Holiday rentals with a kayak in Guerneville

We were so lucky to find this location for our recent trip! We booked last minute so didn’t have time to research the area much but Harman was so friendly and responsive and shared great recommendations. The setting is so beautiful and peaceful you never need to leave and we enjoyed access to all the provided amenities, kayaking everyday, and playing ping-pong and games. There was something for every one in our group from ages 5 to 85! It was the perfect setting for our family and I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Really enjoyed our stay at Kelly’s in Duncan’s Mills—this place had it all! Beautiful scenic views right off the back balcony and easy river access, made us feel immersed in nature. Plenty to do with your own private dock, kayaks, bikes, hot tub, and nearby town/shops just a mile down the road. Would definitely recommend this spot for a relaxing and fun getaway. Kelly was also an excellent, responsive host and helped make our trip nice and smooth. Thank you!

Stephen's home had all the amenities to keep kids entertained and adults happy with it's beautiful setting. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The house had everything we needed and more and I would gladly recommend this stay for anyone looking for a peaceful yet fun escape.

Wonderful home! Clean rooms, Comfy beds, cool retro bathrooms, hot water always available. We (and the kids especially). lover the warm outdoor shower. The Kitchen is so well equipped but we made most of our meals on the grill on the back deck. We spent days watching and being on the river, fishing from shore, hot tubbing and grilling delicious meals. My 4 year old learned to ride a bike on their quiet street. We biked to Monte Rio beach and Lightwave cafe and skatepark easily (brought our own bikes). We saw a bald eagle and a harbor seal while we floated down the river! Thanks for a great stay, highly recommend. Important to know: all bedrooms have a sky light, that means the kids are up early. We enjoyed the early start, but if you dont then I suggest you bring blackout curtain or tent for the kids

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this location. Beautiful surroundings in the Redwoods. The home is very well appointed and has everything you need to feel right at home. The ping pong table in the game/tv room was a fun added touch. We’ll definitely look to stay here again during our next visit to the area.

We’re very familiar with the surrounding area and this home is classic to the Russian River vibe. It’s easy to access Jenner Highland preserve, Armstrong woods and river activities. We found the listing to be accurate and very clean. We did not access the small secondary building but appreciated the hot tub. We also were glad we left our dog at home as there is no grass on the property and several stairs to navigate. It would certainly work for some dogs, but not ours was quite large. We did appreciate David’s immediate response to our request to edit our reservation when we decided not to bring our dog; excellent communication!

In a word - delightful! We very much enjoyed the back deck and patio with morning and afternoon sun, a relaxing yard with views of the river, osprey, swallows and even deer. The kitchen was very well equipped with high quality appliances/utensils/cookware/dishware etc for easy mealmaking. Playing records from Adam's collection was memorable & reminiscent. The beds were very comfortable - especially nice with french doors looking out to the back yard and riverscape. The location is easy distance from Monte Rio, Jenner and Guerneville, paddleboarding, beaching, hiking nearby plus nice to walk our dog Lexie in the extended neighborhood. Adam was a great host. We highly recommend Adam's delightful cottage retreat, and look forward to future stays!

We loved the property and its proximity to the water and two large beaches. The house itself is thoughtfully decorated and has the furnishings and supplies just like it would if someone actually lived there rather than the typical Airbnb “shell” that only has the bare necessities (or less). We did have an unfortunate complication that occurred when we arrived. Things happen, but what matters more than anything is how a host handles an unexpected event. Jay was kind, understanding, and empathetic and did everything needed to make things right. We will absolutely be back.

We had a great stay at the Waterfall house. The location can't be beaten; it's secluded, the views are great and it is within walking distance from all of the Jenner hot spots :) Baked goods and drinks from Cafe Aquatica were the perfect way to start our mornings. We also had a great time kayaking on the river with the seals! The kitchen was stocked well enough for all of our needs as a group of 5, and the porch and deck spaces were great for hanging out. The sofa bed wasn't super comfortable but it was good enough for our needs. The other beds were all very comfortable and we slept well! The hosts at the Jenner Inn were super responsive and helpful. We'd definitely stay here again!

A friend and I and our daughters had a lovely time staying here. I loved the mix of keeping the historical feel of the house and the tasteful updates the owners have done. We used the provided kayaks and paddle boards to paddle on the river. It is mellow enough that you can paddle up and down without any trouble (at least in mid-June). The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. We used the firepit one night to cook "hobo" dinners and make smores. The spa was also nice. We went to the nearby town of Guerneville to go vintage and antique shopping and eat meals. We also went on a hike near the beach. And nearby Duncan Mills is also a nice place to eat and shop. The nearby Lightwave Cafe is an experience! Definitely recommend a meal there. I would definitely stay here again.

