Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Freeland

All the lake amenities were great, as well as the hot tub. Had everything we needed!

This place was pure magic. Tucked into the trees on beautiful Whidbey Island, the property felt like stepping into a fairytale. There’s a trail that winds into what can only be described as an enchanted forest, complete with twinkle lights and towering trees. Our dog had the time of her life, tearing through the woods like Tinkerbell herself had sprinkled fairy dust on her. I’ve never seen zoomies like that! The location was perfect, secluded enough to feel peaceful, but close enough to explore the island with ease. The beds were super comfortable, and the entire home was warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully put together. It truly felt like a home away from home. We left feeling rested, recharged, and already planning our return. I’d recommend this magical retreat to anyone looking to unplug, unwind, and just breathe.

Amazing Puget Sound Get-Away with the family. I brought my family of 6 and we had a fabulous time on Camano Island and at Lori's place. The views, room and accommodations were even BETTER than expected. They had so many little extras like cooking supplies, outdoor fireplace, and soft robes that made us feel both at home and at a luxury stay with incredible views. Easy access to the beach through a nearby trail that took <5 min. Access to the Kayaks was very appreciated and a fun experience for all. I just barely missed crab season (starts July 1), but the fun Camano Island theme was enjoyable throughout the house. Very responsive and good people.

We will definitely be staying here again if we find ourselves in the area again! It was such a cozy and beautiful home. The location is just stunning and it was so special getting to gather around a fire with my family as we watched the sunset over the ocean from the comfort of the home’s back yard.

Part of me wants to say the place is awful, because then it will have more availability for when I want to come back. Because truthfully, it’s stunning. I didn’t want to leave. Gorgeous, well-stocked with spices and cooking oil and the like, plus it’s clean and well taken care of. Incredible views greeting you every hour of the day. Host is communicative but not annoying. Just an absolutely perfect place to stay. Book it. You’ll love it!

The location was private and secluded, the yard looked great, the view was beautiful and amazing! There was enough outdoor furniture for everyone. The kitchen had enough pots and pans and gadgets to make cooking meals possible. We have stayed in places where the kitchen was not equipped for that. There were a good number of blankets and pillows. Thomas responded to my questions pretty fast.

The home was even better than the description and photos. The beds were very comfortable as was all the furniture. It was fun and relaxing on the chair swing for the adults for the few minutes that the kids weren't enjoying it. We also enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and family friendly games. Last, but not least, we were really happy that there was a high chair and pack-and-play on location, so we didn't have to bring our own. We will definitely look to book again on a future trip to Whidbey.

Stayed here with my spouse for a weekend where we were going to a wedding. This was a perfect, peaceful getaway and everything we hoped for. Hope to be back soon!

Peaceful, quiet, clean. Beautiful old house and carriage apartment. This place is the apartment. Everything seemed well-maintained. You need to bring your own coffee/tea and sugar, etc, but we appreciated the bottled drinking water! The door key turns the opposite way you'd expect but opened easily once figured out. The property sits back from the road and you pass through berry bushes and a small pond on the way in. Lovely.

Great place to stay and I'll definitely coming back. Location was right off the street, yet felt very quiet. Being in a dead end has its perks with the low amount of cars the come through. I loved the close trail access, which was the same distance as walking to the legit BBQ spot, street side. The local Safeway supermarket is less than 5 mins away (driving) and other resources the opposite direction. The home was perfect for my family of 4. Nice size rooms with nice sized beds. The place was very clean and the view of the lake is amazing! Tons of channels on the TV was cool and lots of kitchen resources made for non-fast food options. My overall experience was great!

Very comfortable and super clean for our family reunion! We had a family member with a cane/wheelchair, and they felt right at home, safe, and comfortable here. Nice quiet neighborhood, and Nick was a super friendly and proactive host.

Beautiful and Pristine place. We were here to celebrate our anniversary and do the bioluminescence tour at port gamble. I would love to come back. The garden is gorgeous, the view is breathtaking. Christine was a wonderful host. We had no issues at all. The kitchen and the bathroom were all well stocked. They have great collection of books as well, for someone who likes reading.

What a great spot. Laid-back, stylish, and just felt good to be there. George was top-notch—genuine, thoughtful, and made the whole thing effortless. It’s rare to find a stay that hits the sweet spot like this one does. I’d come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for something with a little heart and a lot of good vibes.

Our family came to visit us in north Kitsap and we appreciated the clean and quiet accommodations between Kingston and Port Gamble. They enjoyed the nearby day trips to Point No Point lighthouse and beach, Port Gamble’s quaint downtown and White Horse Golf Course. The beach access was a plus, but the kayaks available were a little far from the beach - a series of steps, etc. so we passed on that. We were able to use the firewood that the host provided at the beach, so we were very happy with the experience we had. All-in-all, a lovely spot to stay!

We had a lovely stay here and enjoyed the views. It's an ideal location for visiting Fort Casey and Coupeville. The beds are comfy and there is plenty of hot water!

We had such an amazing, relaxing, and peaceful stay at this little cabin on the lake. Wayne and family were all wonderful and the pups made us feel right at home. If you like lake views out everywindow, cozy fires, sitting in the hot tub as you watch the sun set, and loving on some pups then this the spot for you. It's small. It's comfortable. It's got everything you need and the hosts are lovely. We loved this spot so much we just booked our next visit. See you guys soon!

We had a wonderful visit and enjoyed the breathtaking views. Julie and Peter have a wonderful vacation spot with everything we needed. Such a thrill watching and listening to the waves crashing into the shoreline. We would highly recommend their clean and comfortable home, and hope to visit again someday!

Christa’s house was an amazing place to stay. The location was perfect for us, and the accommodation was charming and quaint. We would stay again on our next trip to Stanwood.

Heartsease Cabin was a beautiful, comfortable place to stay. Very kid friendly- an excellent place for a family to stay! Everything was as described in the listing. The neighborhood and island are beautiful and had everything we needed or wanted. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back! Denise was super friendly and communicative.

My friend and I stayed here for a girls trip and it was perfect! The historic cabin is cozy, cute, and equipped with everything you need for a peaceful getaway. When we weren’t at the cabin relaxing we enjoyed being able to exploring downtown Port Townsend. Darrell and Carlene made us feel welcome and excited to share their beautiful cabin. I highly recommend staying here and plan to be back!

The house is super cute! I loved the feel of the place, and appreciated the artsy details. At midnight I saw the moon leaving a glowing trail over the water - magical. Research your driving route - driving from the north end of the island to the cabin requires a significant investment of time. Maybe its better for longer stays? I was only there 3 nights.

Our stay at Discovery Bay Lookout was an absolute dream—one of our favorite Airbnbs to date, and we travel often! The location is perfect if you’re looking to reconnect with nature. It felt secluded and peaceful, yet was just a short drive to groceries and restaurants. The cabin is magical—beautifully designed, warm, and thoughtfully organized. We loved cooking in the kitchen, reading in cozy nooks, and soaking in the hot tub and sauna while taking in the views. We traveled with two small kids, and Virginia went above and beyond by providing a high chair, toddler dishes, and so many thoughtful touches throughout. Her hospitality truly set this stay apart. We left feeling inspired and dreaming of owning a place like this one day. Until then, we hope to return. Don’t hesitate to book—just be sure to take great care of this special place so others can enjoy it too.

We had a lovely weekend at the cabin! We arrived and immediately could breathe - the peaceful feeling of privacy, the numerous forest animals and birds greeted us with their songs and cuteness, and the cabin encouraged simplicity and quality time.
