The house is located in beautiful, quiet natural surroundings down to Esrum River. From the house, there is a view of the garden, river and fields. Next to the house is the main house where there may sometimes be someone. The house is nice with a nice kitchen and bathroom and everything a house should have. 10 min walk from beautiful sandy beach. The house has, in addition to a large double bed for 2 people, a 140 cm box mattress on the loft. There is free access to kayaks, SUP, fire pit, bicycles and fishing rods. New WILDERNESS BATH and ICE BATH are available for a fee.

The cabin is provided with a sofa bed, “NOT one BED”, with top mattress 140 x 210. It is intended for 2 adults. There are pleated sun shades everywhere, not blackout curtains. Possibility to charge electric car. Covered bike parking.

Five grownup bicycles available for guests. Please note no smoking inside or on the property. No parties.

Der er 12 km til den smukke fiskerby Gilleleje. 8 km til Tisvildeleje med strand, mange cafeer og restauranter samt shopping.

Esrum is a small quit village placed 50km outside Copenhagen. Esrum is beautiful situated next to one of Denmark greatest forest, Gribskov, and in working distance to Esrum Lake. Gribskov offers many outdoor activities, such as hiking, mountain biking, bird watching and much more. Esrum monastery is placed 100meter from the house, and offers museum and different activities. In the daytime there are a Café serving light dishes. Nearest grocery store is in the next village, 3km away.

It's a 10-15 minute walk to groceries and Dronningmølle Station, 8 km to both Gilleleje and Hornbæk, and 55 km to Copenhagen.

The Black Cottage + Orangery

Available from April 1. - October 31. The Black Cottage and orangery are parts of the historical place called Skippergaarden (Skipper´s Residence) Fabersvej 2c, in the old Gilleleje. Skipper´s Residence is built in 1797 with last remodeling done in 2003/4. The Black Cottage from 1892, when summer residents became popular. Last remodeling 2019/21. The orangery is from 2009. We have wi-fi and parking available.
