In an idyllic setting, about 1.5 miles East of Hedley-on-the-Hill, on the Northumberland/Durham border with far reaching views. Extensively equipped kitchen incl. fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing m/c, microwave, coffee machine, toaster etc. We operate a "Contact-free" check-in and stay but we are close by if needed

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

Charlie’s Hut is a spa suite in the woods, featuring a Hot Tub with cover, an outdoor bath which can also be used as a cold plunge.

We have recently updated our Dairy cottage, by fitting an new kitchen and new windows ! Our Dairy cottage has a double room and a twin room, a modern bathroom, and a cosy living/dining/kitchen area with Smart TV and a wood burning stove ----- the stove is just for fun, there is gas central heating as well to keep it toasty warm. Set on a working sheep farm, the cottage is a great base for local attractions like Beamish Museum, Durham and Hadrian's wall.
