What can I say about Salt Air, other than SPECTACULAR! This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The house is pristine and spotless and the location is beyond beautiful. Mark is an amazing host, he goes above and beyond in communication and in providing such a lovely home to stay in. We were looking for peace and tranquility and we found it in spades here. I could go on for days about how perfect this place is, but instead of listening to me, you should just book your trip to come here! You certainly won’t regret a single moment! Thank you Mark!

We had a great stay at Rich and Julie's Beals cottage. The space looks exactly like the photos and had everything we needed. The design and decor were impressive and unique. The boat was a fun addition. One evening we enjoyed our Jonesport pizza and beer on the deck while watching the harbor. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare breakfast each morning. We enjoyed a good night's sleep in the comfortable bed and the shower was powerful and refreshing. Although it may seem there is not a lot to do in the area, Rich, the host, will prove that wrong. He has meticulously prepared 4 binders worth of itineraries and highlights of the area. We enjoyed the "Dock Walk" around Beals prepared by Rich. Seaduck Point was a great trail with the dogs. Rich was super supportive when a rainy day canceled our puffin cruise. Rich was ready with suggestions of things to do and extremely supportive. Don't miss The Milkhouse Cafe in Machias. Great coffee and pastries. Highly recommend the cottage.

The Cottage was exactly what we were looking for to stay in the area for the night after attending the NHS Graduation ceremony. The cabin had all the amenities of a home with the distance from town to give it an "off the grid" feeling. Beautiful area! The host was very responsive, and we would definitely rent from this host again, either the cottage or the house on the same property. Worth checking out for sure!!

The experience left nothing to be desired as we were looking for a remote spot and a place comfortable and spacious enough to stay inside during bad weather and Jeff’s place checked the boxes. We were the only ones in the 2 unit home. The view is very pretty and the wildlife is plentiful. The access to the water is down a dirt embankment which leads to mud flats at low tide. Beware of the tides if you can get the kayaks down there.
