Staying with Olga is the best decision I could have made, especially as a first-time traveller in Johannesburg! The cottage is well-kept, organized, spacious, and has everything you could need. Olga herself is so welcoming and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. She showed me around the area and gave me essential tips that I used throughout my stay. Olga is a fast and reliable communicator. She made herself available to answer my questions and concerns. She never intruded or imposed, so if you are looking for more privacy, you will find it here. The cottage is located in a very secure community, with easy access to Melrose Arch, Rosebank, and all the tourist sites. They also have an adorable dog that was wonderful for company and added safety. There is much more I could say about staying with Olga. All positive! If you're looking for a safe stay in Joburg with a knowledgeable and incredibly caring host, stay with Olga!

We would like to first say Thank You to Celia and Jan for allowing us to stay at their beautiful Bird House Cottage. This place has everything you need and if there is something you are needing they will get it. We highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place to stay in Centurion. It’s in a lovely neighborhood and only a few minutes to the grocery store, mall, and gas station. Celia and Jan are exceptionally nice and have a heart of gold!! Guy & Tanya’s cottage was the perfect landing place for my first visit to South Africa as a Black & trans American writer. The quiet, sunlit mornings with birdsong helped me focus on reading & writing. The steep hill & stairs around the cottage got me back into lifestyle physical activity, which I appreciated. Everyone I interacted with, from the vigilant staff at the entrance gate to the warm neighbor & proficient housekeeper, added to the sense of comfort & safety. When I had an issue with the space heater, the hosts were responsive, & the heating blankets on the bed were clutch. One night I was startled by several barking dogs while walking back to the cottage & Guy quickly intervened, but most days I just saw their chill dog, Django. The hosts were generous throughout my stay, letting me use laundry detergent & even offering a ride to a local café after checkout. The location is also near lots of art & culture events. It was sucha grounding place, would absolutely book again!

I will biased when it come to reviewing the Amanda's place due to the fond memories I have of it having been the first Airbnb facility that I booked at. I cannot even begin to describe the level of contentment I meant when I discovered that it was available for booking. It truly holds a special place in my heart. What sticks out the most for me is the hospitality extended towards me, the location is excellent as it is close to my work place. The place is secure, clean and offers a lot of peace of mind. The decor is exquisitely done, and the rustic furniture and decor invokes sentimental memories of me growing up in the rural areas among communities. My only qualm is that I could not extend my stay as the place had already been booked on my last day of stay. If there is one that I cannot seem comprehend is how difficult it is to find this vacant on Airbnb. I will definitely be going back !
