Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Douro River

This place is an absolute gem. It is one of the nicest places we found in Portugal. The house is located in a small vineyard. Beds were comfortable. There’s a wood fired barbeque a great outdoor covered area and a beautiful infinity pool. Every morning we had fresh bread delivered to our doorstep. We picked lemons and oranges from around the house and had the host deliver us fruit. It was beautiful and quiet. The only negative is that we enjoy the place so much we did not visit any of the surrounding areas😊. If we had any questions, the host was response almost immediately with suggestions for places to go restaurants, markets. We had an excellent day and would return and stay there again anytime. It is definitely a 10 out of 10 definitely highly recommended.

It felt like home when we returned after 6 six years. The place of Laurence & Jorge is in line with the pictures and the view is amazing. The house has everything you need, we really loved the mattresses and the pillows. The house is surrounded by a large garden, and we liked the privacy and the fruit trees in the garden. Getting into the house is easy and communication is perfect. We will definitely return again! We recommend to do some groceries before you arrive, the nearest supermarket is a 15 min drive away. It seems impossible to write something new about Maria and her wonderful place at the Douro River that has not been already commented and praised by previous guests. The 5-star review rating for Casa do Rio is very well earned: it is a piece of heaven, tucked away in the Douro Valley and Maria - and not to forget her husband, Jose (who does not get enough praise in other reviews) - are exceptional hosts. We stayed for 3 weeks, with a number of our friends coming to visit us for shorter stays. Maria accommodate all of our changing check-in and check-out needs without a glitch. We enjoyed taking advantage of the many activities and entertainment options - including massages by Hugo (a master of his craft) that the location provides. One thing to be aware of: There is no shopping option and limited restaurant choices available in walking distance, hence a car is almost a necessity for a longer stay.

We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful home! It’s spacious, stylish, and absolutely perfect for a large group. The layout is ideal with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs feels like a dedicated hosting space, perfect for socialising, gathering, a nice big hot tub!!!! The views are truly spectacular we enjoyed barbecuing while overlooking the vineyards, which felt like something out of a dream. It’s even more stunning in real life than in the photos (which is saying a lot!). The hostess was absolutely lovely so friendly and helpful. She responded promptly to every request and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. I genuinely can’t fault this place. If I could, I’d return every weekend! It’s ideal for groups of friends, families. The house is incredibly well-suited for the Douro Valley and ticks every box. Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a wonderful stay! Would 101% recommend!

It's a very nice place with beautiful views and a very natural environment that gives you a lot of peace and tranquility and you only hear the birds singing. The most amazing Airbnb I have ever stayed at. So value for what it is and it was beyond our expectations. Would love to stay here again. Carlos was so responsive, flexible with check in and assisted us with different taxi options when needed. The house keepers were so lovely and helpful

l had a great time, the place is much better than the pictures, the views were amazing, check in and out was very easy, Francisco was very friendly and helpful, the house was clean and cosy with all the comforts needed. the swimming pool was great with spectacular views.

Maria's home is a hidden gem! It is an absolutely beautiful location. The views do not even seem real; the photos do not do it justice. You are nestled in the valley and feel like part of nature. The home itself is so cozy, kitchen with everything you could ever need, and a cozy sitting area. There are large windows all across the valley view side of the house, so you can literally see the gorgeous view from wherever you are. The outside area is equally beautiful. I saved the best for last: the unbelievable hospitality of our hosts. I have never met such kind people. From the welcome upon our arrival, to the communication we had through messaging, we were met with nothing but extreme kindness. Thank you so much, Maria and Maria!! You have my highest recommendation.

From arrival at Luis place I felt at home and in the company of a wonderful host. Luis contacted me daily to make sure everything was OK and provided recommendations for activities and places to visit. I enjoyed the pedestrian zone, the parks, the bookstore the riverside and churches all on waking distance from the apartment. I was pleased to meet his daughter Teresa who make me feel more like part of a family. I will always remember Luis kindness and charm. Thanks also for helping me get a taxi for my early ride to the airport. I will definitely book your beautiful place again on my next trip to Porto.

Sofia's apartment was great for our stay in Porto. it is located on a great walking street with tons of shops and restaurants. Eventhough it is located in a popular area, the windows are upgraded and kept the apartment quiet. Check-in was easy and communication was helpful and responsive. We will definitely stay there again the next time I am in Porto.

Cesar was a wonderful host - he communicated with us quickly and effectively. The flat was beautiful and right in the heart of Madrid, you cannot ask for a better location. We had a great time here! The space is small but very clean, cute and has everything you need. The balcony was great and we enjoyed several mornings sipping coffee outside. Daniel was very communicative, responsive and helpful. Highly recommend staying here. Location was also perfect and in walking distance of the Ribeira!

Wonderful apartment in a walkable area with lots of restaurants and shops. The space was so welcoming and had everything we needed. Very comfortable bed, a must have for a good stay! Fatima was always warm and helpful with recommendations. It is located on a busy walking street, so if you go to bed early you may want to bring earplugs but that seems a small price to pay for this excellent location!

The apartment was perfect. The host helped us solving some issues we had during the stay. They were great and extremely kind. We highly recommend and will definitely book this apartment again if we come back to Braga.

The apartment is a delight from the moment you walk in. It is beautifully decorated and feels like a home. Great bathroom with amazing rain shower and hot water. Bedroom and kitchen and living areas are all well presented and equipped with all you need and with lots of additional touches. Very quiet for sleeping, and great air conditioning in bedroom and living area. Great location to explore Porto, and don’t even have to walk very far at all, including a great cafe next door, to find lovely eating places. Pedro was a wonderful host in every way.

Nuno’s Porto studio was great! The location is perfect as it has various great restaurants and cafes right on the same street and you can walk to anywhere in the city within 10-15 min. The place was a modern studio that was very clean and had cool views. Nuno was very responsive and accommodating. I would stay here again!

Great apt and centrally located near Malasaña. Despite being on a big street it was very quiet at night. We had a great stay.

Daniel is extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and very quick responses. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend any of Daniel's private tours which are much more personal. if we return to Porto we would definitely stay here again.

I stayed in this fantastic room in Madrid and I can only highly recommend it! The location was perfect, situated in a lively neighborhood full of restaurants and attractions. The room was perfect, cozy and well furnished, with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. In short, it was a super nice experience and I can't wait to go back.
