Cabin holiday rentals in Grayson County

Hands down the best appointed Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. Absolutely gorgeous surroundings. Fantastic, proactive communication. Clear instructions. Would recommend to anyone. We stayed for the Grayson Highlands trail runs and were really pleased with all the place had to offer as we were resting after our long trail races. It took us less than 35 minutes to get to the start on race mornings, and there were restaurants nearby to feed us when we were done. Very comfortable beds with lots of pillows — and I like to sleep with 4! We will certainly rebook here if we run the same race next year.

Stayed here a few times. Love how remote it is. Hardly have a signal which I love. It’s right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Can walk up and down the road which is nice. Breakfast is always amazing!! Love it!!

Great, secluded location. We were lucky enough to be there at a time when no one else was on the big property, but even if we weren’t the only ones it still would have felt very secluded and private because of where the house is situated on the property. It was relaxing!

The house is beautiful and the fenced in side yard was absolutely amazing! Walking out on the back porch from my bedroom and hearing the water and feeling the crisp morning air was so awesome! The front door is right at the road so be cautious of small children or pets! The house could use a good deep cleaning! And the upstairs is a bit creepy! LOL! But still a wonderful place to stay! The host always answered my questions quickly! We really enjoyed ourselves! And would love to stay again!

This is a wonderful stay for 2. The place is clean, the only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the cobwebs and dust on fixtures. Whoever cleans did a great job...just didn't go high...for a while. Over all the stay was great. It says no kitchen, but there is a hot plate and a convection/microwave! The TV has been upgraded from photos as well! You have everything you need inside and out, the view from the porch is heavenly, and the lightning bug show at night is spectacular, just magical. Worth the stay!

This place was absolutely amazing! We had a wonderful time and the will definitely be coming back! The cabin was cozy and the view was breathtaking. The host was kind and very accommodating. The views, hiking, hot tub, and the lack of cell phone service made this trip and a wonderful way to disconnect from daily life to spend quality time with each other and relax. All around this is the best experience I’ve had with Air BnB and 100 percent recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway

This place is fabulous! The house is gorgeous and the expansive property is a dream! We loved hanging out on the deck watching all the birds (25 species including Cedar Waxwings and Scarlet Tanager) and admiring the wildflowers. At night, there were tons of fireflies and incredible views of the stars (no light pollution). The house was spotless, the bedrooms spacious, and the beds super comfortable with lots of extra quilts. We also appreciated the fully stocked kitchen. They literally provided everything we could possibly need!

Fantastic house with plenty of space. Well provision kitchen. Gorgeous views. Close to Galax. Very conducive to outdoor living and generally good for the soul.

The cabin is awesome, very well equipped and comfortable. We were 11 and 2 dogs and we had a beautiful time for Christmas and New years. Michelle is absolutely a great host, very flexible with check-in and check-out times and responded quickly and very nicely at all times. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful and great quality time. We had 5 teenagers and they absolutely loved being there watching movies and playing board games.

We spent Thanksgiving at this cabin! The kitchen had everything we needed and more! The beds and bedding were very comfortable. We even went online and ordered the same pillows, sheets, and blanket! We set the scene by lighting the electric fireplace, had a glass of wine, and started a puzzle the house provided. Family enjoyed the back deck and fire pit area. We look forward to staying here again!

What a great cabin! Everything was clean, and the location is absolutely beautiful. Short drive to Grayson Highlands, Damascus, and there is fishing in Laurel Creek just 5 minutes from the Cabin! Will definitely stay again the next time we are down here!

The house and surroundings is one of the prettiest places we’ve stayed. For the two of us and dog it was the perfect size. The big tv in the family room was terrific, thank goodness because it rained the whole time we were there so we watched several movies. The screen porch was also a big plus with the rainy weather. I enjoyed the kitchen; I was impressed by how nice and plentiful the pots and pans were. The river view is spectacular.

Claudia is a very responsive and helpful host. Cabin was clean and easily accessible. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived which was very sweet, and cabin was nice and warm. We will definitely be back.

This property was beautiful and super close to Grayson Highlands State Park. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils you could possibly need. We enjoyed the views of the firefly light show from the back porch. We wished we had time to enjoy the fire pit - it looked so cozy with cute adirondack chairs - but we were whooped from all the hiking we did.

Our long weekend spent at the cabin and around the area was spectacular! The cabin had everything we needed & the wifi worked no problem. We walked the river & fished, spent lots of time out on the deck. We would love to stay at the Cabin again! Definitely a special place.

Scott is a great host.He tried to help us to find the place.Warm up the house before we arrival and welcome our later arrival.He is super sweet and nice!

What to say... This place is AMAZING! My wife(Ella) and I were looking for a place in Virginia for a hiking trip. We decided on Jackie's place. This was also our first major hiking trip since getting married(Jan 2025). It was perfect. Peaceful. Quiet. Surrounded by nature. Also close to many hiking destinations so the trip back each day was fast so that we could relax. Oh... And did I mention screened in porch! The screened in porch had me a little emotional. My late grandmother passed years ago and we'd always sit on her porch(when it rained, late at night, watching weird neighbors, all kinds of stuff). It is a cherished memory. Anytime a porch like this is involved it brings back so many memories with her. Note: Give the great outdoor puzzle upstairs a chance. We had so much fun putting it together! This place could easily hold 3 or 4 people or a small family. There's plenty of space(inside/outside) to have your together and me-time. It was the best for us 2. We'll be back!

Lovely space! You cannot beat the views at this location. It was so lovely to wake up to the beautiful fields and seeing the cute cows alongside the fence. The cabin was so peaceful and so cute! It was very warm and homey! It was well stocked with everything you need. The communication between us and the owners was so helpful and they were super responsive. Very kind and understanding! I 100% recommend and we hope to return soon.

We stayed for only three days but had a great time. The kids loved the game room.

Our stay at this cabin in the North Carolina mountains exceeded all expectations. It offered the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation, with plenty of outdoor activities and a comfortable, peaceful place to retreat to at the end of the day. Wow, what a beautiful spot on a mountain this house sits on! Checking in was easy, the gated community gives you a little more security, and it was a very quiet neighborhood. Owner always answered my messages quickly. Pictures were accurate and house was nice inside. Kitchen had plenty of dishes, utensils etc almost everything for the many meals we cooked (byo spices). Living room was very comfy. Our favorite part of the house was the huge deck with amazing mountain views! Wow. We would open the double doors and sit in the living room with the breeze blowing in and views out back. Absolutely incredible! The location made it easy to get to Grayson Highlands and other hiking spots. Go rent bikes in Damascus and ride the Creeper trail, our kids had a ball! I did have a few suggestions for the Owner and they seemed proactive in resolving them. A baby gate for basement stairs, the old VHS/dvd players can be updated to modern firesticks/apps. But I’d highly suggest staying here! Thx again!

My husband and I had a delightful stay here. We biked every day on the New River Trail, which was below the cabin. We could leave the house and be on the trail right away. The view of the river was spectacular and it was enjoyable to sit on the porch and listen to the river and birds. Very quiet place-no noises around us. The inside was extremely organized and clean. Ollie thought of any questions we might have and was proactive to give instructions of how things worked. She is very accommodating, professional, and friendly. A delightful vacation all around.
