My husband and I and our two large dogs (that spend most of their existence as inside dogs) had a blast for our weekend getaway. Our dogs loved exploring, chasing birds and playing in the lake. My husband and I caught fish right off the side of the dock. We took the canoe out (with our dogs) and paddled to the other side of the lake to a private little beach. There is a restaurant/marina/small grocery store just a 4 minute drive. We appreciated that the fire pit was already set up with wood and kindling (it was perfect for s'mores) and we cooked our meals on the provided propane grill. We didn't get a chance to use the hot tub, but it looked great! Things you'll need to bring: lighter/lighter fluid for the fire pit, shampoo/conditioner/soap, fishing poles, insect repellent, sunscreen Things you won't need to bring: beach towels, bath towels, canoe/kayaks, life vests, paddles Elizabeth was a great host and we will definitely stay again.
