Cottage holiday rentals in Eastern Shore of Virginia

The cottage was so cute, the back porch was so cozy and comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and everything was clean. The walk to the beach was so pleasant and super close, the hot tub was private and clean. We had a romantic weekend for two but this would be perfect for a young family, for some very relaxing beach time. The host was so gracious and responsive and the location so convenient from DC.

My friend and I loved staying at this little house. It was so close to the beach, the hot tub was amazing in the evenings and the house was comfortable and welcoming. It was clean, organized and well stocked with the towels. Great little getaway spot at a wonderful price.

The house is wonderful! We enjoyed being in the fenced backyard with our dogs, hanging out on the dock watching the boats go by, or just sitting in the house admiring the view through the huge picture windows. It was very clean and had all that we needed for a relaxing get away weekend. Natalie was very responsive and very helpful with great local suggestions. Emily's Produce is only a few minutes away and has everything we needed, including fully cooked meals. We can't wait to come back!

Had a mini friend vacation with 6 people total and we all immediately felt right at home. The layout of the home is extremely convenient-there’s a half bath next to the washer/dryer right near the door to the deck- it was perfect for fast bathroom breaks without getting the entire house wet! We spent most of our time in the pool area and game room, and both spaces had everything we needed! (Nadia, I hope you don’t mind we left a few pool new loungers behind!) We took advantage of pretty much everything aside from swimming in the lake (bugs were really bad, no one’s fault at all but be warned- you NEED to have bug spray.) The only critique I could give was the softness of the beds, they were all really firm and if you have any sort of sleeping and or back/pain problems, it could be evident the next morning. But overall it was an amazing time and the host was extremely courteous and genuinely caring! A lot of love goes into this spot and you can tell. We can’t wait to go back.

This lake house was such a relaxing place to stay! Had everything we needed and then some. It’s a bit of a hill to climb to get back to the house from the lake but not terrible. The beach recommendations were great! We found a ton of shark teeth and the kids really enjoyed themselves.

This place was great! The secret beach was outstanding. Just what my family was looking for. We spent each day by the water, enjoying the surroundings, and having fun together. There are a few beach toys and beach chairs available which we took advantage of, and enjoying using the kayaks when the bay was calm. We shared nice meals at the large dining room table inside, as well as on the deck. Overall, a wonderful play to relax and reconnect.

Had such a lovely stay at the Little House to attend a wedding at the Maritime Museum which is virtually next door. We hope to be back again when we have more time to enjoy the gorgeous view, little beach, and walk to a restaurant or two. Perfect location and we were in awe at how many stars we could see with so little light pollution compared to our home in the suburbs. 🩷 Even with summer temps the screen porch with fan was the best way to wind down in the evening. They’ve thought of everything you could possibly need!

This was our second stay at this location. The house is on a fairly busy street but tucked away perfectly once you arrive you’d never know it. Steps from the beach and easy to come and go many times a day not feeling tacked down to lug everything you need once. Safe for kids coming and going. Best times for us were sunrise and sunsets.. amazing. Finding crabs, building sand structures and building memories. The front porch is perfection and the whole family could hang out there all day. Beautiful yard I felt safe allowing the dogs to be free. The beach is not crowded. Not far from stores and places to get fresh seafood etc. we’d recommend this place to anyone.

Great place for a quick getaway! The beach is right across the road and wasn’t crowded at all during our stay. There’s plenty to do in the surrounding areas and we enjoyed attending the Harbor Fest!

Loved staying at this quiet retreat! Mornings listening to birds, afternoons in the sunny backyard, stars and stars! Really loved this place and will be back again.

Bee Haven is a perfect size for 2-4 people. It is nicely decorated and has everything you need to feel at home. It is located in a very peaceful, quiet area, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. It is close to many activities to keep you busy. It is also close to a lot of restaurants. The front porch is a nice place to start your day with coffee and end your day with beverage of choice. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The house was nice, cozy, and felt like a home away from home, which made it easy to relax from the moment we arrived. The view was absolutely breathtaking—we found ourselves simply gazing out and soaking it all in. A highlight of our trip was the time we spent fishing on the beach; it was peaceful, fun, and made for some unforgettable memories. What made our stay even better was the warm and welcoming family next door. They were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us with the few questions we had. It was a small gesture that made a big difference. This place was everything we hoped for and more. We'd absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a serene, comfortable spot to unwind and enjoy nature.

Dave & Anjeli have truly done a wonderful job with this Airbnb. Airbnbs often don't live up to their marketing but I think this is the first one I've encountered that greatly exceeded even our wildest expectations. There's something for everyone whether you're into gaming, music, cooking, the outdoors, or want easy access to town. The house was spotless, fully outfitted, effortless to check in and out, and Dave was perfectly communicative, always available when needed and on top of anything that came up during our stay but never felt overbearing in any way. This was the best experience I've ever had with an Airbnb and we would be happy to stay here again. A word to the wise- the Ladybug is surrounded by a nature preserve so it was buggy with both natural pollinators but also mosquitos and ticks which should come as no surprise given the timing of our stay. Make sure your pets are up to date on their tick preventatives and don't forget your personal pest preventatives. Thanks again!!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The location has breathtaking waterfront views and spectacular sunsets. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The inside was immaculate and equipped with everything we needed. We really appreciated all the extras provided. Charming coastal decor throughout. We had a hiccup checking in but the situation was remedied quickly.

My father, husband, kids, and I spent a week here just “getting away”. Close enough to drive to Williamsburg to find entertainment, and far enough from the busy-ness of life to feel very peaceful. My favorite part was reading on the front porch over coffee and watching the crane looking for food in the river. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful home and just the right space for our family. Maggie was a great host and had all the items need for my grandson including age appropriate toys. This was our second stay and could not ask for a better place in Onancock.

This is such a cute cottage! It really has all you need for a couple or small family. Lots of amenities with the game room, bikes, and kayaks! Wonderful stay, right on creek, and you can see Bay through the houses.

Great getaway place, super peaceful, and quiet. Beautiful views. Just a few helpful tips for your visit …might want to bring tin foil, plastic wrap, etc. We didn’t care for the taste of the tapwater, may want to bring your own. Matches for the grill were found in the utility room. Shed had plenty of extra space to store our 2 bikes, could fit 3-4. Highly recommend, we would definitely stay here again!!
