"Traditional Cornish Cottage, Cosy and Homely"

ElizabethRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A lovely cornish cottage with great garden for our dog & very convenient parking right outside thd front door which is good for the price. A good & handy welcome guide. We walked to Charlestown which only takes 15 minutes & is beautiful, had a coffee & really nice stroll, beach & harbor walk. We drove to Mevagissey which only takes 20 minutes, enjoyed the atmosphere, shops & a pasty here. The only downside was couldn't find anywhere nice right where we were like a cafe. Busy traffic but quieter at night. Only tip for cottage would be curtains for room our daughter stayed in for coziness & block light out more & a curtain to go accross front door for the same reasons. Other than that its a spacious, pretty & clean cottage, checking in and out was simple. Thank you.

Cottage in the heart of Charlestown, Cornwall

WillRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Absolutely fantastic! We cannot speak more highly about the cottage and Vicky as a host - both are warm and wonderful! The cottage was ideal for our family of five, and so well laid out both downstairs and upstairs - both cosy and spacious. It is amazingly well stocked and all the amenities are such great quality, it really feels like a home-from-home and made it such a comfortable stay. The location is ideal, just a few minutes walk to the harbour and a lovely range of places to eat/drink/shop. We loved that we could walk to beautiful beaches in either direction and not have to get in the car - although also a short drive from lots of great spots. Vicky went above and beyond as a host, and was such a joy to communicate with throughout. She was so flexible and gave it all such a personal touch, and had so many brilliant local recommendations particularly with the kids. We had the best time and will definitely be going back - for longer!

Great little home in a great location. 10 minutes easy walk to Charlestown. It was spotlessly clean and well stocked. Would definitely recommend as a great base to explore Charlestown, Fowey, Mevagissy and loads more.

Easy check in with clear instructions. House was very clean. Space on driveway to park our Ford Kuga (Escape). Charging was also available from the driveway. 5 min walk to private beach and coastal running/walking path. 10 min walk to Charlestown. Kids room with bunk beds, kids books, and toys in the under stairs closet. This place was perfect for our small family, including our 4 year old and my parents. Coffee maker and well stocked kitchen. 5 min drive to ASDA. Simple check out. Overall, a great stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Coastal House, access to private beach Charlestown

LindseyRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Rachel provided a guide to the house which was really helpful in navigating our way around. The house is beautiful, and the welcome treats were very much appreciated. Rachel is a very thoughtful host - the Christmas decorations and tree made our stay even more special. The location is fantastic, just a short walk down to the beach and about a 10 minute walk to Charlestown which is well worth a stroll. The house is very spacious and well equipped. We had such a lovely, relaxing time and found it very difficult to leave! An absolute gem of a property!

Thank you Heather & Paul for a lovely welcome, was nice to meet you both in person. We loved staying it your lovely converted barn. Was a lovely touch to leave some Milk, Bread, Scones Cream & Jam (when in Cornwall... 😊). The place was extremely clean and well kitted out with all we needed and felt very homely for our stay. Thoroughly recommended. Paul

3 Trenarren House is incredible! The views are fabulous and the sound of the gulls and the ocean in the early morning were delightful. Tracy’s scones and clotted cream were a hit with our family. Trenarren House was very clean and well stocked. The bedrooms were light and spacious. Our family of 6 fit comfortably. The living room was comfortable and well situated by the kitchen and the deck. We appreciated the washing machine and dryer and absolutely loved the location. Crinnis Beaxh was a lovely, short walk from the house and we enjoyed many tasty lattes at Manor Made Cornwall and bought beach towels, blankets and toys from Tasha at the Beach Shop. Really wonderful people at Crinnis Beach! We had a few fantastic dinners in Charlestown, just a 15-20 minute walk from Trenarren House - one at Springtide Seaside Kitchen and another at the Pier House. Delicious! Highly recommend!
