The Garden Retreat

The Garden Retreat is a self contained dwelling, at the end of our garden. In a quiet residential area of Dorchester, in the summer there may be some noise from the surrounding gardens. Access from the road, leads directly to the Garden Retreat. We are in easy walking distance (about 10 minutes) from the centre of Dorchester. here you will find Cafes, restaurants and shops Dorchester is an historic town, with many place of interest. No Visitors. No smoking or vaping, on the premises. No pets.

Little Barn is a cosy dwelling in a remote valley

Little Barn is located in a remote valley between Upwey and Portesham near Weymouth in Dorset A converted Barn with a modern open plan interior. An adequate garden with Outdoor furniture and BBQ with an external secure store for bicycles etc. The area is good for walking (dogs welcome), many footpaths line the surrounding countryside. Hardy's monument is situated a few miles away. The area offers good cycling both on and off road. Good access to the Dorset coastline which is a short drive away.

The Old Reading Room West Stafford

The Victorian Reading Room of West Stafford is of historical importance. Used before the war as a Reading Room for the villagers and estate workers, the newspapers were provided, the village shop in the late 1930s, then a workshop and a store room for the church. We have now lovingly restored, decorated and furnished this amazing building into a cosy self catering holiday retreat, "far from the madding crowd" Open plan, comfy double sofabed, wood burner, country walks and fabulous village pub.

A cosy and private converted shed at the bottom of a south-facing garden of a Victorian house. Situated at the heart of the historic county town of Dorchester. It is in walking distance of restaurants, shops, museums and traditional pubs with live music. It is conveniently located only minutes away from train and bus links which allow our guests to see the breath-taking and beautiful sites along the Jurassic Coast as well as offering direct trains to London, Bristol and other major cities.

The towns amenities are all within a short walking distance, including the new 'Brewery Square' development. Great base to explore Dorset's fabulous coast, countryside and walk in the footsteps of Thomas Hardy's Casterbridge. Motorbike friendly, high chair & travel cot available. Welcome to our bright studio with gated off-road parking and free fibre (76mbps) wi-fi. We welcome all to enjoy a stay in Dorset. We are a ten minute walk from the station, Poundbury and Brewery Square. Our newly renovated studio has an inviting interior, a rainfall shower and dedicated office space. No 11 is a beautiful cosy cottage situated on a village green opposite the church. Surrounded by plenty of stunning countryside walks, historic towns, village pubs with the Jurassic coast only a few minutes drive away,. There is lots to explore whether you want a relaxing countryside escape, visits to museums, places from Thomas Hardy’s novels or stunning coastal walks. There is a large enclosed garden at the rear and is a 4 minute walk into town which has good train and bus links.

Troytown Farm Bespoke Shepherd's Hut

A bespoke shepherd's hut, made by a local craftsman residing on rolling pasture of a forgotten turf maze and meeting place lost in time. Welcome to the first Troytown shepherd's hut, completed in June 2023. Located on Dorset's famous Jurassic Coastline it is the perfect base for exploring sandy beaches, historic monuments and plentiful walks in nearby Puddletown Forest. Enjoy an off grid experience with views of ancient woodland and sheep grazed pasture.
