This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights during our time in Crete and absolutely fell in love with the place. The home is so cozy and has everything you need from the moment you walk in. Maria was super helpful and made sure we had what we needed for a comfortable stay. Set in a rustic village with amazing views of the skyline, this place is one you should book for sure. Super close to the town of Rethymno, with many shops, restaurants, and beaches a short drive away.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour, la maison est hyper bien équipée on ne manque de rien, le jardin magnifique, l’environnement autour l’est tout autant! La famille de l’hôte est d’une incroyable gentillesse, mention spéciale à sa maman qui nous a littéralement gâté! Des petites attentions au quotidien (spécialités locales faites maison), rencontre avec les animaux de leur ferme. Quand nous sommes arrivés, dans le frigo il y avait des œufs de leurs poules, des oranges du jardin, des légumes et du vin maison… merci pour ce moment de déconnexion hors du temps, et pour la gentillesse envers notre fille. Si nous sommes de retour en crête nous reviendrons c’est sure!

We had a lovely stay in Crete! Our villa was so peaceful. You hardly hear any outside life. You most certainly need a car especially if you plan on moving around to see different things. The water pressure in the bathroom was amazing! The house had amazing views. Some of the best sunsets we saw. The housekeeper was always on hand for whatever you needed and responded really quickly. Overall an amazing stay.

This place creatively incorporates the historic parts of an olive mill with contemporary design. It was roomy and had everything we needed, but a minor thing, body wash would have been nice. Met the owner who was very nice and gracious. Loved being able to walk to 3 different great restaurants, a market, pharmacy and close proximity to Rethymno. It is strategically located between Chania and Heraklion, too. Definitely recommended!

We had a wonderful, peaceful & relaxing week in this beautiful house. Amazing location, stylish, spacious, comfortable & very well-equipped. It’s 3 minutes from the small town of Sellia (3 or 4 nice traditional restaurants & small but useful supermarket), 10 minutes from the bigger (seaside town) of Plakias (many restaurants, 2 big supermarkets, butcher & baker), yet out on its own: utterly quiet & private and with beautiful, uninterrupted views of the sea. Cordula - who created this fabulous place, from ground up & with incredible attention to detail, is a perfect host. She couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful: at all stages proactive, quick & very clear communication and always concerned about our convenience & comfort. Our flight time meant we didn’t arrive until 8pm & Cordula offered to order & collect food from one of the excellent local restaurants & keep it warm in the oven, so after a long & tiring journey our holiday started straightaway. We would love to return.

Das tolle Haus, mit dem Pool befindet sich in einer unglaublich schönen, ruhigen Umgebung. Man ist sehr privat. Wir ( 6 Personen) haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Die Fotos sind real. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich mit frischem Obst, besonders lecker die Zitronen, und frischem Wasser. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Es ist ein Luxus, dass jedes Schlafzimmer ein eigenes Bad hat. Der Ausblick ist fantastisch, ebenso der Sternenhimmel jede Nacht. Restaurants sind in 10 min zu Fuß schnell zu erreichen. Christos und Giorgos sind sehr herzliche Gastgeber. Die Kommunikation war schnell und unkompliziert. Ein wirklich schöner Urlaub zum abschalten und genießen.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful villa! The house is truly luxurious, in perfect condition, and tastefully designed with great attention to detail. The layout of the rooms is simply brilliant — spacious, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. The heated pool was one of our favorite features — always at the perfect temperature to cool down and unwind at any time of the day. The location couldn’t be better: just a few minutes’ walk to the beach, where you’ll find plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and shops. A very special thank you to our amazing hosts! They were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always just a message away. Every little question or request was answered within minutes — we felt truly taken care of from the very first moment. Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. Beatiful view and nice downstairs appartment with own pool and yard. Parking lot had always room for our car. From parking lot there are deep stairs down to the appartments yard. We came late in evening and it was little bit difficult to get in without light on the appartment door. Pool was great for swimming and view fo Chania and sea bay just amazing. If you have lot of electronic devices with you, take a power strip with you. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet during our stay in April. Really nice place to relax and enjoy life.

Book this Airbnb. Do not think twice. Nice to be greeted with wine and snacks after the flight over. 3 styles of coffee makers with coffee. Sugar, spices, olive oil and balsamic to get you started. 4 bedroom 3 full baths. Great living and cooking areas. Very spacious for our group of 7. Clean and comfortable. Equipped with everything you could ask for. We made a few terrific meals with the grill and kitchen equipment. Harilao has put a lot of thought and planning in to his home. Gorgeous outdoor space with heated pool. Indoors is clean and uncluttered. The views are lovely. 1 minute on walk up the street to fresh bread daily and cute market. 3 minute walk down the street is a bigger market. 4 minute walk to my favorite beach. 8 Euro for 2 chairs and an umbrella. Bar right there if you want a drink. Walk to coffee, pastries, restaurants and bars near by. We loved the home and beach so much that we slipped a few day trips. 5 stars. I hope to come back! This is a 10/10 Villa. We have travelled a lot and this is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children aged 2, 4, 9 and 11). The views are stunning, the pool is big, all the rooms have private bathroom. Jacuzzi is also perfect for when the sun goes down! Theo was a wonderful host helping us, giving good recommendations and suprising as with some nice gestures. This Villa really is a Gem as the name suggests. As for the surroundings - it is 100% private! For me the best part was that there is a nice local village to walk to every night. There are some amazing Tavernas/Restaurants with delicious food and reasonable prices (also a mini-market). There is also a nice beach with a good restaurant and a nice cozy beach bar - it is only a 10 minute walk from the villa. And if you rent a car then it is a 10 minute ride to the Rethymnon old town, which is also a very nice place with lots of shops and restaurants. The Villa was worth every euro!

