Monthly Rentals in Great Barrier Reef

Honestly probably one of my favourite places I’ve ever stayed. So peaceful. Perfect for birdwatching! Simple setup but had everything you really need. Beautiful hut, loved the open air bathroom. Hosts were very friendly and accomodating. Thanks for a great stay, I hope we’ll be back!

Great communication and flexible host. Location was great, beach front and just 25min from Cairns. Aircon and bed were good and the place was clean. My only recommendation would be not to have breakfast at the hotel, but somewhere else (not under the host control anyway)

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (11/10) Staying at this hidden gem was nothing short of magical. Nestled deep in the forest, this private hideaway offered wonder upon wonder. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every inch of the space had been crafted with care and peerless attention to detail — from the beautifully appointed interiors to the thoughtful touches that made it feel both luxurious and deeply personal. The private walking trail through the rainforest was breathtaking, leading us to a secluded waterfall and stream that felt like something from a dream. It was the kind of place where time slowed down — where you could breathe deeply, hear nothing but birdsong and flowing water, and just be. This stay was simultaneously an inspiring recharge and also a sublime unwind. Whether sitting on the deck with a coffee watching the mist roll through the trees, or wandering the paths, every moment was restorative. A truly unforgettable escape. We have already booked our return.

Jodie’s place is such a hidden gem. The house and surroundings are beautiful. We loved evening BBQ’s on the deck and our morning walk to the waterfall guided by Blue the dog was like something out of a fairytale. Loved every second, thank you!
