Although it's a rustic homage to the lumberjacks and jills of yesteryear, this cabin includes many of the comforts we now enjoy including a queen bed, kitchenette with fridge, hot water, AC/heat, a Keurig coffeemaker, smart TV and charcoal grill. This A-frame is to die for!! Seriously the cutest place. Very peaceful and cozy in the center of nature. You truly are secluded and have lots of privacy. We didn’t realize how far away we were from things but just a 20 minute drive to iron river did the trick if needed last minute things from a dollar general. You’re only an hour-ish away from Lake Superior — it was fun driving through the forest highways! We grilled out 2 nights at the cabin using the charcoal grill that worked perfectly! Host responded fast when we had questions. The bed was so comfy as well! The host has a captioned picture of the indoor fireplace in use but in the book at the cabin you’re instructed not to use it, that was pretty much the only bummer due to the weather being on the cooler side of 50s-60s but we cozied up outside with the fire pit, played games (lots of games and movies host offers) and made s’mores! It was the perfect little getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary! :)

The cabin was beautiful! Clean, well taken care of, and lots of space indoor and outdoor for my family (3 kids, 8 and under), parents, and brother and sister in-law and their two kids (both under 3). I also brought my dogs and they enjoyed roaming the big backyard. The beach was wide, the bonfire with firewood was great for relaxing and hanging out, and the private dock was perfect for fishing and watching the kids on the beach/backyard. The water is shallow by the dock but we still caught some fish every now and then which was a pleasant surprise. We rented the owner's pontoon and we enjoyed using it to explore the lake and fish. Truly, this cabin was the perfect place for a gathering with family. Thank you!
