Fabulous place to stay :)

we spent 12 days in this beautifully appointed villa. outdoor space with view over canyon is spectacular and we enjoyed sunsets and the sounds of birdsong and sheep bells. the pool is great as is the bbq area. we visited local sights and some further afield such as knossos. you really need a car to get around and be prepared for journeys to take some time. knossos well over an hour. people in the village were very friendly. we were given some cheese by the lady in the supermarket as you enter the village from the villa. we had free drinks at the store by the main taverna! Margarites is a nice place to spend time, browsing the pottery shops and enjoying the tavernas.

Everyone should book this place! The views you see as you enter are astonishing. Federico was so so helpful throughout the trip, providing local products and recommending places that you wouldn’t find in any guide book. I’m already telling all of my friends and family they need to book this place.

A little piece of paradise We had an unforgettable stay as a couple in this beautiful apartment in Agia Pelagia. Every morning started with breakfast under the bougainvillea, watching the sunrise over the sea – absolutely magical. Just a few steps and we were swimming in crystal-clear water. Pure bliss! The apartment is stylish, spotless, and well-equipped with all essentials like soap, detergent, and toilet paper. The kitchen allowed us to prepare meals comfortably and had all the necessary utensils. A lovely surprise was the thoughtful welcome gift: coffee, wine, fruit, cookies, and water – such a kind gesture. Shops are just minutes away on foot, and everything was super convenient. We truly felt at home and appreciated the care the hosts put into every detail. We’re already dreaming of coming back! Thank you for everything!

We traveled with friends and babies (a total of 4 adults and 2 babies (8&10 months old)) to the villa to Savas & Maria and the villa was fantastically beautiful (even more beautiful than in the photos)! For our tour group, the villa was just perfect, we had our peace, could relax and the children had enough space to play on the giant terrace. Savas & Maria kindly provided everything necessary for our kids (crib, baby chairs, a small inflatable pool and plenty of toys). Cleanliness is very important in the villa, the villa was handed over to us in perfect condition! The villa was rounded off in the evening by the overwhelming sunsets! Savas & Maria were extremely communicative, gave us great recommendations and were always available! We would like to express our sincere thanks again for your warmth, hospitality and a fantastic stay! If we come back to Crete, we'll come back to you!

Amazing place, nothing much to add, felt luxurious and the villa is equipped with everything you need. Would definitely return!

Beautiful stay at Villa Marae, exactly as in the pictures the villa is spacious, modern and welcoming with all amenities you could need, we felt right at home for the entire week. All the bedrooms have spacious wardrobes and plenty of hangers, all with en-suite bathrooms, good quality bath towels and beach towels, comfortable beds. The outside space is serene, with views of the ocean and some beautiful sunsets too. Welcomed at the villa by the owner Maria, who shown us around, provided a welcome basket and also some other shopping essentials as we arrived very late. She also met us when leaving to say goodbye with a Cretan gift as souvenir. The personal touch was lovely. Etouri Team are very responsive to queries, recommendations and we found them super helpful. Overall a 5* stay

Our stay at the Moundros luxury villa was a perfect place for the five of us girls to feel like we are at a private retreat. It was easy to get around with a car and the hosts were very helpful when it came to any recommendations. the home was super nice and clean and had the best views. the restaurant down the street is absolutely delicious. Meatballs and stuffed mushrooms were my favorite but you can’t go wrong with anything! We were able to easily explore the other parts of Crete and got the best of the mountain side and the city side. would highly recommend staying in this villa!

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

We loved staying at Petros's place. The location is picture perfect and completely serene, coupled with the stunning views - perfect getaway gem. The villa is beautifully designed with lots of places to explore and hang out in. Petros is very accommodating and all around helpful from assisting us in setting up the outdoor speakers to offering to make restaurant reservations on our behalf. We had an absolutely amazing time and hope to stay at the villa again when we come back to Crete. Highly recommend!

This is a 10/10 Villa. We have travelled a lot and this is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children aged 2, 4, 9 and 11). The views are stunning, the pool is big, all the rooms have private bathroom. Jacuzzi is also perfect for when the sun goes down! Theo was a wonderful host helping us, giving good recommendations and suprising as with some nice gestures. This Villa really is a Gem as the name suggests. As for the surroundings - it is 100% private! For me the best part was that there is a nice local village to walk to every night. There are some amazing Tavernas/Restaurants with delicious food and reasonable prices (also a mini-market). There is also a nice beach with a good restaurant and a nice cozy beach bar - it is only a 10 minute walk from the villa. And if you rent a car then it is a 10 minute ride to the Rethymnon old town, which is also a very nice place with lots of shops and restaurants. The Villa was worth every euro!

