We really enjoyed the Matchmaker. The history of the home and island is special. We enjoyed the ferry to Cape Lookout and Shackleford Banks. The home was so comfortable and clean. I highly recommend this property!

My wife, nephew and I loved staying here. It was a pleasant experience. The house was large enough for our needs. The back patio and back yard is also very peaceful! The only detractor is that it is right on a major state road, so in most rooms of the house the loud whirring of cars can be heard. Not a big deal to us, though. Great value for the price, we will be back.

This was a very nice, private place to stay. The house is beautiful with nice views of the sound. The bedrooms were big and comfortable with comfortable beds. The bathroom and showers were amazing. The kitchen had good amount of space. Outdoors was nice too with firepit and hammock. Comfortable couch and recliner. Nice office area with fast high speed internet. Highly recommend. Fishing was good off of the dock.

This home was exactly what we were looking for for our family weekend gettaway. We love being able to go to the beach without staying at the beach. The beach was a short 20 minute drive but we were able to come home to the peaceful small town feel that Marshallberg offers. Our kids rode their scooters to the corner store every day, and we quickly made friends with all the neighbors while walking our dogs. The house was perfect and the backyard with that beautiful magnolia tree was amazing. The outdoor shower was perfect after a long day at the beach. Charles was quick to answer any questions I had and was extremely helpful. We will definitely be back.

The house is great! The yard is perfectly for hanging out in and the little beach that is present when the tide is low is awesome! We went swimming and looked for seashells—just bring water shoes. There are a couple nearby restaurants and stores for groceries. Atlantic Beach and Morehead City are a 30 minute drive too.