The house is simply gorgeous. Our family had a wonderful Christmas holiday here. The host was very generous with items in the refrigerator and a well stocked kitchen. Lots of recommendations of places to eat in the area. Michael met us in the driveway upon arrival and showed us everything in the house, that was very kind. Especially loved access to the washer and dryer because we were traveling with kids. It was too cold to use the pool, but if you are here when it is warm, it would be such delight.

Georgios and Tanja's place is beautiful - a tranquil haven in a lovely village nestled up in the hills but only a few minutes' drive from the coast. Our experience was exceptional from the outset, with Tanja being very accommodating of our late check-in (due to the late arrival of our flight) and welcoming us warmly on arrival. She offered us suggestions for things to do and places to eat during our stay and graciously allowed us a late check-out as well - again due to the late departure of our flights. The house itself is fantastic, beautifully appointed and with a lovely view of the valley. Kournas is a very picturesque village and the food at the local tavernas is fabulous, although the kitchen in the house has everything you need to cook should you wish to. I can't recommend Georgio and Tanja's place enough for a place to stay in Crete. Hopefully we'll make it back one day!

We had the most dreamy of times at the villa! Maria gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home right away. We loved her hospitality and proactive hosting, giving us tips and recommendations of places to visit in the area. The place provided everything one could wish for, from pristine looking rooms to hammam showers, a fine gas bbq and shaded terrace, glorious swimming pool, comfy sofa and a kitchen chefs would enjoy. The surroundings are to die for. Sinuous roads and endless sea views, unique beaches, but also mountain hikes, gorges and wine tastings not far at all (car is a must). Closest taverna has delicious food. Agia Galini is a short drive away and offers all essentials should you need to shop, eat out, find an atm or go on a fishing boat trip. Thanks again for a fantastic stay! We will be back sooner than later!

We had an incredible stay with our family. The photos do not do it justice. It’s so beautiful and so peaceful. There were many lovely welcome food and drinks that we really appreciated. We had many activities and family in the area so we were out and about but were always looking forward to coming back to enjoy the house, the pool, and the gorgeous view. We also loved the hot tub when we got a little chilled from swimming since it was a bit early in season. We made sure to have a day to just do that. We used the indoor/outdoor theatre one night and that was really fun. All the rooms and the kitchen were perfectly appointed. Everything was so well thought out. We can’t wait to come again and stay longer and have time to use the outdoor kitchen, the gorgeous dining room and enjoy the beautiful pool and view again. Thank you Evi for an incredible stay at this beautiful house!

Séjour exceptionnel, la villa est dans un état impeccable et d’une propreté irréprochable. Les hôtes sont disponibles, réactifs et aux petits soins. L’emplacement de la villa est idéalement situé à proximité d’un village avec toutes les commodités. Les plages sont à quelques minutes en voiture. La piscine est magnifique et très bien entretenue. Nous reviendrons volontiers et sans hésitation chez Xristos et Yianna.

We had an excellent stay at Villa Logari. Beautiful home that looked just like the photos. Host was extremely responsive and hospitality was top notch… the daily breakfast basket is an amazing touch. The villa is in Xirosterni which is a bit off the beaten path but is charming and we were able to explore the local area as well as travel to both Chania and Rethymno which are each around 45 minutes away. Would definitely return!

This is a spectacular villa and easily matches the photos. One unexpected feature was that one of the two pools was shallow for the kids. That meant they could stand by themselves and they would play in it all day. The adults loved just lying in it too! Nikos was a great host. He welcomed us on to the property and was extremely responsive with our questions. He even delivered extra pool toys and Greek treats during our stay. The area is very private with a short drive to supermarkets and some classic waterfront restaurants. It’s also convenient to get to Chania airport. We loved our stay here as two families, it exceeded our expectations and would strongly recommend.

I cannot recommend this beautiful villa highly enough. We had a wonderful week long stay and it felt like home from home. The villa is very private, set back from the road and has the most stunning view and surroundings. It is very well equipped, and we had everything we needed. The pool is absolutely amazing - our children practically lived in it! There is also the dining area and sofa under the veranda, where you can relax in the afternoon heat and take in the amazing views. Mike was an exceptional host - he was very responsive and helpful and gave us lots of tips of places to visit and restaurant recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble. The villa is located a short drive from Almyrida, which has a beautiful beach and several fantastic restaurants that are right on the sea front - amazing views when enjoying your evening meal. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and we definitely hope to return one day!

Nikos was an excellent host! He brought us fresh goodies and made sure we had everything needed. The home is beautiful and exactly has pictured. I recommend renting a car if you stay here as it is quite desolate location and not walkable to restaurants/shops.

Wir waren 14 Tage im Ferienhaus und hatten eine tolle Zeit. Das Haus liegt in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend- prima um entspannt Urlaub zu machen. Wir waren mit zwei Kindern dort und Caroline hatte extra ein Babybett und einen Kinderstuhl gestellt. Das Haus war sehr sauber und der Pool wunderschön. Auch die Kommunikation war problemlos. Wir empfehlen das Haus uneingeschränkt weiter.

Stayed at Villa Longhouse with my wife. What a place! So peaceful/private and the house is equipped with all you need for a relaxing break. Would be great for big groups too. Kitchen is well stocked, and there’s an outdoor wood oven/bbq with plenty of fire wood. We made use of the gym equipment, sauna and well-sheltered pool too, and loved the amazing gardens. You need a car here as it’s not in walking distance of any amenities really. Karolina sent a list of recommendations which was gratefully received. Very quick to respond to any queries and the villa itself was easy to find from the directions.
