Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Formigny La Bataille

The house is located in a quiet subdivision in an ideal strategic position if you want to focus on the activities/museums of the landing, American side: 15 min walk from Omaha Beach and a little less from the museum, and then within a 10 min drive of the other museums (Overlord, D Day, American cemetery). The house is on one level, spacious, and soberly decorated. Its 3 bedrooms with closets, two bathrooms allow a welcome of a large family without problem. Kitchen is functional. The garden is very well maintained and very large. You can eat outside in a sheltered area. The wifi, on the other hand, is not very operational. We used our networks in the end. We had a small technical incident that was immediately resolved the morning after our late arrival. Hosts are concerned with receiving well, it's important.

We had a fantastic stay! The place was spotless and perfectly balanced, spacious yet cosy, so we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Our child loved the toys provided, and our dog enjoyed the big garden. We especially appreciated the beautiful palm trees in the garden, creating the perfect spot to sit out and relax. The location was ideal, just a 10 minute walk to the beach, fish market, and great restaurants. We loved everything about our stay and would definitely stay again

It was an absolute pleasure to stay with Robin! We were 3 families and everyone had their own kingdom From beginning to end, the communication was excellent and he was incredibly helpful and accommodating. It is particularly noteworthy that Robin provided us with shower mats - a small gesture, but one that shows how attentive he is and how important the comfort of the guests is to him. Thanks to Robin's friendly and helpful manner, we immediately felt at home. We can fully recommend this accommodation and Robin as a host and would be happy to come back anytime!

I highly recommend this place for a couple or an adult with a child /teenager and if you have a dog. Anne and her mom are very responsive and attentive. The accommodation is really very clean and full of small things that are usually missing in rentals and it makes the difference: some cleaning products, clean and undamaged equipment for cleaning, some kitchen utensils like a small raclette machine, a beater,... in short, you absolutely don't feel destitute or lost if you decide to cook. It feels like home. The property is large and fenced. You can get your vehicle in. The only downside was the difficulty of finding a nearby bakery for good fresh croissants in the morning and the lack of understanding of the opening hours of the brewery next door. Otherwise, nothing to say if you don't hesitate to rent.

As others have mentioned this is an excellent holiday flat and superb base from which to explore Normandy and the beautiful city of Caen. The flat is clean, comfortable and is very well equipped for self-catering though the nearby town center bars and restaurants may tempt you out at little more that you planned. Highlights include secure and convenient parking, excellent bathroom and shower, comfortable bed and the bonus of a lovely private garden to kick back while sampling the local calvados in the evening. As mentioned the flat is very central with a five minute walk into the center for fresh bread and croissants in the morning. Caen itself is full of surprises with beautiful churches and abbeys combined with a very laid back atmosphere. Though we did not meet Christine her ongoing communication was both discrete and charming. Book you wont regret it. 5 stars all round

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Milene’s place. It was so clean, just as pictured, plenty of coffee, comfortable beds. We could not have found a better place to stay. Conveniently and centrally located with great restaurants and attractions nearby. I would totally recommend!!

The apt. was clean, and well equipped. Parking spot right in front is a bonus as is an outdoor seating area and washer/dryer in back. Walking distance to everything. An FYI is you will need to clean, including mopping or pay a $15e fee. Not a problem, just good to know.

Superbly well located accommodation, close to all shops and restaurants but also to the historical sites of the region. It's even more spacious than we thought, and the view of the harbor and beach is exceptional. We are very satisfied with our week-long stay here!

THE BEST housing we have made ☺️ We had a great stay in this very clean, well-appointed and perfectly functional accommodation. There was absolutely everything you needed and even more, to feel at home. The bed is very comfortable and the view from the apartment, directly overlooking the port, is superb. The location is ideal: a stone's throw from the beach, with many restaurants nearby. We particularly enjoyed Le Flot Bleu, an excellent place to discover. The neighborhood is nice, everything can be done on foot, and parking is easy nearby, which is really convenient. Sandrine was very responsive, available and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We recommend this listing without hesitation and will be back with pleasure!

We really enjoyed our stay. The flat was flawlessly cleaned and really comfortable. The bathroom shower is particularly great and we enjoyed the view of town from the balcony and the farms out the back window. The place made for a great home base while we explored some of the surrounding area in Normandy. Would recommend!

We had a great weekend at Frédéric's, the apartment is modern, well laid out, well stocked, nothing was missing! And what about the exceptional location with this balcony and its sea view. All this just a stone's throw from the center. Frédéric always responded very quickly and was very accommodating. We were greeted by Michel on arrival who was very welcoming. We'll be happy to go back!

Pleasant stay at Karin's. Close to the city center and the sea. Nearby shops and a beautiful walk along the coast.

Beautiful views and well-catered. Check in was easy with Katrin who spoke very good English, which was good because our French isn't great! Cabourg itself is lovely and only a 5-10 min walk away.

The accommodation offered by David is tip top! Calm, breathtaking sea views, sunset from the "veranda terrace", a location 20 minutes from Caen that allows you to enjoy the city, the countryside and the seaside! What else can I say? An available host, and finally, a nice decor that adds charm to this romantic weekend on the beaches of Normandy! You can rent with your eyes closed!

We were warmly received. We were shown around and everything was shown to us. The area is very nice and you can do a lot. A walk on the beach is a must. The place is very nice and offers everything you need.

My son and I stayed 2 nights in Yannicks apartment, it has restored my faith in air bnb after a dreadful experience in Paris, the apartment is better than the pictures, the location is 10/10, the apartment was immaculately clean, I slept on the sofa and it was the most comfortable bed I have slept in since arriving in France 1 week ago. The town of Bayeux is the prettiest town I have ever seen and the apartment was 5 minutes walk to everything we needed. THANK YOU for allowing us to stay in your amazing apartment Yannick.

The apartment is superb. It's well equipped. Olivier was very attentive and answered our questions. The place is very nice and is an ideal starting point to visit the beaches of Desembarco and the part of L'Havre. Very close to the beach. I recommend it 100%

Very central, but also quiet. The cathedral is at the bottom of the road, where there is also a good selection of restaurants of differing kinds. The lace museum and art museum are right by the cathedral. Bayeux Tapestry Museum is a few minutes walk away . The main shopping road is also close by. Parking was easy to find and free. Communications with Guy were excellent and very quick responses. We were there Monday to Friday and there is a small market on Wednesday close to the tourist office but the one on Saturday is supposed to be very good. It’s at the top end of the main shopping street. Would highly recommend the apartment. It’s up one flight of stairs.
