Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Furnas

The location in Furnas was perfect both for exploring Furnas and for day trips outside of Furnas. The kitchen was well equipped and clean with a private patio and garden to enjoy a morning coffee. The home itself was comfortable easily absorbing a group of 8 and the bedrooms were clean and had comfortable beds and pillows. Even beach towels were provided for the spa experience. We had to adjust our arrival time and the hosts were pleasant and accommodating. (A very thoughtful welcome basket awaited us.) All in all, we all enjoyed our stay and felt like we picked the perfect spot full of Azore ambiance!

If you go to Sao Miguel, STAY HERE! The views alone make it totally worth it. The house is absolutely stunning, The beds were so comfortable, snacks were left for us, the house is stocked with everything you could want in a home stay but most importantly the reception from Welcome Buddy and the house owner brought this house to perfection. We had some bad luck with flights being cancelled and had to forgo part of our trip. The hosts were accommodating to our new plans in the most generous way. It was my daughters 25th birthday and they arranged a party with a chef and decorations for the most gorgeous wonderful dinner from the highest rated chef on the island. The weather was a big bummer for us but having this house and these people here made up for all of the weather. The island (at least when we went) is very humid so bring clothes that dry quickly. We will return to this house when we go back to Sao Miguel.

Très bon séjour. La vue et la disposition de la maison qui permet de profiter de la vue de partout sont vraiment le point fort de ce gîte. C'est aussi très agréable de pouvoir accéder à pied à toutes les activités que propose cette belle ville de Furnas. Merci aussi à José Maria toujours attentif et proactif.

We had a fantastic stay at Tara & Edmundo’s place - the house was incredibly cosy, beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. A highlight was definitely enjoying our breakfast in the garden which overlooks the ocean. Tara was incredibly easy to communicate with and always replied quickly to any questions we had. She provided detailed instructions prior to our arrival, which made check-in a quick and easy process. A real treasure of a place that made our amazing trip to the Azores even better.

Wonderful location! The house is just steps away from Terra Nostra Botanical Garden and its famous thermal pools. Enjoying an evening cocktail at Terra Nostra while strolling through the beautifully illuminated gardens was truly magical! The nearby public parking was convenient, though we rarely needed the car—Furnas is incredibly walkable, with shops and restaurants just a short stroll away. The house itself is well-equipped and even features a charming little garden out back. For our family of four, it was the perfect getaway. Obrigado!

Una estancia perfecta en Casa Lola Hemos pasado unos días maravillosos en Casa Lola. La casa está equipada con todas las comodidades, muy cuidada y pensada para relajarse. Sin duda, uno de sus grandes puntos fuertes es la piscina termal privada, un auténtico lujo que hemos disfrutado cada día. Desde nuestra llegada, la atención ha sido excelente, y queremos destacar especialmente la amabilidad y cortesía de Roberto, siempre disponible y atento a cualquier detalle. Como bienvenida, nos sorprendieron con una cesta muy completa de productos locales, todo un gesto que dice mucho de la hospitalidad del lugar. Una experiencia absolutamente recomendable para quienes buscan descansar, disfrutar del entorno de Furnas y sentirse como en casa.

Don’t hesitate to book this lovely apartment. The view is heavenly, and Miguel goes above and beyond to be an excellent host (lots of treats left for guests, excellent communication, and very flexible). The location is wonderful. Although Moinhos itself is very small, it boasts a few restaurants/cafes, a gorgeous beach, and a wonderful waterfall hike - all without getting in your car (which you can park right outside the apartment door). Nearby Ribiera grande has everything you will need (groceries, gas etc) and the northern coast is the best for scenic views, hikes, and locals who are very friendly. This is our second time staying at Miguel’s place and it just seems to keep getting better (which is weird as we thought it was perfect in 2023). Enjoy your stay! Tolles und gemütliches Apartment. Man fühlt sich gleich wie zu Hause und der Garten ist einfach traumhaft. wir wurden von Alex äußerst freundlich empfangen. Er hat uns gleich durch den gesamten Garten geführt. Unbedingt das angrenzende Restaurant ausprobieren, ausgezeichnetes Essen und toller Service. Vielen Dank :)

Great view from the balcony, nice spot to have breakfast or an afternoon beverage. Beach is great…unless it is really windy and the waves are rolling in hard.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft von Baptiste. Check-in und Check-out hat super funktioniert. Die Unterkunft ist etwas hellhörig, man hört die Autos von der Straße, aber es fahren vor allem nachts kaum Autos lang. Der Pool ist super und sogar beheizt. Die Lage eignet sich super, um mit dem Auto die Insel zu erkunden. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt :).

De hosts waren erg vriendelijk en gaven goede tips voor over het hele eiland! Het appartement zelf is ook mooi en aan alles is gedacht. Kleine dingen als een wasmand, strandhanddoek, een dekentje en een fruitmandje laten het meteen voelen als een thuis!

Het appartement is een prettige en gezellige plek midden in Ponta Delgada en op loopafstand van alles wat je nodig hebt tijdens je verblijf. De host reageerde snel op eventuele vragen. Wij komen graag terug als we weer naar Ponta Delgada komen.

This place is amazing! It’s close to everything, and it’s easy to drive to all the island. This location is a must-stay! I’ll definitely stay again.

This was our first experience with Airbnb and we were not disappointed. Andre and his team made our experience memorable, so much so that we’ll definitely travel this way again. Aldina was very responsive and welcomed us in the best way with a delicious cake and tea. We were exhausted and she did her best to give us access to our home as early as possible. The condo is beautifully furnished and we didn’t miss anything.being Canadian, it was very convenient to have the instructions to use certain appliances as different from ours. Having access to a garage was a big plus for us! The condo is also conveniently located. We highly recommend this unique place and wonderful host.

Fantastic place with lots of space. Fully stocked kitchen, convenient parking, and very clean. Claudia was very responsive and helpful with all of our needs.

This was a very well situated home that felt private and secure. The unit was bright and clean. The kitchen was stocked with basics needed. The bathrooms were clean and modern with plenty of toilet paper (could have used tissues). We were given 2 towels (one for home and one for beach/water activities) and a hand towel. I would have liked an extra towel for the week long stay. Storage in the bedrooms was great and loved the room darkening blinds! I personally felt the beds were too firm. The couch was equally as firm. For 2 people, the living room furniture was adequate but if you’re a group of 4 or more, there isn’t enough seating. The dining table seats plenty! The balcony furniture was great and my son loved lounging in the hammock and enjoying the surrounding beauty. The beach is literally a 5 minute walk with a decent restaurant on the beach. A rental car is a necessity to get around. Being centrally located meant easy access to all the island has to offer. Great stay!

Gostámos muito da nossa estadia nesta casa! Sentimo-nos bem recebidos desde o início e a casa tem tudo o que é necessário para uma estadia confortável. Houve uma pequena situação durante a nossa estadia, nada relacionado com a casa ou com os anfitriões, mas ainda assim foram super rápidos e atenciosos a ajudar, o que agradecemos imenso. A localização também é bastante boa: conseguimos chegar facilmente a pé ao que precisávamos. É preciso caminhar um pouco, mas faz-se bem. No geral, foi uma ótima experiência e recomendamos sem hesitar. Obrigado por tudo!

Such a bargain for a delightfully decorated apartment with an incredible view and a hot tub on the terrace!!! The area was peaceful and stunning and the apartment had everything you could need! Definitely recommend :)
