Really nice place, great area for walks with animals and/or children. Heidi is very responsive and friendly. Breakfast is excellent and varies from day to day. We'll be happy to go back!

We had a really pleasant stay: a thoughtful welcome, a charming, spacious, very well-equipped cottage, beautiful outdoor spaces (the pool is very large!)! All in a preserved calm! Sandra and her family are very friendly, discreet and available if needed. The area is very beautiful and the activities varied: hikes, lakes, medieval villages, caves, porcelain dives... In short, an excellent vacation, very relaxing, which corresponded perfectly to the description of the listing!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful place! House is very clean and stylish. We haven’t met the owners but the lovely couple that welcomed us we’re super friendly. They came by twice during the week to take care of the perimeter and (although they only spoke French) were able to help out with small things. The pond is a mile walking and we had the place completely to ourselves. The only downside was that we had some nightly noises from Loir animals in the ceilings and hollow walls. Would definitely recommend!

The cottage is lovely. Located in the owners garden, it enjoys a granite terrace with a relaxing armchair ideal for stargazing and sunbathing that can be moved under a catalpa (the bean tree). You can park a hundred meters away in a small parking lot. The layout of the home is neat with a remarkable woodwork done by René. In the upper room there is the bed under a fairly low roof that does not allow standing. Access is via a fairly steep milling ladder. The only downside is the absence of a small fridge in the lower room. You have to go to the owners house to enjoy 2 shelves in their fridge. We may also regret the lack of wifi, but it is clearly mentioned when renting. However, the phone passes perfectly in this pretty secluded corner of the South of the Creuse.

We stayed with Andrew, Raisha, Alba and Jax in June. What a fantastic gite, gardens and lake. Lovely views, quiet and relaxing. The gite had all equipment required with a terrace for morning coffee. Fishing was brilliant. Hubby caught large catfish, common carp and an albino catfish!. Great place to relax and watch with a glass of wine. Andrew gave lots of fishing hints and tips to enable my husband to catch fish throughout the week. One very happy husband!! The pool was quiet and secluded with a lounging area. English TV available. Andrew and Raisha were fun to be with and were extremely hospitable. Raisha's cake and strawberry jam were delicious. We can highly recommend Andrew and Raisha's gite as one of the best places we have stayed at. They are very welcoming and attentive. Jackie & Dominic

We stayed at the beautiful Chateau Firbeix for 3 nights to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary, joined by our two young boys and my wife’s sister and her partner and what a special, breathtaking experience it was! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the charm of the chateau, the stunning surroundings, and the warm welcome from our incredible hosts, Caroline and Tim. The accommodation is full of character and beautifully kept, with thoughtful touches throughout that made us feel instantly at home. We loved making use of the pool, games room, and all the space for the kids to explore and enjoy. But the real highlight was the anniversary celebration feast that Caroline and Tim put on for us — an unforgettable evening of local produce, delicious wines, and wonderful company. We left with full hearts, happy memories, and a promise to return. Hugely recommend Chateau Firbeix — a slice of French paradise.

This cottage is very nice, very well equipped. Plus, it's step-free. In addition, Brigitte welcomed us very warmly.

Beautiful accommodation, in a relaxing and beautiful countryside. Rod and Martin are very friendly, welcoming, responsive hosts. Charming touches were waiting for us at the cottage, flowers, wine, homemade bread as well as cookies, good eggs from the estate's chickens. We enjoyed everything, but especially Rod and Martin's smiles and kindness.

My husband and I spent a wonderful few days at the gite. When we arrived after a very long drive from Calais there was a chilled bottle of Astri waiting for us, which went down a treat, as well as water and other refreshments. The gite was spotlessly clean, absolutely beautiful and smelt devine. Chimene was a brilliant host, helpful, friendly and communication was excellent. Really we can’t praise this place highly enough. Would love to keep it as our own little secret but we mustn’t! It’s too lovely not to share! If you are looking for a glorious heavenly place in beautiful French countryside, fitted out comprehensively, stylishly and immaculately then look no further. And furthermore Royston and Michelle are the most considerate and lovely hosts.

We spent two nights in the accommodation. This one corresponded faithfully to the description of the ad. The setting is very pleasant and the environment very quiet. We received a very good welcome from our host and had a pleasant weekend in this accommodation.

The accommodation was impeccable in every way: communication, location, impeccable cleanliness, amenities, numerous and quality amenities, tastefully decorated. It meets all expectations of a high quality air bnb. Very good location, excellent bakery 3 min walk away. Walks nearby. Careful owner, available. A great quiet stay. A real favorite!

We have been to many AirBnBs before, but this one has been the most pleasant by far. The gite is beautifully located in the Dordogne and provides a perfect base to experience the French culture and country from. Upon arrival you can park your car on the private driveway behind a gate, which feels very safe and secure. The gite is clean, tidy and very well equipped with anything you could ask for. We spent 10 days here with four adults and two babies. Elaine made sure there were two cots in the gite complete with sheets for the babies. There are baby/child chairs, dressing pillows, baby pools, toys for the babies etc etc. The large pool was well taken care of and lovely during the hot summer days. You can choose several sun beds to relax on next to the pool. We were provided with towels and were welcome to use the shower and washing machine in the bathroom next to the pool, but we could obviously also shower in the nice bathroom inside the gite. The beds are comfortable, with very nice sheets and pillows. But what makes this Airbnb stand out from all the others we’ve been to is the way we were welcomed and entertained during our stay by the hosts. Elaine, Lindsay, Derek and Megan are amazing people. They love to have a chat and cater to your every need. During our stay they made sure we had everything we needed and provided lovely entertainment. In short, our first holiday with the babies could not have been any better, thanks to the hospitality of our hosts and the very nice and complete gite. We will definitely come back!
