This place is convenient to old town. It can be a bit noisy with motorcycle noise during the day. The reasonable price has this built in. Great base for exploring. If you are not able to handle stairs, this is not for you. Perfect for a young couple. Idalina was a great host and responded quickly to our messages.

This is a fantastic apartment home. The place looks like in the pictures, with 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Very large kitchen with all appliances and a peaceful backyard with morning sunshine. A very peaceful place near the top of a mountain with easy access to beautiful hiking places just a short drive away. The home is in FAIAL which is the best area for hiking and lookouts places. Also the best value in all Madeira. This area is the best for nature lovers and away from the more expensive places in Funchal. I’m definitely returning in the future. By the way, Marco is a great host, very proactive, with a lot of suggestions on places to go.

My stay in Madeira was so enjoyable while staying at Carolyn's place. The location is amazing with a breathtaking view—the kind of view you never get tired of admiring with a good coffee in the morning on the balcony. I loved how everything in the village was close by. The area is extremely safe. The accommodation is super clean and well-equipped! Carolyn was quick to respond to our questions and incredibly friendly. She made us feel right at home. I would recommend Carolyn’s place to everyone without hesitation.

Great place to stay in the north of the island. Very clean and tidy. Good location on the outskirts of Santanas. Direct location above a small bar - unfortunately a bit noisy in the morning when the first locals arrive and talk loudly (bedroom directly above the bar). You can conveniently park in front of the accommodation. Kitchen: well equipped - we would have liked a few spices and a kitchen towel. If you buy all that and don't use it, it's a shame. We left our rest there.
