My girlfriends and I loved our stay at the Big Dipper! The cabin is beautiful, comfortable and conveniently located. There was plenty of space for the six of us. We particularly enjoyed hanging out on the stunning deck, in the hot tub and at nearby Speedboat Beach. Sally was a communicative and helpful host, and her local recommendations are spot on! We would happily to return and will not hesitate to recommend this property to our friends and family.

We enjoyed the stay at Tina's place. Her house is in a quite neighborhood and very close to the sugar pine point state park. Tina provided very detailed check-in instruction and the place is well-equipped (you can even use the bikes from the shed). We had an issue with the hot water from the shower and she quickly communicated back and arranged for the fix. I recommend to stay in this place.

Stayed at Burt’s place while attending a herding trial in Gardnerville with our dogs. The place was perfect! It was so peaceful and quiet. Kitchen was well stocked and a joy to cook in. The dogs enjoyed the yard. Beds were super comfortable, locals were very nice. The restaurant next door, Stonefly, is pricey but the food and ambiance is excellent. We will definitely be back again!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cabin! It's tucked away on a very private and peaceful piece of property, which made it the perfect escape. The owners clearly put a lot of care and thought into the experience—they went above and beyond to make everything welcoming and comfortable. The cabin was spotless, and it was such a joy and unique opportunity to relax and take in the natural surroundings, especially the gardens. We truly didn’t want to leave and tried to extend our stay, but it was already booked—no surprise, considering how special this place is. We can't wait to come back! The hummingbirds were a bonus!

We were looking for a private, rustic, yet modern weekend retreat and we found it. The setting was great and the cabin had all the indoor and outdoor amenities we were expecting, plus an expansive deck with comfortable furniture - and a helpful bug zapper!

Absolutely Incredible Stay! We had the most amazing experience staying at this property. The Susan was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The house itself exceeded all our expectations — it was spacious, beautifully designed, exceptionally comfortable, and cozy. The coffee machine was lovely. It was such a treat to wake up each morning and enjoy a great cup of coffee in such a cozy and stylish space. What a lovely, relaxing, private, beautiful place. The location is a 10/10. The house is surrounded by nature - towering trees with light filtering through, the sound of birds chirping and the river running, and the peacefulness made it the perfect weekend getaway. Our favorite part was definitely the private lake access. The area was perfect for our toddler who loved playing in the bank with her sand toys. The depth of the water was ideal, and we enjoyed walking in the river and taking the kayaks up and down. There were even little fish swimming everywhere and the occasional duck floating by. We loved lounging in the outdoor chairs and just enjoying the scenery. The hot tub and game room were an added bonus. The house itself was perfect for the three of us and had everything we needed to cook all our meals. Would definitely stay here again!

I can’t say enough about David’s place. This little cottage has all the feelings of home. It’s super cozy and has a great location. The view is stunning from the deck. David was great about communicating with me and responding to questions. I hope to be able to return to Lake Tahoe someday and I will definitely look into staying here again. Thank you so much for sharing your little spot of paradise with us!

The house is beautiful and very comfortable. It accommodated everyone comfortably. The beds were some of the most comfortable I've slept on in any Airbnb. Kathryn was very responsive host. my family and I would absolutely stay here again.

We LOVE staying here whatever the season! Everything is perfect for us and our husky dog inside the beautiful house and the large enclosed yard. This has been our favorite place to stay in all of Tahoe :)

Everything came as expected. Terrific views from the deck, quieter slower pace etc. the real heart & souls of the place is Nancy whom will take the time to show you the cabin in person and make sure you’re taken care of.

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay with our dog. The home is a peaceful and quiet escape from the busy pace of everyday life. Surrounded by wilderness, it offered a great chance to disconnect and unwind. We even spotted a few deer in the late evening and early morning, which was such a wonderful experience! Just a couple of minor things to note: the bathroom sink was a bit farther than my wife liking due to height, and the bath towels could have been a bit cleaner. Otherwise, everything was great, and we truly appreciated the serene atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway!

We had the pleasure of staying at The Sugar Pine Speakeasy in Homewood, CA, and it was an unforgettable experience. This charming A-frame cabin is nestled between Homewood and Tahoe City, offering a serene escape surrounded by the forest. Our stay here was nothing short of magical. Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, this cabin offers the perfect setting.

The views are worth every penny & every stair to get in and out. The beds were extremely comfortable and we felt right at home! They had everything you could need and paid attention to little details. Would love to stay again in the future!

I had a great 3 night stay at Chris’s place. The house has a well equipped kitchen and many other nice amenities for a good stay like a good soundbox, climate control, privacy and comfort . I would come back many times.

Had a wonderful stay and looking forward to coming back! Place was very clean with an updated bathroom and kitchen well stocked for cooking. Extremely comfortable pillows and mattress (they were on the firm side, so if you like a soft mattress, be aware). Definitely recommend, great value for the price!

Wonderful stay in Tahoma! The cabin is cozy and yet spacious enough for 6 or 8 (we ended up with our family of 4 on the trip). Great restaurants and hiking are close by. The cabin feels remote but is in a great neighborhood quite near the lake. Be aware that the roads in South Lake Tahoe (where the casinos are) is under major construction and expect delays traveling through (we came from the Nevada side and sat in about 1.5 hours of traffic to get through). This was June 9, 2025. Hopefully they are done soon, just be aware of potential delays. Avoid if you can.