Small hiccup getting into the house and Amber was super quick to help! The place was stunning! So beautiful and so well appointed. The home is 10/10!!

We just completed a lovely stay at Emily's place -- the home is on a very quiet road, spacious, well-appointed, and the decor is a great match for the environment. One bedroom with adjoining bathroom is on the ground floor and the other is on the second floor, making it perfect for two couples -- plus there's a bonus bunkbed in the front room for kids. The outdoor space, surrounded by redwoods, has several seating areas with a nice hot tub (seats 4). The neighbors were all very welcoming and nice, we felt right at home in the area. We've been coming up to Russian River for about 20 years and had never heard of this small community, it was wonderfully off the beaten path yet close to everything! There is also secluded and well-maintained neighborhood beach which was great for sunbathing / kayak launching. Emily had alerted us that map apps weren't reliable for the area and sent a pinned location -- definitely use it and pre-load an area map, especially if you'll be arriving in the dark.

Karen's place was amazing! It looks beautiful in the photos and even better in real life. It's so peaceful—we saw deer and foxes from the balcony. The wonderful view from the hot tub is also so nice. It's one of the best Airbnbs we've stayed in. Location, privacy, size, etc, everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Lucky Bend Lookout was absolutely a dream. I wish I could stay on the porch overlooking the river (with redwoods right on the property!) forever. Despite the space being somewhat small for 8 adults, it was so well-appointed and with so many bonus outdoor spaces that it didn't feel that way. Sarah went out of her way to ensure we understood the details in the listing and had all the info we'd need in advance. The house was very clean, and well-stocked with the essentials. Nothing super fancy but it very much did the job. Hopefully I can come back sometime in the summer when the dock is installed.

High recommend - this place was very beautifully furnished and efficiently laid out, felt bigger than it is. Plenty of space for 2 adults and two young adults inside plus a spacious outdoor deck. Super comfortable place, exactly as described. Linens and beds very comfortable, delightful and plentiful table ware which is not always the case. The host was very proactive with details on how to access the keys and that lockbox codes expire at a specific time which was very helpful. Also great to have kayak and paddleboards available too. Loved it.

If you are looking for a cozy space where you can wake up, walk down a few flights of stairs and be in the water, this is it. It is clean, cozy and wonderful. They have one kayak, which we used and appreciated (bring a second kayak so you can cruise around together - or some inner tubes). The only challenge is parking. There is one parking spot and our Tahoe was sticking out into the road a bit (we almost drove off the cliff trying to make it work). We highly recommend.

Cherie was an excellent host. The accommodations surpassed our expectations. Very comfortable and easy to get around the area. We will definitely return.

We had the most special weekend with friends at Britta’s house! It’s such a cozy property with incredible views of the river. Everything was exactly as described and perfectly clean. Being able to just walk down to the river and enjoy our morning coffee there was such a treat. And the proximity to downtown Healdsburg and wineries made it a great location for all of our weekend activities. Britta and Blake were extremely responsive and great to communicate with too. If you’re considering this property, don’t hesitate - it’s truly such a beautiful escape from the city and we can’t recommend it enough!

The courtyard and hot tub really made the space for us. It felt like an outdoor living room. We even made s'mores by the open fire. We enjoyed sitting in our private hot tub till late in the night. I'm not sure why i had the impression that this was a 1 bedroom but it was a studio (as described). That said it's more appropriate for a couple or a young family vs a small group who might want to have the ability to close a door and separate their sleeping spaces. I went with my 5 year old daughter and friend. The big king bed was very comfortable but the sleeper sofa was not so much. We ended up putting the sleeper sofa mattress on the ground and this created the stability needed for a good nights sleep for my friend who slept on it. The ability to use the pool was a big plus. We arrived on a Thursday night and unfortunately the Rio Nido Lodge pool closed at 6pm and the restaurant closed by 8pm so we enjoyed lunch and pool there on Friday during the day. The Lodge served food till 10.

A cozy private room and comfortable bed with desk and closet space in a pleasant little house on a hillside. Friendly and accommodating host, and the company of a well-behaved dog and a pair of sociable cats. Definitely recommend.

We stayed at Otter House for a month in the Spring of 2025. We felt at home from the get-go. Tom was extremely responsive to our questions and needs (he even delivered an Amazon package to us after he let us have them send it to his address!) The house is very comfortable, well-appointed and peaceful. He lives nearby and given the length of our visit, there were some maintanance issues that came up ( hot tub, gardening, routine work around the house) and he always asked if it was ok to carry these out. In the house, there were pamphlets about things to do that let us dive into the area quickly. The yard IS fenced in as described, but would not hold a small dog in. The area is lovely and it was grand to have the time to explore Villa Grande and surrounds. We would stay again in a heart beat.....
