itself works seamlessly, with Patrick upstairs and two other guests on the ground floor with me. A cleaner comes to tidy. All is provided. Patrick is always reachable. Arrival is easy with a code. Overall, exactly like a B and B is expected to work. Patrick also has full apartment available on the top floor that I would love to use when coming with others.

Zahar was a lovely host who never hesitated to answer any questions when we reached out. Her place was beautiful decorated with so much attention to detail. Great place to stay in Salem very on theme.

We had a wonderful stay. location is a ten minute walk from the main drag in Salem, which was wonderful. It was kept very clean, and my wife LOVED the theme. We wished sound deadening would have been better, but that's mostly the fault of such an old building. Be aware regular speaking conversations can be heard -and clearly understood- from those a floor below.

Great location in Cambridge, walkable to lots of places. House was very clean and so comfortable to hang out in. Lovely yard with table and chairs for sitting and relaxing. Very responsive hosts and I would absolutely stay here again when we return to Boston.

Absolutely loved my stay and the home was full of so much character and charm! Most of all, I enjoyed our chats. I hope to be back soon!

We are very grateful for our stay at Peter's. The apartment was very cozy, we appreciated the easy communication with the hosts and would recommend the stay to anyone looking for a place from where to venture into the city (especially helpful were Peter's tips for Little Italy) and then return for a quiet place in a nice neighbourhood.

Staying at Myra’s beautiful home was one of the most joyful experiences in all my travels. Though far from family, I felt instantly welcomed into a space full of warmth and character. The house exudes timeless charm—book-lined rooms, plush couches, and sunlit corners that invite you to relax. My cosy single room was ideal—even for a tall guest just off a long flight from Australia—and I could happily have stayed much longer. Each morning began with a nourishing, delicious breakfast and truly exceptional coffee. Myra’s attention to detail and genuine care made every part of the stay feel special. Set in a peaceful neighbourhood just 15 minutes by car or 30 by train from the city, the location was perfect for both business and leisure. Once free of luggage (a taxi was ideal), I enjoyed the pleasant walk to Newton Centre and easy commute into town. This home radiates care, comfort, and quiet charm. I hope to return soon and enjoy another coffee in those bright, welcoming rooms.

A+. This place is why I come to Airbnb: unique, immersive, and full of character. I stayed in the Witches Dorm, and it felt like part of the adventure, not just a place to sleep. The decor was rich and authentic, and the common room was so cozy I spent hours writing and reading there. The 2 twin beds were comfy (even for a 6'1" guest.) Hope, the host, is fascinating and has some amazing stories, but also totally respects your space. She keeps the common area well-stocked with snacks, coffee, and drinks, which made mornings and late nights easy. Uber was always available and affordable (~$6–10), making it easy to get around if you don’t feel like walking the scenic 25–30 mins to downtown. The walk downtown can be super varied tho—walking along the coastline one day, thru a park the next, and a myriad of ways down tiny New England streets w cute houses all about the same travel time. My first time in Salem. Felt safe at all hours. Would absolutely stay at this property again. A+

Sad to be leaving. First morning I was awoken by the sounds of birds chitchatting and a warm inviting glow peeking through the windows. Open the French door and listen to the gentle rustling of leaves, the cool breeze flowing in. I could do this for longer. But it’s time to go back to reality. Thank you Joan for hosting.
