Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Dorset

Petra and Dick were very gracious hosts. They took their time to explain how to operate the shower, of which the controls were quite unfamiliar to me, and they prepared a delicious breakfast at a beautiful patio the next morning.

Lovely peaceful Location…stress free and Views are excellent. Lovely family farmhouse ….well equipped. Enjoyed donkeys and sheep close by. Would definitely recommend to friends. Enjoyable stay with grandkids and family.

Jane was extremely welcoming and pleasant. She was very attentive throughout the stay and always checked if everything was OK. The location was fantastic - just a few hundred metres from the cathedral and with the added bonus of parking very close to the cabin. The property is small as described but it's ideal for a short stay.

It was lovely staying at Jessica's. She made us feel comfortable and welcome. The room is wonderful with a stunning view of Bath, and waking up to it was a pleasure. Her kitchen and garden are lovely too. While having breakfast, you can take in a panoramic view of Bath. While the house is easily accessible, the location makes it quiet and peaceful. The bed was really comfy too and we slept really well. We had a really packed 2 days and walked about a lot, so getting to rest at such a lovely, welcoming space at the end of the day was brilliant. Jessica is very knowledgeable about Bath and gave great recommendations. Meeting her was as much a pleasure as the stay!

Fiona ist die perfekte Gastgeberin. Sie nimmt sich Zeit für Gespräche, hat immer ein offenes Ohr und viel Wissen, um z.B. Fragen zum Gastland bzw. der Region fundiert zu beantworten. Es war etwas ganz Besonderes in Ihrem schönen ruhig gelegenen Haus mit phantastischem Meerblick zu Gast sein zu dürfen. Auch ihr Mann und ihre Tochter waren sehr zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und köstlich mit guten Zutaten. Der Hafen und die Altstadt von Weymouth mit einigen Restaurants sind gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen. We spent a couple of nights at Karen’s studio, the stay was just perfect for what we needed; off road parking, comfy bed, handy kitchenette, clean bathroom and lots of amenities within the studio. Great communication with Karen and easy check in/out. We would stay again, thanks for having us. Xx

What an absolute gem! One of the best stays I've had in the UK, Patrick and Sophie were very friendly and communicative. As for the space, beautifully renovated to the highest standard, clean, well equipped, our every need was catered for. I can't wait to have another opportunity to stay here soon, and you will not be disappointed!

The 3 weeks that I spent at Nina’s with Betsy, Minou and Suki as roommates were my most cherished weeks of 2025! Nina’s place is spotless, pretty, cosy, just everything to make you feel right at home. She’s a wonderful host, who became a friend. The city is the just spectacular and truly heals! My heart is heavy leaving this beautiful place, and my darling Betsy. Until next time!

Before arrival the host checked if we had any dietary needs to cater for. We were given more info to find the BnB; which helped! The host and dogs greeted us on arrival and we were shown to our room, en-suite and a shared fridge (fresh milk and cold water). The bedroom was clean, spacious and well lit. Amenities included a kettle, hot drink options, cups and a mosquito net over the bed; it was a hot weekend. There was also a booklet which gave us some background on our hosts, local map information, walking routes as well as a nice short cut to the local pub. The breakfast options were aplenty and it felt like everything was homemade. The host’s garden area is incredible; they keep bees, an enclosed vegetable patch and that’s all we could see in the front area! There was a lounge area and access to the rear garden for guests but admittedly we spent most of our time out exploring. Would highly recommend if you want a quiet weekend away or explore The New Forest.

l'appartement de Martin est très beau!. tout est propre et bien entretenu. Le lit est confortable et la salle de bain est parfaite. La maison est situé dans un quartier très tranquille. Martin est un très bon hôte; Aimable, accueillant et toujours à disposition. Nos avons passé 15 jours merveilleux. Merci cher Martin ... Merci de tout coeur pour ce temps partage.

This was our first stay at an Airbnb and it certainly set a high standard. We only stayed the one night for visiting Stonehenge but would gladly have stayed longer. The property was clean comfortable and had everything we needed. Would definitely use again if in the area.

The communication from Liz and Steve was excellent from booking until after our departure. The house is beautiful, well equipped and exceptionally clean and tidy. We stayed in the first floor bedroom overlooking the bowling green with its own ensuite and lounge with TV and a folder about the house including the Wi-Fi code, settings for hot water/heating, extra towels etc. and very useful information about all the local amenities and services. The use of the lovely kitchen was a bonus and you helped yourself to tea, coffee, cereals, toast, jam and honey. Unfortunately our journey to Southampton was delayed so arriving late at night we didn’t have a chance to sit out in the garden. Everything was absolutely first class and we are really looking forward to our next stay in September. Thank you Liz and Steve for a 5🌟 stay and a great start to our holiday.

We loved this place. This farm stay has been carefully thought out, and is set against rolling Hampshire Hills with the bonus of young calves (at the time of our stay) in the paddock behind the property. This is a great location, well presented, walkable and comfortable. We stayed during a heatwave, but the barn style doors did a good job of helping keep the place cool. The hosts are very friendly and provided us with local milk (yum), along with juices, jams and breakfast items which was a nice touch. We enjoyed this property and would happily stay again!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay for the Race for the Sun Jurrassic coast event. Annas place was immaculately clean and stylishly decorated. The space was just what you need for a comforatable break. Anna provided a lovely continental breakfast and we enjoyed the sun trap in the garden for eating. Would definitely recommend.

Staying with Alison is just perfect and I really look forward now to my visits to Dorset and Somerset. The views are sensational and the facilities are perfect and Alison is such a wonderfully natural person to be around with - what more could you ask for really whether you are in from a working day or on holiday? Thank you again, Alison I have booked myself in already with you for my next trip to your beautiful county.

Lyn and John were fantastic hosts - being generous with lively conversation but also providing options for privacy as desired. I paid a reduced rate due to some regulars being out of town, but they are already providing an excellent value classic bed and breakfast service with homestay personal touches. Lyn offers a full cooked breakfast and cereals to all guests, but was happy to make adjustments to tastes and needs. John also makes a tasty coffee from the espresso machine. I would be glad to return if I am able to find a moment when they are not fully booked!

What a fantastic find - beautiful location, gorgeous house and garden and Abigail is such a wonderful, friendly, thoughtful and accomodating host. Even the many different birds make you feel welcome. You couldn't wish for more at this idyllic cottage. Highly recommended.

Avril is an excellent host. She was so kind that she collected me from the train station. Her house is beautiful, very homely (I love foxes too) and comfy. We had brilliant conversations and she gave me advice on where to go for food and day visits. I'll definitely stay here again when I visit the area again.

Thank you Clare for our lovely stay. We had 2 children that loved the pool in the sunshine. Kitchen had everything we needed as did the rest of the property. A lovely tranquil stay just what we needed! The only concern for other holiday makers would be the steps upto the mezzanine level. Was absolutely fine for us but if you are little unsteady or have younger kits it may be an item of concern. Our 11 and 9 year olds loved it. Thanks again Clare, lovely property in a great location. Perfect!!!

I was totally blown away by this little slice of heaven! The most wonderful, friendly, helpful hosts who have thought of everything you could possibly want. Every detail was thoughtful and luxurious, the breakfast was like that of a 5* hotel and i was truly blown away with the comfort and honely feel of the property. I will be back! :)
