Beachfront holiday rentals in Heraklion

we had a great week at Maria's place. The covered terrace is the most beautiful room in the house with a magnificent view of the sea. The beach is less than 5 minutes' walk away, but beware, for people who have difficulty walking, the slope is rather steep to climb. Maria is very responsive and responds very quickly to messages. Agia Pelagia remains a small seaside resort very well located to visit the north of the island. Beautiful discovery

The pictures don’t do this view justice. It’s breathtaking! The home is gorgeous and the outdoor space is wonderful. It was too cold for us to swim but we still enjoyed time at the beach. Most of the immediate area was already shut down for the season during our stay but there is a lovely area about a mile walk away. We spent a lot of time there enjoying the coffee shops and restaurants. The house and rooms were fantastic and there was more than enough space for everyone to relax. The host was amazing and went above and beyond to help us when we left some glasses at a restaurant. Thank you so much for a great stay!!

I’ve stayed here before and always come back! The location is central, but when you close the balcony door, you can’t hear any noise from the main street. Dani welcomed us very warmly and is an amazing host.

An oasis of calm close to the seafront, harbour and old town. The house is beautifully renovated and as all that you need for your stay. Communicating with the owners was excellent & we got an instant response. It would have been helpful to have a bit more information about services in the immediate area especially grocery shops. Overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend to others.

This quaint AirBnB was not only comfortable but also a stone’s throw away from the beach. We felt right at home and enjoyed every moment - would totally recommend! (Side note: Crete is a gorgeous but absolutely HUGE island, if you want to get around easily and visit other beaches you should definitely hire a car) 🇬🇷

Excellent stay with Myron who offered to pick us up from the airport. In less than 20 minutes we were at the destination with a warm welcome and very useful information. The accommodation, in all respects consistent with the photos and description, is ideal for two, everything is very well thought out. It is located 100m from the beach and the Havana Beach Bar (which offers free sunbeds if you take a drink and good homemade dishes) and several tavernas offering traditional Cretan cuisine at an excellent value for money. The bus stop to Heraklion is 200m away and takes you there in about thirty minutes depending on traffic, there is also an express bus to the Palais de Cnossos. We recommend 100%.

Overall, we are satisfied with our stay. Particularly noteworthy is the extremely professional and friendly manner of the hosts - great praise to both of them! We found the apartment in a good and above all very clean condition. New condition, modernly furnished, air-conditioned, windows incl. mosquito nets, comfortable beds and equipped with all necessary utensils. In addition, the apartment has an outdoor shower (separate room that can be entered from the outside) and a small laundry room with a washing machine. In addition, we were able to enjoy some welcome gifts (water, beer, cocktails, nuts, etc.). It is also possible to use the pools in the hotel opposite free of charge. The only negative point is the non-optimal location of the apartment. Since the property is quite noisy and the terrace is facing the street, you get quite a lot of traffic (especially the many coaches were heard).

Dora and her family were so friendly and helpful. Dora collected us from the bus and arrived the next morning with a pot of soup. Delicious. Everything about the accommodation was amazing. A lovely apartment nice pool area , nice walks. Bravo restaurant and staff are fantastic. Antonis is so friendly and welcoming. It’s our favourite restaurant. I would highly recommend this Airbnb

Had a great stay! Thank you for your warm hosting, as well as your responsiveness and flexibility. The Airbnb is very well located: about 20-25 min from Heraklion by car and 10 min from the center of Hersonissos. Not having a vehicle, I got around by bus or taxi. There is a stop right in front of the accommodation (at the Zorbas Village Hotel) or another stop about 15-20 minutes walk. It is better to have a car to get around, go shopping because the Airbnb is a little out of the way, there is no hypermarket nearby on foot, it is a tourist area with many hotels, the molo café opposite offers free deckchairs. The location is very nice and safe, there are a lot of buses, taxis, cars but it's not too disturbing. The sea is right across the street, not even 2 minutes away, the view from the garden is great (of the sea and the mountains). The accommodation is comfortable and perfect for one or two people. I would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Dimitrios’ house in Lygaria! The home is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. The view from the balcony is breathtaking, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The location is ideal: peaceful and quiet, yet just a short walk to the beach and local tavernas. Dimitrios was an exceptional host, welcoming, responsive, and full of helpful tips to make our stay even better. One thing to note is that there are sound monitors inside the house. We’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing escape in Crete.

Very enjoyable stay. Manos is a great host from providing clear instructions to proactively checking in on us. Lovely little house which is so close to the beach and main road with lots of nice restaurants.

Beautiful little house literally five minutes walk from the beach. There is even a lovely little garden outside with plenty of sun and sea breeze. The location is excellent, there are restaurants and supermarkets within just a few minutes walk. Despina is a wonderful and kind host. I really enjoyed staying here and would love to return.

5 stars are not enough to give Komissa's. The home is beautiful, historic and unbelievably located. It was not lacking in any amenity and if it was Yvonne was available to provide it. I cannot say enough about how wonderful my stay was. Yvonne is a fabulous hostess; every recommendation was spot on and she was kind enough to take me to her favorite taverna where we were treated like queens. She goes the extra mile (kilometer) to ensure you have everything you could want or need. She makes sure you see the "real" Crete, not just what the tour books tell you. While the pictures are 100% accurate and completely represent the home, u you cannot see just how centrally located the home is until you are there. And the rooftop! So peaceful and surrounded by so many beautiful plants I cannot wait to come back, now that I've traveled through Greece, i can spend my entire vacation at Yvonne's home. 100 stars all the way and i can't wait to come back to Ag.Pelagia! We had a great time in Kostis' apartment! The location is perfect, sea view and close to the center, everything can be done on foot. The apartment is as described and as pictured! Our stay went very well, thank you again, and I recommend it 100% 😊

The Airbnb was perfect! Everything as described, literally 1 second away from the beach, there are many restaurants and bars close by. The view from the balcony/rooftop was incredible, the sunsets were to die for! The communication was very quick and friendly. We absolutely loved our time here! The listing description was spot on. No surprises as everything was exactly as described. The best part was 100% the beach! Its literally right in front of the apartment! Falling asleep to the sound of ocean waves every night was so nice. Agia Pelagia itself is ideal for a relaxed vacation. The beach is peaceful, very clean, and has a great mix of sandy spots for lounging. There’s also a solid variety of restaurants nearby, plus plenty of supermarkets and souvenir shops just a short walk away. Everything you need is within walking distance. I came here with my best friend and we had the most amazing time. We’re already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful seaside getaway!