We had an incredible stay with our family. The photos do not do it justice. It’s so beautiful and so peaceful. There were many lovely welcome food and drinks that we really appreciated. We had many activities and family in the area so we were out and about but were always looking forward to coming back to enjoy the house, the pool, and the gorgeous view. We also loved the hot tub when we got a little chilled from swimming since it was a bit early in season. We made sure to have a day to just do that. We used the indoor/outdoor theatre one night and that was really fun. All the rooms and the kitchen were perfectly appointed. Everything was so well thought out. We can’t wait to come again and stay longer and have time to use the outdoor kitchen, the gorgeous dining room and enjoy the beautiful pool and view again. Thank you Evi for an incredible stay at this beautiful house!

We only have positive things to say about our stay at this Villa! Manolis and Zania were extremely friendly, helpful and were gracious enough to greet us upon arrival. They even filled the refrigerator with groceries for us. Everything was as advertised on the website . We loved swimming in the pool, played ping-pong and basketball almost every day . Each room had one large TV, a comfortable bed, fresh clean linens and large windows with a view of the beautiful yard. We also loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer. Everything was also within proximity; from beaches to Rethymno city centre, supermarkets and local taverns . We would highly recommend this Airbnb to any large group of people staying in Crete. This definitely won’t be the last time we stay at this villa. Thanks again Manoli and Zania for making our vacation unforgettable. Till next time!

5 Star Villa with a 5 Star Service! It was just amazing.

Great family stay at Villa Aerin! We were 6 (3 couples) and were each able to have our space, while enjoying large common areas (living room and outdoor). The house is located very quiet (very removed from the city), it is well equipped and very clean / recent. Maria (from the concierge) was just perfect! Very accommodating, very kind, very available, THANK YOU! The bad weather and temperature (early May) unfortunately didn't allow us to enjoy the pool, but it was very clean and really appealing. Only downside: being quiet very often means being a little away from the cities: Rethymno (the nearest big city) is about 20-30 min drive away. For groceries, you just have to get organized so you don't have to go there every day.

Super sweet people. Everything was well arranged. Despite the sandstorm, they really gave a top service. We even got pizza as an apology, while they couldn't do anything about it. Very sweet. Definitely a villa to go to sometime.

A fantastic house with wonderful sea views and all the comforts! Tastefully decorated with good quality both indoors and outdoors. Very private location without visibility. Lovely balcony with pool, parasols and outdoor furniture. We were personally received in the house at the appointed time and were given a tour of the house and all its features, as well as a basket of specialties from Crete. Walking distance about 5-10 minutes to Plakias with shops and restaurants. The only thing we wished for was a few more hooks to hang clothes on.

We had a very pleasant holiday here with the family. The villa is exactly as described, it is even more beautiful in person. A private large swimming pool with a shallow section for children and a heated hot tub. In previous reviews, the most important things have probably already been said, but we especially appreciated the fact that each room has its own toilet and shower and the terrace has a water dispenser, so there is no need to buy bottled water. The apartment was really clean and the rent includes intermediate cleaning. A car is mandatory. We couldn't think of a nicer place to spend a holiday with the family. Valia and the Thinkville team handled everything in a very professional and friendly manner. Margareta took care of us throughout our holiday. We are fortunate to have found this wool.

I have stayed at 50+ AirBnbs across the world, and I can honestly say the hospitality we received here was the best I have ever experienced. This villa is exceptional, and the photos don’t do it justice. We stayed for a week or so with a young family, and had a blast. Alexandros and his family are lovely people, and tended to our every need. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough.

The Villa is absolutely stunning it had everything you could possibly want, very clean and spacious with all quality modern fixtures and fittings throughout. My children especially loved the pool and hot tub which were cleaned throughout the week. The area was nice and peaceful very close to the beach, had restaurants and a super market within walking distance. About a 10 minute cab ride to plenty more bars and restaurants. The host was lovely very welcoming, she was there to meet us on arrival, was very approachable always contactable and very knowledgeable about the local area. The host couldn’t do enough for you even stocking the fridge with some essential groceries which I thought was very nice touch. Even brought us a handmade gift when we were leaving which was so thoughtful. Would definitely use this Villa again and would recommend to anyone.
