The Former Mechanics institute in Masham is a grade 2 listed building stepped in history. The building was Mashamshires Lecture hall from 1856 until until the 1950's when it became the Town Library and the Midland Bank. The main advantage of this building is that the former Lecture hall / Library room remains intact and there perfect place for people to drink and dine. The dining table seats 12! The Whare offers stylish, peaceful accommodation close to Bedale centre. It has cooker, hob, dishwasher, underfloor heating, wi-fi, smart TV, dedicated work room, outdoor seating, parking and secure cycle storage. Ideal for a couple or a single person. No pets and no smoking. Not suitable for children. The market town of Bedale is 'the gateway to the Dales' and boasts a beautiful Georgian main street and an abundance of places to eat; an ideal base from which to explore North Yorkshire.

Chequer Barn Apartment

An oak framed loft apartment is above a large garage which is accessed by stairs with a balcony for tree level seating. The space is not attached to our house and has separate access. The pitched roof gives the apartment a feeling of space and light, with underfloor heating. The outside space is ideal if you want some fresh air. We are in a rural location with no amenities, although the nearest village is only two miles away. We would welcome all visitors, but we don’t accept children.

One well behaved dog is welcome.
