Holiday rentals with a washing machine and dryer in Edinburgh Old Town

Amazing, cozy historical space in a prime location. Great communication from hosts. Strongly recommend, will be back!

We had a wonderful short stay in Edinburgh. Richard's apartment was ideal for comfort and convenience - the views were wonderful, the beds comfortable, great hot water, well equipped kitchen and remarkably quiet and peaceful at night for sleeping. We visited the beautiful Scottish National Gallery, Giles Cathedral, the Edinburgh Castle, Calton Hill, and hiked partway up Arthur's Seat to a great view. One of our highlights was walking in lovely Pentland Hills which is about 30 minutes out of town but provided beautiful trees along the lake and scenic hills and sheep. We also ate at some outstanding restaurants. All this in two and half days. Staying at Richard's place was perfect for our trip.

We loved staying at Sue and Grant’s place! The location was outstanding, a block off the Royal Mile and just up the Mound from Princes St Gardens. The hosts take a lot of care with amenities, like ear plugs for guests not used to some city noise. The noise was actually minimal, being 3 floors up and most of the local restaurants closing fairly early. The bathtub was perfect for a soak after walking all day. The kitchen was wonderful, but we only really used it for breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were good sizes, especially for an older building. The lounge/sitting room was comfortable, everything made us feel welcomed and at home. We wished we were staying longer!! I hope we can stay again in the future.

A fantastic location, right in the heart of the Grassmarket area. This flat is roomy and comfortable with a very modern (and well equipped) kitchen and bathroom. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Emma’s Airbnb is excellent and I would stay there again without hesitation. Emma was friendly, welcoming and very responsive. The flat is in a quiet, safe area of town but only a short walk (3 blocks) to the center of the Royal mile. Check in was easy and flexible. We arrived late and Emma left recommendations for a friendly pub, Holyrood 9A, a block from the flat that served late dinner. The flat was very comfortable and well equipped. The 2 bedrooms were perfect for our group of 3 adults. The beds were very comfortable. Emma even provided different types of pillows to make sleeping comfortable. The living room has 2 comfortable sofas. The TV has local channels and streaming services available. We brought laundry detergent pods with us to use the combo washer/dryer. UK dryers aren’t as fast as the separate dryer we have in the US so we washed clothes in the evening and hung them to dry overnight which worked well. Overall, Emma’s place worked perfectly for our visit to Edinburgh.

All the comforts of home with an excellent location in a quiet neighborhood. 2 minute walk to the trendy main street of Stockbridge and a few steps from the Leith walkway. 15 minute walk to downtown.

Craigs place was exactly as advertised. Clean and bright full or character and history.Righr outside Edniburgh Castle, convenient to everything! Would stay again.

Maureen was helpful even before we traveled, with helpful advice on getting around and to and from the airport and train station. When we walked into the flat we were surprised with fresh flowers in the dinette and bathroom as well as fresh fruit, tea & coffee & milk. We arrived in Edinburgh hours before check-in and Maureen met us to work out where we could leave our luggage so we could enjoy some time in the city without lugging it around! SUPERHOST for sure.

My friends and I enjoyed a great stay at Di’s place. She was an excellent host - from booking through to check out - and offers a very well equipped, spotlessly clean and spacious place to stay in a lovely part of Edinburgh. The beds are comfy, the decor is tasteful and lighting has been well thought-out. And there’s a lovely garden too. We found it a very pleasant and peaceful place to return to after exploring Edinburgh. There are great restaurants, coffee shops and shops a couple of minutes walk away - and it is a nice walk into the centre of the city and out to Arthur’s Seat. I highly recommend and would love to stay again in the future. Thank you Di!

A home away from home ❤️ The house was lovely, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. I was travelling with parents and a small child - so split levels meant everyone could have their own space and a big communal area on the ground floor which was perfect for us all. Location was great. A short cab ride into town, but walkable too. Close by to Arthur’s Seat, which is a must to do while in Edinburgh. Karen and Carina are amazing hosts, very responsive and went above and beyond for us. Would highly recommend! Thank you.

Truly spectacular view in a wonderful setting. Gorgeous property that is obviously a project that is well loved. We would welcome the opportunity to stay here again.

Izzy's home is a lovely retreat. It is in a very quiet location, convenient for everything and within walking distance of a Morrisons Superstore. A few minutes drive from the railway station with free parking and with frequent services into the centre of Edinburgh. It has everything you need, including a washing machine and tumble dryer. The internet is reliable and very fast. We had a very comfortable stay and would certainly stay there again.

Cannot recommend this place enough - spacious, homely, beautifully decorated, clean, lovely rooms. As for Marie, she was lovely - an absolutely fantastic host, super friendly, went out of her way to help, was very flexible, and communicated superbly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great stay at 2 Castle Street. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable with a great range of facilities and toiletries. The view would be very hard to beat and the location was the perfect spot for sightseeing around Edinburgh. The area felt very safe. Handy little grocery store nearby if you needed to grab some essentials but also surrounded by a wide variety of independent food retailers. If you eat out give Badger and Co a visit, just up Castle Street as it is amazing. For a real foodie treat The Kitchen in Leith was great. The tram is very easy to use and on the doorstep so getting about is but we walked everywhere - the hills are a workout! We loved Edinburgh and staying g at Joe’s was the icing on the cake. Thank you Joe, Nadia and Richard for checking in with us throughout our stay 😀

Fiona’s place was great, super convenient for the city centre! Only a 10 min walk either through the park or around the streets to the Royal Mile. Lots of buses to take you into the centre too with a very handy bus app called Edinbus. The apartment was clean, homely and perfect for me and my mum. The sofa bed was very comfy! All the amenities that you could need. Fiona was responsive and informative. She was very lovely and gave a very detailed explanation on how to find the apartment upon check in.

It was a very beautiful room and we had a pleasant vacation. Edinburgh is very beautiful.

I have been to Edinburgh a few times and my daughter wanted to go back for her high school graduation present, so I really wanted to make this trip special. We found Eliana's place and my daughter immediately said that was the one, so we booked it. This apartment is beautiful and looks even better in person. It's super charming and very roomy, which is rare in Edinburgh. The location is perfect, just steps away from so many places for coffee and food, with a Boots just up the road a few steps as well. We went in the middle of the tourist season, so there was some noise at night, but nothing out of the ordinary or unexpected for being so close to everything. Eliana was a fantastic host. She was super communicative and very proactive in reaching out to make sure our check-in and check-out were seamless. Overall, everything helped me give my daughter the special trip that I was hoping for and she has requested that we stay here again the next time we visit. Thank you again, Eliana!
