Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Durham County

This home was beautiful and spotless. It looked like new, but with charm and character. There is plenty of storage in each room. The hosts were responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We loved walking through the neighborhood and finding local coffee shops. Would definitely stay again!

Truly one of the best thought out stays I’ve experienced. Jim and Donna have planned for many details, from a place to dry dishes to tissues to extra bath towels. The kitchen is well stocked and there is nothing missing you could need! They’ve even made sure to have plenty of outlets in the nightstand lamps. The fenced yard is great for pets and a good size lot. A peaceful and ideal location for Durham.

Loved our stay at Villa Pinea. We are MCM lovers and this home is a perfect time capsule. The design and furniture are super livable and beautiful. The space is perfect for a long stay. There are spaces for work, rest and hanging out. The kitchen has everything and the listing is well stocked with all you need for coffee or big dinner. During the day, the house is serene and peaceful with views of nature from every window. At night you will be joined by all the sounds of nature including frogs and an occasional screech owl. This is a great place for rest and relaxation and Durham/ Chapel Hill are both 10 minutes away.

Emily’s home was bright, comfortable, and set in a beautiful, leafy neighborhood filled with trees and gardens. The setting was peaceful and quiet, yet just a pleasant 15-minute walk from downtown Durham’s vibrant mix of restaurants, cafés, and bars. A perfect introduction to Durham’s relaxed and welcoming vibe.

This was a great little Airbnb. It had a family of deer right outside the door. The bed and bathroom were very comfortable. Had lots of amenities, including a replacement toothbrush after I realized I had forgotten mine.

I really enjoyed staying at Katherine’s. The home is very beautiful, cozy, and clean. I really enjoyed the amenities and backyard. I highly recommend it to others visiting Durham for the first time. It’s close to everything

I highly recommend Lucy's property if you are in town for a DPAC or Bulls Stadium event. Both are short walks away from her location. There are also plenty of bars, restaurants, and things to do nearby. She also has a zero gravity massage chair that is great! Do not waste money on a hotel...stay here!

Haley and Sam were solicitous, responded quickly to all my messages, and even thoughtfully offered a late check-out, which I greatly appreciated. Their place was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. If you're looking for a convenient spot with easy walking access to Duke University, this is definitely the place to stay! I recommend their place and would absolutely return.

Amazing AMAZING host. They were able to accommodate me whenever I had a scheduling change. Located in the heart of downtown close to many bars and restaurants. The host was responsive and friendly. Will definitely book again when I am back in town

If you're in the Duke area and are needing a place to stay, look no further! This listing is located in an older, yet beautifully upgraded Triplex, with ample parking in the back alley. It was like finding your own little hidden treasure as you made your way down the alley, that then opened up to a space that could easily fit 5 vehicles (although only 2 slots are allocated for this rental - which is still PLENTY). The bed was wonderfully comfortable with 4 pillows, closet was huge with provided hangers, the kitchen was incredibly spacious considering the size of the unit and the full size fridge was fantastic. The bathroom has a deep tub with a removable shower head, and all of the linens were crisp. There are a ton of restaurants and shops right around the corner, and it gave off a friendly neighborhood vibe. Mom's pushing their strollers, people running with their dogs, kids swinging on swing sets at a local park...It was everything I was looking for, and more.

We had an incredible time at Stephen’s! Came into town for a show at The Pinhook and could not have picked a better place to stay. Beautiful garden and backyard, and the space is cozy and interesting. He’s friendly and fun, and the kitty welcome committee is an added bonus! Will definitely plan to return the next time I’m in town.

This was absolutely perfect. Only bummer was we couldn't stay as long as we'd hoped and it was super rainy so we didn't get to swim much. overall an excellent stay, will definitely be back!

Love Pearl Mill Flats! Great location so close to downtown Durham - even able to walk to a Durham Bulls game. And of course love the salt water swimming pool!

Excellent location. The only thing I suggest is to install curtains for the bedroom windows to reduce light at night.

Darryel and his place were all around really great. It was wonderful being in a clean, non-smoking apartment. He was great with communication and we loved our stay. Will be back!
