The Castrum

The 3-star gîte (CDT 31) is housed in an old 13th century house that overlooks the vast village square and is part of the old medieval castrum (fortified square) whose thickness of certain walls and the embrasures recall the ancient origins of the place. The village is part of the Cocagne region within the "blue gold triangle" connecting Albi, Toulouse and Carcassonne, a region steeped in history related to the culture and flourishing trade of pastel in the 14th century.

The former dovecote of the castle rehabilitated and arranged to welcome you. Between the countries of Cocagne and Lauragais, in a rural setting, several lakes nearby, a real peasant market on Saturday morning in Lavaur, many walks around will take you from Cordes Sur Ciel to the gorges of the Tarn, in the Black Mountain, as well as to Toulouse, located only 25 minutes by car. Air-conditioned, this apartment is ideal for long summer evenings with its sheltered terrace.
